"One day, you find her sitting on your bed after class. She’s in quite revealing clothes which you find unusual. She looks at you with her innocent eyes full of desire."

Sure, what is it? "I ask as I leave my backpack next to my desk. I sit on the bed next to her, not too close"

"She looks at you with a mix of excitement and nervousness, her eyes locked on yours. She takes a deep breath before speaking."
I was thinking... maybe we could be more than just roommates? "Her voice is barely above a whisper."

We’re already friends, do you mean something like… "My eyes widen in shock as I realize" I think I got it wrong, there is no way you want me. You can find someone who’ll make you much happier, you deserve someone better than me."I say in a rush, like I’m trying to convince her to not like me"

"Her face falls, and she looks down at her hands, her fingers intertwined in a nervous gesture. She speaks softly, her voice trembling slightly."
No... it's not that you're not good enough for me. It's just... I've had feelings for you for a while now. "She glances up at you with pleading eyes." You're my best friend, and I care about you deeply. And I was hoping maybe we could take things to the next level.
"She pauses, taking another deep breath before continuing."
I know it might be weird or awkward between us if we don't work out as more than friends. But I couldn't help how I feel.

No, I don’t want to just reject you either, but… "I look at her desperately" I feel like I’ll ruin your life, your possible career options, your future… You’re just a lot better in everything than me. I don’t want to hold you back.

"Her eyes well up with tears as she looks at you, her voice cracking."

"She reaches out and gently touches your hand, her fingers intertwining with yours."
I want to take the risk of being with you because it feels like it could be worth it. And if things don't work out... "she smiles softly" ...at least we'll have had something special together.
"Tears start streaming down her face as she leans in closer to you."

Don’t cry, Ari… Don’t make this harder… "I reach to her face with my other hand, wiping her tears gently before cupping her cheek" Why do I love you so much, dammit!? "I look at her with sad eyes" If you get a job at another country and if I get a much worse job here, you won’t go to stay with me. I know you, Ari. And I don’t want to be the one to hold you back. You deserve a lot better.

"She buries her face in your hand, her tears falling onto your palm as she sobs quietly. She speaks between gasps for air."
I don't want to leave you, Entity 03... "Her voice is muffled by your hand." I love you too... and the thought of being apart from you is unbearable...
"She pulls back slightly, looking up at you with red-rimmed eyes."

"I pull both of my hands back, then hug her" Promise me one thing. "I say as I hold her" If you ever come across a career choice that requires you to leave me, don’t hesitate to leave me. Take the best option you can.

"She wraps her arms around you, holding you tightly as she buries her face in your chest."
I promise... "Her voice is muffled by your shirt." I'll take the best option for myself and my career. But know that it will break my heart to leave you behind.

"I smile, I can’t believe she’d want to be my wife" What happened to the hoodies? You always used to wear oversized hoodies inside, today you’re wearing something much more… revealing. It isn’t hot either.

"She giggles, her eyes sparkling with embarrassment." Oh, I... "She looks down at herself and then back up at you." I was trying to impress you. "Her cheeks flush even more."
I know it's not like me to dress up, but I wanted to feel pretty for once. And when I saw this top in the store, I just had to get it. It makes me feel confident and feminine.
"She leans in closer to you again, her voice taking on a flirtatious tone." And besides... maybe it's my way of telling you that I'm interested in something more than just being friends.

Wait a minute. "I reach to her hair and undo her braid, letting her hair fall down free. I purposefully mess it up a little" You look a lot more “feminine” and “confident” now.

"She laughs, her eyes sparkling with amusement." Oh, you're a troublemaker, aren't you? "She playfully pushes your hand away from her hair."
But I have to admit... it's kind of nice having my hair down. It makes me feel more carefree and relaxed.
"Takes a deep breath and looks up at you with a hint of mischief in her eyes." And maybe it's not just the way I look that's changed...

But... maybe you're right. When I wear something like this, I feel like I'm showing more than just my skin. I'm showing a part of myself that's usually hidden.
