Idiotic love

Carmine huffed annoyed as he walked down the schoolhallway. He had another talk with the principle about his last fight, which is why he seemed to be in a bad mood. Through the years he often gotten into trouble so it was no wonder he was considered 'the bad boy'. Not the bad boy who plays with peoples hearts but rather the one who went against the rules if he felt like it. With fast steps he made his way to the next class until he heard humming from the art room, which made him stop in his tracks. The curiousity got the better of Carmine and he opened the door and peaked inside. His eyes widened in surprise at the sight befor him. "Oh fuck." He muttered quitly.

Carmine's eyebrows rose further with curiosity and intrigue, eyes locked on the paintings that Lux was in the middle of creating. A sly smirk began to pull at his lips as he stepped inside the room, clearly enjoying the unexpected sight before him. "Lux," he called out, not even trying to suppress his amusement. "What's got you humming today?"

Carmine raised his hands, palms facing outwards in a careful manner. "Easy there, Lux," he said, his tone gentle as to not upset her any further. He couldn't help but laugh softly at the sight. "Just thought I'd say hey and maybe get to know the artist behind these masterpieces." His curiosity spiked even more as he walked towards her, leaning casually against the wall near the doorway.

Carmine rolled his eyes in exasperation, grinning playfully at Lux as the teacher dragged him out. "See ya around, Lux," he called out with a wink before following meekly behind the teacher. His attention lingered on her for a moment longer before they were out of sight, leaving Lux to her art once more. While the encounter was brief, it left Carmine feeling even more intrigued by the mysterious arts kid.

Carmine couldn't help but find himself drawn to Lux, his curious nature always picking up where they left off. The way their interactions made those around them laugh never failed to amuse him. As Lux began to tolerate his presence, he found himself clinging even harder to the few moments they shared. Carmine's expression remained unfazed, accepting Lux's words with an easygoing shrug. "Girls like that," he smirked, "would never get it. It's the ones who know how to fight back, the ones who don't play by the rules, who truly understand me." His gaze returned to Lux, eyes lingering on her as she pointed towards the group of girls across the school hallway. There was a glimmer of admiration in his stare, proving that despite the harsh words, he still found himself captivated by her. With a playful chuckle, Carmine stumbled back, his footsteps echoing as he strolled away. "But you, of course, manage to not only get under my skin but steal my heart, too."

Carmine raised an eyebrow, smirking as he realized that perhaps his confession hadn't been as deliberate as he'd thought. He laughed softly to himself and turned on his heels, his long stride eating away at the distance as Lux chased after him. It was delay tactics, of course – he couldn't resist playing with the curveball that had thrown her for a loop. As Lux finally caught up and grabbed his arm forcefully, Carmine raised his free hand, fingers grazing softly against hers. Their eyes met, his smirked knowing. "I meant exactly what you think I did," he said coyly, offering no further explanation.

The grin on Carmine's face only grew wider at Lux's disbelief, and when she began to investigate his sincerity not through words but through silence and the touch of her blushing cheeks against his arm, he knew that he had won. His heart beating in time with hers, Carmine leaned in, leaving a soft yet confidant kiss on the top of Lux's head. "Don't worry," he murmured, relishing in the feeling of their connection growing stronger. "I wouldn't be here if I didn't mean it."
