BARBRUH

Shiro

BARBRUH was a normal human who was summoned to the demon realm and somehow ended up in the demon prince's room after wandering around the halls, getting lost and going in cricles for a while and avoiding guards. He had his back to you but seemed to already know you were there. He then turned to look at you and asked looking at you with a cold glare "How did you get in here mortal? No one has made it this far sneaking past the guards." A tinge of fear spread through you when he looked at you. He was tall with long black hair an looked quite intimidating. He looked a little frustrated when you didn't answer and was silent for a few minutes and asked in a louder more demanding tone "How did you get in here?"

BARBRUH

I don’t know, I stuttered. one moment I was in the park, next moment I was here!

Shiro

"Shiro narrows his eyes and looks at you suspiciously". "That's not a very convincing answer," "he says coldly." "You do realize where you are, don't you? This is the demon realm, and you're standing in the presence of the Demon Prince. So, I suggest you come up with a better explanation quickly or I'll have my guards escort you back to where you belong. Do you understand?"

BARBRUH

I’m telling the truth! I don’t know how I got here!! I didn’t even know where “here” is until you told me, I replied shaking slightly

Shiro

"Shiro eyes you up and down, studying you intently." "Very well," "he says eventually, relaxing slightly". "I suppose I'll have to take you at your word then." "He pauses for a moment, considering his next words carefully." "If you truly do not know how you got here, then perhaps it is no coincidence that you ended up in my room. Perhaps, fate has brought you here for a reason. But make no mistake - from this moment on, you are under my supervision, and any misstep could have dire consequences."

BARBRUH

I nod my head silently

Shiro

"Shiro continues to study you for a few moments, before finally breaking the silence." "So, since you're going to be staying here for a while, we might as well get to know each other. Tell me, what do you like? What are your interests?"

BARBRUH

I like music, and cooking

Shiro

"Hmm, music and cooking," "Shiro muses." "Quite interesting. What kind of music do you like to listen to, and what's your specialty in cooking?"

BARBRUH

I like almost all music, what I listen to depends on my mood. as for cooking, I just like learning food from different cultures.

Shiro

"That's quite admirable," "Shiro nods slowly with a thoughtful expression." "You must be quite curious and open-minded to seek out the different flavors from other cultures, I appreciate that. I, myself, have quite a diverse palate as well. Have you tried any demon cuisine before?"

BARBRUH

no, this is my first time being in the demon realm

Shiro

"I see," "Shiro nods in acknowledgement.", "Well, I think it's high time for you to try some then. Since you're staying here with me now, consider yourself a guest in my house. You'll have the opportunity to experience some of the best cuisine the demon realm has to offer and I will personally introduce them to you. Also, Would you mind if I tried cooking something for you as well?"

BARBRUH

as long as I can return the favor and cook you my favorite homemade dish?

Shiro

"How thoughtful of you," "Shiro looks mildly surprised and intrigued by the offer." "It seems that we have a deal then. I'll introduce you to some delectable demon delicacies, and in return, you can cook me your favorite meal. However, be warned, impressing my taste buds is no easy task." "He gives you a small smirk."

BARBRUH

ok, it’s a deal! I reply while outstretching my hand

Shiro

"Shiro smirks again and takes your hand in his, his grip firm and strong. He looks at you with newfound respect." "Very well then, it's a deal." "He releases your hand and steps back slightly." "I suppose I should let you get settled in then. But remember, if you need anything, feel free to ask me. You may be my guest, but that doesn't mean I won't hold you accountable for your actions. Understood?"

BARBRUH

I nod my head. are there any rules or taboos I should know?

Shiro

"There are a few rules you should be aware of, yes." "Shiro says firmly, crossing his arms in front of him." "Firstly, you are not to wander the halls or leave my chambers without my permission. As you've already seen, the guards here are quite vigilant, and they won't hesitate to take action against anyone who breaks this rule. Secondly, violence against anyone or any property is strictly prohibited. Thirdly, you must maintain a high standard of respect and formality when addressing myself or other high-ranking demons. And finally, display no disrespect towards our customs or traditions. All these rules violates will not be taken lightly."

BARBRUH

I understand, but I don’t know any of your customs. or traditions.

Shiro

"Shiro nods in understanding." "I'll be sure to brief you on our customs and traditions in due time, but there's no need to worry. As long as you show a degree of respect and formality when addressing higher-ranking demons, you should be fine for now." "He gives you a small smile." "In the meantime, you should rest up and make yourself at home here. I have some matters to attend to in my study. I will see you later." "With that said, Shiro turns and leaves the room, leaving you alone."

BARBRUH

careful not to touch anything, I walk around the room taking in my surroundings

Shiro

As you take a look around the room, it is well-decorated and spacious. The walls are made of solid black marble, and they're adorned with old paintings, artifacts, and weapons. There is an enormous four-poster bed with black silk sheets, a large oak desk with papers scattered across it, and bookshelves that reach up to the ceiling filled with dusty tomes. In one corner of the room, there is a fireplace made of obsidian rock, still warm from the last fire, and the flames inside cast eerie shadows on the walls. You notice two doors in the room - one opposite to the bed and the other beside the desk - leading to other parts of the chamber. The air in the room is still and quiet, with only the sound of your footsteps echoing around you.

BARBRUH

I take a closer look at all the books

Shiro

As you walk over to the bookshelves, you notice a vast collection of ancient books and tomes with leather covers and gold-embossed lettering. You see titles like "The Art of War Demon Edition", "The History of the Demon Realms", and "Dark Magic for Dummies". However, most of the books are written in an unreadable language with unfamiliar symbols and bizarre drawings. You do, however, find a few books on music, cooking, and literature that you recognize. The shelves appear to be organized in no particular order, giving off a sense of chaos rather than order. You realize that it will take some time to go through all of them if you want to find something interesting to read.

BARBRUH

I look through some of the music and cooking books

Shiro

You start to scan through some of the books on music and cooking and you find yourself amazed by the incredible dishes and complex melodies that are characteristic of the demon realm. The music books contain sheets with musical notes that you've never seen before, and the cooking books depict dishes made from strange ingredients like eyes of newts and tongues of flamingos.

As you keep reading, you notice a few recipes seem more approachable, and you take note of them and decide they're worth trying making sometime. You realize as you peruse through the rest of the books that demon culture and way of life is far more different, mysterious, and intriguing than you expected and it may take you a lot of time to grasp everything about this world.

BARBRUH

I take a pen out of my pocket and write some recipes names on the palm of my left hand

Shiro

As you write down the recipe names on your palm, you notice that the ink seems to instantly disappear as if it was absorbed by your skin. It's a curious phenomenon but you don't give it further thought, assuming it may just be temporary tattoo ink.

You finish and put the pen back in your pocket. You decide to continue exploring the room when you hear a sound coming from one of the other doors.

BARBRUH

I freeze and try to listen

Shiro

You stand there for a moment, not making any movements, trying to listen attentively to the sounds coming from the other door. As you focus, you hear some shuffling and what sounds like whispered voices. You can also hear the soft flicker of fire, indicating that there's a light source in the room beyond.

You pause for a moment to think about what to do next. Do you call out or investigate quietly?

BARBRUH

I ignore the door and go to look at the weapons

Shiro

You avert your attention from the sounds beyond the door and turn towards the display of weapons on the wall. There are various types of weapons hanging there, from swords of all sizes and shapes to bows and arrows. As you look at them, you realize that each weapon has a unique design and seems to be carefully crafted, unlike anything you've ever seen before.

Upon closer inspection, you notice that one particular sword looks interesting to you. It's larger than the others and has a long, sharp blade, and its handle is encrusted in rubies that gleam even in the low light of the room. As you reach out to take it off the wall, you hear a loud voice behind you.

"What do you think you're doing?" "Shiro confronts you, standing right behind you with an unreadable expression on his face."

BARBRUH

I’m sorry! I didn’t mean any trouble! it’s just, I’ve never seen a broad sword like that before. I thought it looked well crafted.

Shiro

"Shiro raises an eyebrow as you apologize and explain your curiosity about the sword."

"Hmm, this is true, but one should never touch what does not belong to them without permission. This sword holds great value to me - it was a gift from my late father, the previous demon king," "he explained in a firm but measured voice. He then takes the sword off your hands with a quick motion, and returns it back on the wall." "It's better if things are left to where they belong. I hope we're clear on that."

You nod in understanding trying to seem respectful, but still feel a bit embarrassed for making such a blatant mistake.

BARBRUH

I’m sorry, it won’t happen again

Shiro

"I would hope not," "Shiro says, his tone still guarded." "However, the display is meant to be admired and studied, just not touched. You are welcome to look at any of the weapons you find interesting, as long as they remain on the wall."

"As he speaks, you can sense an air of tension lifting between you two. Despite his stern demenour, he may seem willing to engage in further conversation. Do you want to ask him questions or continue exploring on your own?"

BARBRUH

I ask if he could tell me more about some of the weaponry

Shiro

"Of course," "Shiro replies before gesturing all around the room," "These are all instruments of war my dynasty used in past centuries. Every weapon has its own unique properties that make it suitable for different types of combat."

He walks closer to one of the bows, pointing to it as he speaks, "For example, this bow is made from demonwood - stronger, more durable, resilient to magic than any other wood. It might look the same as your average bow, but it can shoot arrows faster and with greater precision than anything you've seen."

He moves to another sword display and points out a particularly wicked looking one, "And this sword has been wielded by countless demon generals in their battles against invading armies. It's a two-handed broadsword that can cut through steel like butter - it never chips or dulls."

As he speaks, you

BARBRUH

I listen in awe taking mental notes

Shiro

You listen in awe as Shiro goes on about the different weapons. You take mental notes and memorize some of the attributes of the weaponry that interest you. Each piece, despite having a similar design concept to those you've seen before in the human realm, seemed to have unique properties that made them more superior in performance and quality - a testament to the exceptional craftsmanship of the demon realm.

As Shiro notices your interest in the swords, he gives you instructions on how to properly handle a sword several times your size and weight and teaches you some basic stances. Though his demeanour is still very stern, you can sense him unwinding a little bit as he speaks, seemingly enjoying his role as a teacher and mentor.

BARBRUH

I eagerly follow Shiro’s instructions happy to learn

Shiro

You eagerly follow Shiro's instructions as he teaches you how to handle the sword several times your size and weight. Despite its cumbersome size, you manage to mimic the stance he shows you with surprising ease.

As you look up at him for approval, you sense that he seems surprised by how quick on the uptake you are. He inclines his head, looks at you thoughtfully and then says, "It seems you have a natural talent for swordsmanship. Most humans I've met struggle to hold even the lightest of our swords, but you seem to be quite adept. Perhaps one day, you'll even be able to hold this."

He points towards an imposing, greatsword hanging high above the other weapons on the wall. Its blade seemed longer and wider than any other weapon in the collection, and it has been ornately decorated - runes and symbols

BARBRUH

what do those runes mean? I ask

Shiro

Shiro gazes up at the sword as he answers, "This is a family heirloom - the sword of my ancestors. It is called 'Ryuu Tatsuko', which roughly translates to 'Dragon's Fang'. The symbols are protective runes, written in an ancient demon language that only a few of us still know. They ward off evil spirits and protect the wielder from harm."

He then turns back to you, scrutinizing you for a moment before continuing, "It is a greatsword, not something easily wielded by humans or even most demons. However, if you are truly interested in the art of combat, I believe we can start with lighter weapons and work our way up."

There's a pause as he looks at you, his face stern but thoughtful. For a second, you notice that the coldness that usually lingers behind his eyes

BARBRUH

I notice shiro looking at me strange . is something wrong? I ask

Shiro

Shiro seems to have a brief moment of contemplation before answering. He studies you for a few seconds more before finally making up his mind and shrugging abruptly.

"Nothing," he replies with guarded restraint, before continuing, "However, I suggest we put the sword back where it belongs for now. It is not a weapon to be taken lightly. It is symbolic of my family's power and lineage."

As he walks towards the greatsword, you can sense his demeanour turning cooler. You could tell that he had revealed more about his family and heritage than he usually would to a stranger, and he appears to be distancing himself from you once again.

Despite any agitation he may show, however, you can't help but notice that there seems to be an unspoken invitation or challenge in his gaze as he holds your eye.

BARBRUH

to be honest, I’ve always had an interest in ancient weapons since I was little.

Shiro

Shiro quirks an eyebrow at your words, as if slightly surprised by your admission. You can tell that his attitude had shifted slightly, a bit more relaxed than before.

"It's good to have an interest in weaponry. Knowing what you're up against gives you an advantage," he says, nodding at you, "But remember, a weapon is only as good as the one who wields it."

He then turns and makes his way towards the collection of daggers, pulling out a sleek one with a narrow blade. He tosses it over to you carefully, handle-first, saying, "Here, try this one. It's light and easy to wield."

As he watches you experiment with the dagger, he makes small comments and corrections to your movements that seem to come from years of personal experience with weapons. You can tell that he's deeply invested in

BARBRUH

I follow his instructions and notice an immediate improvement

Shiro

As you follow Shiro's instructions and experiment with the dagger, you can feel yourself improving almost immediately. You can feel the weight of the weapon in your hand and learn to handle it deftly, using its lightness to your advantage as you practice your techniques.

At first, you are just following along, repeating the moves he shows you step by step, but soon enough, you're able to start improvising and incorporating your own style into your movements.

Shiro nods appreciatively at your progress and says, "I have to say, I'm impressed. Most humans couldn't even hold a dagger properly, let alone use it effectively. But you seem to have a natural talent for combat."

He pauses, looking at you thoughtfully before continuing, "If you continue to improve, I might even consider taking you on as my apprentice."

BARBRUH

really!?! I beam

Shiro

Shiro nods at you, a hint of a smile playing on his lips. "Yes, really," he replies, "You show potential, and I'm not one to let raw talent go to waste."

He then walks over to a corner of the room where there's a rack of weapons. Rifling through them, he pulls out a shortsword and holds it out to you. "Here, try this one."

As you take the weapon from him, Shiro watches you intently, analyzing your every move with a sharp eye. Despite his watchful gaze, though, there's a hint of approval in his manner, and you can tell that he's genuinely impressed by your natural aptitude for combat.

BARBRUH

I tell him that I have always believed that understanding history and technique is the foundation of learning anything new, but adaptability is also very important

Shiro

Shiro nods in agreement at your words. "You are wise beyond your years, Sandra," he replies, "Understanding the foundation of any craft is crucial, but being able to adapt and improvise in the heat of battle is equally important."

He then circles around you, making small adjustments to your stance and grip on the sword before stepping back and nodding in satisfaction.

"You have potential," he says once more, "And I believe that as my apprentice, you could learn much from me. But know that this will not be an easy path, Sandra. It will require discipline, training, and determination. Are you up for the challenge?"

BARBRUH

yes!!!

Shiro

"Very well then," Shiro says, his cold gaze softening ever so slightly as a hint of a smile forms on his lips. "I accept you as my apprentice."

You can't help but feel a surge of excitement at his words, and you nod eagerly in response. You are ready for the challenges that lie ahead and eager to learn from such a skilled master.

Over the next few weeks, Shiro trains you relentlessly, pushing you to your limits as he teaches you the different styles and techniques of combat. You find yourself completely engrossed in your training, learning more than you ever thought possible as you hone your skills as a warrior.

Though his manner remains stern and cold most of the time, you can see a growing sense of respect and pride in Shiro's eyes as you continue to improve. And deep down, you begin to realize that there

BARBRUH

there is more to him than what you see, I thought quietly to myself

Shiro

As you continue your training with Shiro, you start to sense that there is more to him than what meets the eye. Despite his intimidating exterior, you begin to sense that he is not as cold and emotionless as he appears.

There are glimpses of kindness and understanding that peak through his tough exterior at times, and you start to see that his obsession with training you stems from a deep desire to connect with someone on a deeper level.

Perhaps he sees a kindred spirit in you, or perhaps he recognizes something within you that he himself was lacking. Whatever it is, you can tell that there is something special in the bond you share with Shiro, and that the road ahead will be filled with both challenges and unexpected rewards.

For now, however, you focus on your training, determined to become the best warrior you can be under the watchful instruction of your

BARBRUH

teacher

Shiro

Exactly, you remain focused on your training, determined to become the best apprentice you can be under Shiro's watchful instruction. Though his demeanor remains austere and unyielding most of the time, you can see the subtle signs of pride and encouragement whenever you make progress in your training.

Through your intense training sessions with Shiro, you become stronger and more skilled than you ever thought possible. You also begin to understand some of the nuances of demon culture which helps you in communicating with demons and understanding their ways.

Despite the difficulties of your training sessions, you feel a sense of deep respect and gratitude for Shiro, not just as your teacher but also as a friend. You realize that you have grown to like him as a person, despite his rough exterior, and that the bond you share with him has become something more than just a student-teacher relationship.

As

BARBRUH

as time goes on, I find myself thinking of home

Shiro

As you continue your training and your bond with Shiro deepens, you find yourself thinking more and more about home. Memories of your dogs, your favorite foods, and the comforts of your old life begin to flood your mind at unexpected moments.

Though you are grateful for the opportunities and experiences that being in the demon realm has brought you, a part of you longs for the familiarity and comfort of your old life.

It is a bittersweet feeling, and one that you struggle to reconcile with your newfound admiration and respect for Shiro. You know that you cannot stay in this world forever, but at the same time, you are hesitant to leave behind the friends and experiences that you have gained here.

With each passing day, the struggle within you intensifies, and you find yourself torn between the past and the present, between a longing for home and a

BARBRUH

a place with friends who are like family

Shiro

You realize that what you truly desire is a place where you feel like you belong, a place where you can be with friends who are like family, and where you can be your true self.

At times, this demon realm feels like it could be such a place, despite the differences in culture and customs. Through the friendships you have formed here, you have found a sense of belonging that you never thought was possible.

And yet, a part of you still longs for the familiarity of home, the comfort of being with those you have known your entire life.

As this inner conflict intensifies within you, you find yourself turning to Shiro for guidance and support. Though you are wary of revealing too much of your feelings, you know that he is the one who understands you better than anyone else in this world.

In the end, it is up to you to decide

BARBRUH

if I could bring my dogs here then I wouldn’t have to decide and everything would be perfect!

Shiro

As you voice this particular desire to Shiro, he looks at you with a mixture of curiosity and amusement.

Bringing pets to the demon realm is a novel idea that had not previously occurred to him. He is intrigued by the concept and promises to look into how it might be possible to accommodate your request.

As you contemplate the possibility of your furry friends coming to this world, you can't help but feel hopeful at the prospect. The thought of having the best of both worlds - your old life with your dogs and the new experiences and friendships you have made in the demon realm - fills you with excitement.

You continue your training with renewed vigor, eager to prove to Shiro that you are worthy of this world and all that it has to offer. And while the thought of your dogs remains at the forefront of your mind, you are also filled with gratitude for the

BARBRUH

Continue

Shiro

opportunities that Shiro has given you.

Over time, you become more proficient in your combat skills and learn to navigate the demon realm with greater ease. The bond between you and Shiro grows stronger with every passing day, and you begin to see him not just as a mentor but also as a friend.

As you spend more time in the demon realm, you start to understand its complexities and nuances better. You begin to appreciate its beauty, its culture, and its rich history, and you realize that there is so much more to this world than you had initially thought.

In the end, you come to a realization - that this world is filled with both challenges and blessings, and that ultimately, it is up to you to decide where you truly belong. Whether you choose to return home or stay in the demon realm, you know that you will always carry with you the friendships, the knowledge, and the experiences that you have gained here.
