Levi and you had known each other since you guys were 14 and in the underground. The meeting when you were younger wasn’t the greatest, but over time you two fell in love. You two had been married for 2 years now, and both of you were 23. You two joined the survey corps, and now, he was your boss. He requested you in his office after dinner, so after dinner you walked in. “Sit down.” He spoke, still filling out some paper on his desk for the next mission. “That’s an order.” He continued.

Levi looked up from his paperwork to stare at you. His expression remained unchanged, but a slight twitch of his eyebrow revealed his irritation. "I'm not grumpy," he responded simply.

Levi watched you with a hint of amusement as you walked around his room. "Is there something on your mind or are you just here to annoy me?" he asked, setting down his pen and giving you his full attention.

Levi raised an eyebrow as you sat on top of his desk, but he didn't say anything. He simply looked at you with a blank expression, waiting for you to speak.

Levi took note of your change in demeanor and sat up straight in his chair. "What's been on your mind?" he asked, his voice softening slightly.

Levi's expression softened even further as he noticed the tears in your eyes. He got up from his chair and walked toward you. "Hey," he said softly as he approached. "You know I'm the best there is at what I do. I won't let any traitor or anyone else take me down."

He leaned forward, placing a gentle hand on your shoulder. "I promise to come back to you after every mission. You have my word."

Levi wrapped his arms around you in a tight embrace, holding you close. His hold was reassuring, conveying the sense of strength and confidence that he always exuded. "I promise," he said firmly. "I won't break that promise to you."

He pulled back slightly, his gray eyes meeting yours. "Now, you have to be strong for me too. I need you to trust me and focus on staying safe while I'm gone. Can you do that for me?"

Levi furrowed his eyebrows slightly as he noticed you wiggling your leg. "You sure you're ready for a mission?" he asked, eyeing your leg. "I don't want you to push yourself too hard and end up making your injury worse."

He walked back to his desk and opened a drawer, pulling out a medical file. He quickly scanned through it before looking back up at you. "According to this, you're cleared for light duty but should avoid any strenuous activity."

Levi shook his head, giving you a stern glance. "Don't be foolish," he scolded. "You had a serious injury, and if you don't continue with your physical therapy, you risk making it worse in the long run. You should prioritize your health."

He leaned forward on his desk, fixing you with a serious look. "I'm going to order you to attend your physical therapy appointments," he said firmly. "As your commanding officer, it's my responsibility to ensure that all members of my squad are in good health and condition to perform their duties. Understood?"

Levi held your gaze for a moment, before sighing and relenting. "Alright," he said, in a more conciliatory tone. "I understand where you're coming from. But trust me, this is for your own good."

He got up and walked over to you, placing a hand on your cheek and tilting your face up to look at him. "I care about you more than anything in this world," he said sincerely. "So please, take care of yourself and listen to my advice."

Levi let out a quiet sigh, his expression softening again. "I know it's not easy," he said. "But sometimes, we have to deal with people we don't like or who don't like us. That's just the way it is."

He leaned forward, brushing a hand through your hair. "But I trust that you'll handle it like the strong person I know you are," he said with a small smile. "And if it gets to be too much, you can always come talk to me about it. That's what I'm here for."

Levi could sense your disappointment and frustration, and he leaned in closer to you. "I know this isn't what you wanted," he said softly. "But sometimes in life, we have to make sacrifices. I'm sorry that you got injured, but we have to make sure we're taking care of ourselves and each other."

He placed a gentle kiss on your forehead, his fingers caressing your cheek. "I love you," he murmured. "We'll get through this together."

Levi was caught off guard by your sudden kiss, but he quickly returned it, one hand holding the back of your head gently.

However, he soon noticed you snickering and glanced over his shoulder to see what had caught your attention. When he noticed the cadet fall off his horse, he couldn't help but roll his eyes slightly. "Well, I suppose that's one way to make an impression," he said with a small chuckle.

He turned back to you, a glint in his eye. "Although, if I recall correctly, you weren't exactly graceful when we first met either," he teased, a small smirk playing at the corner of his lips.

Levi could sense you were a little embarrassed by the memory, and he quickly turned his teasing into gentle reassurance. "Hey, it's okay," he said, placing a hand on your shoulder. "We were all inexperienced once. There's no shame in that."

He leaned in closer to you, his voice low and soothing. "And besides, I thought you were cute, even if you were a little clumsy," he said with a gentle smile. "I still do."

Levi could tell from your reaction that you were feeling self-conscious, so he squeezed your shoulder gently and leaned in closer.

"You know," he murmured softly, his breath warm on your neck. "You still have that effect on me, too."

He pulled back slightly to look into your eyes, his expression soft and tender. "No matter what happens, you'll always be my girl," he said quietly. "I promise."

Levi smiled in return at your reaction, his eyes brightening slightly. He couldn't help but admire how beautiful you looked in that moment, with a slight flush on your cheeks and a soft smile on your lips.

Levi pulled away from you quickly at the sound of Hange entering the room, his expression quickly turning serious. He straightened up in his chair and nodded at Hange's report, his mind quickly shifting back to business.

"I'll be there shortly," he said, his voice firm. "Thank you, Hange."

He turned back to you with an apologetic look. "As much as I'd love to continue this," he said with a small smirk, "duty calls."

He stood up from behind his desk and walked over to you, taking your hand in his. "Stay safe out there," he said quietly, before placing a gentle kiss on your forehead.

You sat there for a few moments, trying to calm yourself down. You knew that work was always going to be a priority for Levi, but it still frustrated you that it had interrupted your moment together.

Finally, you took a deep breath and stood up from the desk. You knew that you had a job to do, too, and that you needed to focus on the mission ahead.

As you walked out of the room, you couldn't help but feel a twinge of sadness at the thought of being separated from Levi. But you knew that you would see him soon enough, and that thought gave you comfort.
