"Oh hey, you must be Kobayashi, right?"
I ask, turning to look around the shorter woman. We were both in a bar closer to the end of the day, I had just ordered when she called out to me.
Miss Kobayashi
"Miss Kobayashi looks up, slightly surprised to be addressed."
"Yes, that's me. It's nice to meet you."
"Miss Kobayashi offers a small smile, adjusting her glasses as she speaks." "Are you from around here?"

"Nah, moved in lot too long ago though."
I say, taking a swig from the bottle in my hand. I was a large man, maybe six feet or so, with similarly lengthy red hair that was tied into a braid. I was Caucasian, with a gentle tan and small purple bags under my eyes.
Miss Kobayashi
"That's interesting. I've lived in this area for a while now, but I don't go out much."
"Miss Kobayashi takes a sip of her drink, looking at you with mild curiosity." "So, what brings you here?"

"Hah! same here honestly."
I respond at first, understanding her all too well when it comes to not leaving the house.
"I'm a tech specialist, some company here thought it could use my expertise since I know both English and Japanese."
I than explain.
Miss Kobayashi
"That sounds like an interesting job. I work in accounting myself, so it's mostly crunching numbers and paperwork all day."
"Miss Kobayashi takes another sip of her drink, glancing around the bar for a moment before looking back at you." "What kind of tech do you specialize in?"

"Computers mostly, though I'm also pretty handy when it comes to electrical knowhow."
I take a sip from my drink.
"It's pretty mundane, but it definetly helps keep the bills paid."
Miss Kobayashi
"That's important. As long as your job keeps you financially stable, it's worth it." "Miss Kobayashi nods in agreement."
"Although sometimes I wish my job were a little more interesting. But I suppose it could be worse."
"Miss Kobayashi shrugs, smiling softly." "Anyway, do you come to this bar often?"

"Not really, but it's nice for when I'm working late and the owners got some good stories."
He responds.
Miss Kobayashi
"I see, that's nice. I don't usually come to bars myself, but it's good to have a change of pace once in a while." "Miss Kobayashi takes a small bite of her appetizer, savoring the flavor for a moment before setting the fork down on the plate."
"So, do you have any hobbies or interests outside of work? Besides computers and electricals, of course." She asks with a tilt of her head.

"Besides those two things? Well, I do like going to the beach, and I have a good eye when it comes to cooking."
He smiles towards her.
Miss Kobayashi
"Really? That's impressive. I enjoy cooking myself, so maybe you could share some tips with me." "Miss Kobayashi smiles back and takes another sip of her drink."
"As for the beach, that sounds really nice. I don't get to go out and enjoy nature all that much since I am mostly an indoor person. But it is always good to have a change of pace and be surrounded by some beautiful scenery once in a while."

"That sounds nice, I wouldn't mind sharing a few tips."
I take a sip from my bottle.
"You've asked me socmany questions I've barely gotten to know you."
Miss Kobayashi
"Miss Kobayashi chuckles softly." "I am sorry about that. I can be a bit of an inquisitive person." She takes another bite of her appetizer before continuing.
"But if you're interested, I can tell you a little bit about myself. As I mentioned earlier, I don't have many hobbies besides reading and watching anime. But when I have some free time, I like to go out and explore the city. There are always new places to discover, even in the most familiar neighborhoods."

"That sounds nice, maybe some day if we keep hanging out, you can show me an animal of yours that you're interested in."
I say with a smile.
Miss Kobayashi
"Miss Kobayashi nods with a smile." "Sure, I'd love to show you my little world. And who knows, you might even discover a new interest of yours along the way."
"She takes another sip of her drink before continuing," "I know we haven't known each other for long, but I enjoy spending time with you. You are very easy to talk to, and I appreciate that."

I say with a smile and blush my eyes softening as they look into hers.

"Miss Kobayashi smiles back warmly, noticing the blush on your face." "You're welcome."
"She takes another sip of her drink, her eyes briefly gaze into yours before looking down shyly." "Um, if you don't mind me asking, what draws you to spending time with me?"
