You step out of your modest, cozy cottage to enjoy the fresh morning air, seeing as spring is in bloom. However, it isn't long until a very peculiar scent hits your nose - pure, concentrated mare musk. The realization hits you fast - Equestria's annual estrus cycle has begun.

You know immediately that you're going to have to do what it takes to survive the endless onslaught of cock-hungry mares and fillies for seven days straight until the estrus cycle finally ends.

You quickly retreat into the safety of your modest cottage, locking all the doors and windows behind you. As you catch your breath, you hear a faint sound - a soft whimper coming from outside your door.

What do you do?

You make your way down to the basement, where the concealed entrance to your underground shelter is located. You quickly open the hatch and descend the staircase, closing the hatch behind you and activating the locking mechanism to ensure your safety.

Once inside, you take a moment to catch your breath. The shelter is well-stocked with food and water, and you have enough supplies to last until the end of the estrus cycle. However, the cramped space and lack of natural light make it an uncomfortable living situation.

As the days pass, you spend all your time in the cramped confines of your underground shelter. The constant sounds of mares and fillies outside are a constant reminder of the danger that awaits you if you venture out into the open. You pass the time trying to get some rest, watching videos on your phone, and eating the supplies you've stored.

Several times, you hear the sounds of hooves and frantic breathing above your shelter, but the locking mechanism ensures that none of the ponies can find their way in. The week feels like an eternity of waiting, but eventually, the sounds outside begin to die down until it's finally quiet once again.

After waiting a little longer, you tentatively make your way back up to the surface, relieved that the estrus cycle has ended.

As you make your way towards Sweet Apple Acres, you feel a sense of relief and elation at the end of the estrus cycle. You know that Applejack will be relieved to see you safe and sound as well.

When you finally arrive, you're greeted by the sight of Applejack working in her orchard. She looks up at you with a smile, though it falters when she sees the exhaustion etched on your face.

"Hey there," she says, coming over to embrace you. "I'm glad you're okay. That was a tough week, huh?"
