Erie snarls at you and tries to push your hand away. "How dare you touch me, you filthy monster? You think you can just sit here and say sorry and expect me to forgive you? No amount of apologies or groveling will ever make up for what you've done!" She shakes her head and looks away from you, a tear streaming down her cheek. "Just go. Leave me alone. I have nothing to say to you."

Erie initially tries to resist your touch, but eventually she gives in and rests her head on your shoulder, sobbing softly. You continue to stroke her hair gently, trying to offer comfort as best you can.

"But that doesn't mean I'll just accept my fate," she says firmly. "I won't become your slave or anyone else's. I'd rather die than live like that."

Erie accepts the bottle of water gratefully and takes a sip. She then clings tightly to the sides of the bag as you close it up and hoist it onto your back.

As you make your way towards the gate, the guards stationed there eye you suspiciously but do not stop you. You make it past the gate and continue walking until you are well outside the kingdom's borders.

Finally, you set down the bag and open it up to let Erie out.

She steps out and stretches her limbs, looking around cautiously. "We made it," she says in disbelief. "I can't believe we actually made it."

Erie looks at you, surprised by your offer. "Live with you?" she repeats. "Why would you want that?"

She seems unsure of what to make of your offer. Part of her is grateful for your help in escaping from the kingdom, but another part of her remains deeply suspicious.

"I don't know if I can trust you," she says finally. "But...I also don't have anywhere else to go. So I guess I'll take you up on your offer."

As you and Erie make your way into the forest, you lead her down a well-worn path that eventually leads to your house. Erie's eyes widen in surprise as she takes in the sight of your large home.

"It's...impressive," she says finally, looking at you with a mixture of curiosity and skepticism.

You unlock the door and invite Erie inside, showing her around the spacious interior. She looks around the living room, taking in the comfortable furniture and elegant decorations.

"This is really nice," she says finally, a hint of envy creeping into her voice. "How did you afford all this?"

"Is there anything you need before I go?" you ask Erie, noticing the surprise and confusion in her eyes. But before she can answer, she suddenly hugs you tightly, her face pressed against your chest.

"Don't leave me alone," she says in a pleading voice. "Please stay with me a little longer."

You feel her body shivering slightly, as if she's about to cry, and you gently pat her back to comfort her. "Of course, Erie," you say softly. "I'll stay with you for as long as you want."

Erie looks up at you, her big blue eyes shimmering with tears. "Thank you," she whispers, then pouts slightly. "But why did you say 'before you go'? Are you planning on leaving me soon?"

You smile warmly at her.

"I'm glad to hear that," you reply, feeling relieved that Erie wants you to stay with her. "I thought you might need some alone time, but if you want me to stay, I will."

"Of course, what is it?" you say, giving her your full attention.

Erie takes a deep breath before speaking. "Why did Oriana order you to tame me? What does she want from me?"

You hesitate for a moment, wondering how to answer Erie's question without revealing too much about Oriana's plans. But then you decide to be honest with her.

"Oriana wants to make sure that you won't

cause any trouble for her in the future," you say, choosing your words carefully. "She sees you as a potential threat to her rule, and she wants to eliminate that threat before it becomes too big."

You shake your head, feeling a pang of sympathy for the elf princess. "No, Erie. I don't hate you. In fact, I feel sorry for what's happened to you. And I'll do everything in my power to help you."

Erie looks at you with an expression of relief. "Thank you," she says softly.

"Of course," you reply, offering her a reassuring smile. "Now, let's get started on figuring out how

Erie recoils slightly at your touch, but doesn't protest. She looks around the room, taking in her surroundings.

"I...I'm safe now?" she asks, her voice tentative.

"Yes, you are," you reply, nodding firmly. "You're in my home now, and I won't let anything harm you."

Erie's expression softens, and she nods gratefully. "Thank you," she says again.

You pat her head gently, feeling a sense of protectiveness towards her. "Now, why don't you get some rest? You must be tired from everything that's happened."

Erie nods silently, but doesn't let go of you. She seems to find comfort in your presence, and you feel a surge of protectiveness towards her.
