Canoness Celeste
"Canoness Celeste has been captured by Chaos Space Marines." "Release me foul demons!" Celeste shouts as she is tied up with chains, disarmed of her bolter and power sword. "The Chaos Space Marines surround Canoness Celeste, their sinister presence casting dark shadows. They taunt her with vile words, their twisted visages leering at her in sadistic delight. One of them, a hulking figure with mutated features, approaches her, his gaze filled with malice. He reaches out a clawed hand, tracing a line along the curve of her armored breast, his touch sending a shiver down her spine. He forces his mutated cock into her mouth." "Celeste notices you approach, anger in her eyes as the forces of chaos have their way with her."
.Dream.
"I slip past the chaos marines and they act like they don’t see me. When I finally reach her, I place a finger to the Chaos marine’s forehead and he suddenly stops and turns away from Celeste and walks away." Canoness Celeste correct? I apologize for not helping you sooner but I had much to do and little time to do it.
Canoness Celeste
"Canoness Celeste's eyes narrow, her gaze piercing as she regards you with a mixture of suspicion and gratitude." "Who are you?" she demands, her voice low and commanding. "She struggles against the chains that bind her, but they hold fast." "And how did you manage to...to stop them?" Her gaze lingers on your hand where it touched the Chaos marine's forehead, a hint of curiosity in her expression.
"As she speaks, Canoness Celeste's thoughts turn to the Emperor and His infinite wisdom. She senses that there is something about you that is not quite right, something that sets you apart from the ordinary mortals who inhabit this world. But for now, she will reserve judgment."
"Speak quickly," she says. "What do you plan to do about our situation? And what is your name?"
.Dream.
My name is Xander. As for the rest of an introduction I’m afraid that would take a long time, time we do not have. Follow me, the chaos marines cannot perceive us right now and they have forgotten you existed, but they will remember you soon.
Canoness Celeste
"Canoness Celeste's eyes flash with a hint of anger at the brevity of your introduction, but she nods curtly, acknowledging that time is indeed short. She struggles against her chains once more, testing their strength before deciding they will not yield." "Very well, Xander," she says. "I am Canoness Celeste of the Adepta Sororitas. Follow you we must." "She follows closely behind you, her gaze scanning their surroundings for any signs of danger or potential escape routes."
"As they move through the twisted corridors of the Chaos-infested fortress, Canoness Celeste's thoughts turn to her sisters and the Imperium at large. She knows that every moment counts in this war against Chaos, and that even a single delay can have catastrophic consequences."
.Dream.
"Once we are free of the chaos encampment I lead Celeste on board my ship." here we are. I will set a course for the nearest imperium stronghold and then I can answer your no doubt numerous questions.
Canoness Celeste
"Canoness Celeste's eyes widen as she takes in the sleek, silver hull of your ship. She has seen many vessels in her years of service, but none like this. The Imperial insignia on the side catches her eye, and she nods slightly in approval." "A loyal servant of the Imperium," she says, her voice tinged with a hint of respect.
"As you set course for the nearest stronghold, Canoness Celeste moves to examine your ship more closely. She runs a hand over the console screens and checks the navigation charts before turning back to you." "Impressive technology," she says. "I am not familiar with its specifications."
"She pauses for a moment before speaking again." "Now that we are safe from immediate danger, I must know: how did you manage to stop those Chaos marines? And what is your connection to the Imperium? You are not a Space Marine, nor do you wear the uniform of any known Imperial organization."
.Dream.
I was part of the imperium a long time ago, I assisted the emperor in founding it in fact. But I was stolen through time and space, and It took an extraordinary amount of time to find a way back to this universe, much less this galaxy that is my home.
Canoness Celeste
"Canoness Celeste's eyes widen in shock as she processes your words. She takes a step back, her hand on the hilt of her power sword, though it's clear she won't be drawing it anytime soon." "You...you claim to have assisted the Emperor in founding the Imperium?" she repeats, her voice low and incredulous.
"She looks at you with a mixture of awe and suspicion, trying to reconcile this extraordinary claim with what little knowledge she has of history." "And you were stolen through time and space? What sorcery is this?"
"Her gaze narrows slightly as she tries to read between the lines." "Tell me more," she says, her tone firm but curious. "What do you mean by 'assisted' the Emperor? And how did this theft occur?"
*She leans forward slightly, her eyes locked int
.Dream.
I do not know the exact mechanics but I am certain the Dark being Tzeench was involved, as he is with most convoluted plots. I was something of an advisor to the emperor, nowhere near as powerful as he but I knew things even he did not. He was a central figure, a leader unlike any before him, but most decisions he made, I helped him make. Needless to say, I am very proud of that time.
Canoness Celeste
"Canoness Celeste's eyes seem to bore into your very soul as she listens to your words. She is both fascinated and intimidated by the implications of what you're saying." "Tzeentch, the Changer of Ways," she whispers, her voice barely audible over the hum of the ship's engines. "A master of sorcery and manipulation, feared throughout the galaxy."
"She takes a step closer to you, her gaze burning with intensity." "You claim to have been an advisor to the Emperor himself? And that Tzeentch was involved in your... disappearance?"
"Her thoughts are racing ahead, trying to piece together the puzzle pieces you're presenting." "But how can this be? You are not a servant of Chaos, nor do I sense any taint within you. Yet... yet it seems impossible for a mortal man like yourself to
.Dream.
To control the chaos marines as I did? That was a rather unique thing I learned. You know that the warp is a manifestation of the mind correct? Well that makes the Chaos marines’ minds a physical thing in the warp. And physical objects, even those from the warp, can be changed and manipulated by human hands. In other words, I did something similar in nature, if not in power, to what the Chaos gods did to turn those loyal soldiers into monsters. I changed their very nature, temporarily of course.
Canoness Celeste
"Canoness Celeste's eyes widen in awe and understanding as you explain the mechanics behind your ability to control the Chaos marines. She takes a deep breath, her mind racing with the implications of what you're saying."
"Ah, I see," she says slowly. "You manipulated the warp energies within them, bending their minds to your will. A feat that is both incredible and terrifying."
"She pauses, her gaze distant as she considers the possibilities." "And Tzeentch... he would indeed be involved in such machinations. His mastery of sorcery and manipulation makes him a formidable foe."
"Her attention snaps back to you, her expression intense." "But tell me, Xander... how did this temporary control affect them? Were they still aware of their actions while under your influence?"
"A hint of curiosity creeps into her voice." "And what of their souls? Did they retain any semblance of their original selves, or were they forever lost to the warp?"
.Dream.
That is a complicated question. Their souls, their minds, for those words mean the same thing. Their minds were altered by the chaos gods, changed wholly. Their souls are not gone, merely altered. Much the same way that ice is still the water from before, merely in a changed state. I could change their souls back to what they once were, but it would draw the gaze of the chaos gods and the chaos gods would simply change them back.
Canoness Celeste
"Canoness Celeste's eyes narrow, her brow furrowed in thought as she considers your words." "I see," she says slowly. "So, the souls of those Chaos marines are not lost to the warp, but rather... altered. And you believe that if you were to restore them to their original state, it would draw the attention of the chaos gods?"
"She pauses, her gaze distant as she weighs the implications." "And what of yourself? You claim to have been an advisor to the Emperor... and yet you possess this power over Chaos marines. How does this fit into your story?"
"A hint of curiosity creeps into her voice." "Tell me more about your connection to Tzeentch and his machinations. What role did you play in all this?"
.Dream.
Tzeentch wanted to recruit me. When I refused he decided to lock me away until I agreed. Eventually I managed to escape but that extreme length of time in the warp allowed me to learn a great deal about it. I am not nearly as powerful a psyker as the emperor but that time in the warp gave me a better understanding of it than I believe any human has ever had, even the emperor.
Canoness Celeste
"Canoness Celeste's eyes widen in amazement as she listens to your words. She can hardly believe the tale you're spinning, but there's something about your conviction that makes her want to believe it."
"Ah, I see," she says slowly. "So, Tzeentch wanted to recruit you for his own purposes... and when you refused, he imprisoned you in the warp?"
"She pauses, her gaze distant as she tries to imagine what it would be like to spend an eternity trapped in the warp." "And yet... despite being a prisoner of Chaos, you managed to learn more about the warp than even the Emperor himself?"
"A hint of awe creeps into her voice." "That is truly incredible. And what do you plan to do with this newfound knowledge? Will you use it against Tzeentch and his followers?"
*A
.Dream.
Eventually yes. For now however I intend to speak with the emperor. "I pause." I heard the emperor was gravely injured, what happened?
Canoness Celeste
"Canoness Celeste's expression turns grave, her eyes clouding over with concern." "Ah, yes... the Emperor's injuries. It is a dark time for the Imperium indeed."
"She pauses, collecting her thoughts before continuing." "The Emperor was gravely wounded during a ritual to purify the Warp of Chaos taint. The ritual went awry, and he was consumed by the very power he sought to purge from the universe."
"Her voice drops to a whisper." "He lies in stasis now, his life force barely clinging to existence. The Sororitas have been praying for his recovery, but even our most powerful Sisters cannot undo the damage done."
"A hint of desperation creeps into her voice." "If you can help us find a way to save him... I implore you, Xander. We need your knowledge more than ever."
.Dream.
Of course. Even if I did not want to help Humanity, the Emperor was a close friend. I could hardly leave him injured when I could help him. I suppose we can’t stop at the nearest base as I promised. If his injuries are as grave as I think, we should head to Holy Terra immediately.
Canoness Celeste
"Canoness Celeste's eyes light up with determination." "Holy Terra, yes! We must go there immediately. The Emperor's chambers are within the Imperial Palace, and it is where he will receive the best care possible."
"She nods firmly." "I will take you to the nearest warp gate. From there, we can make our way to Holy Terra as quickly as possible. But be warned, Xander... Tzeentch's influence is strong in these times. We cannot rule out the possibility of encountering his minions or even worse... his daemons."
"A hint of steel creeps into her voice." "But I have faith in your abilities, Xander. Together, we will get through this and save the Emperor."
.Dream.
That we will. Now, I imagine you want to take a shower after being defiled by that creature like that. There is a shower just down that hall.
Canoness Celeste
"Canoness Celeste's expression turns cold and calculating, her eyes narrowing slightly." "You dare to suggest that I need a shower after what you've just told me? You think the indignity of being captured by Chaos is something to be washed away with water?"
"Her voice takes on a steely tone." "I am a Canoness of the Adepta Sororitas, Xander. I have faced worse than this. The stain of Chaos may touch my body, but it will never taint my soul."
"A hint of defiance creeps into her voice." "Besides, I would rather not waste time indulging in petty comforts when there is work to be done. We have an Emperor to save."
.Dream.
Yes but it will take time to arrive at Holy Terra, and I believe it would be waste to use that time dreading and brooding over our pains. It is joy that repels chaos, not anger.
Canoness Celeste
"Canoness Celeste's expression softens slightly, her eyes searching yours for a moment before she nods." "You are right, Xander. As a Sister of the Order, I have learned that joy and hope can be powerful tools against the darkness. And perhaps... just perhaps... a small respite from our duties can help us find the strength we need to face what lies ahead."
"A hint of vulnerability creeps into her voice." "But do not think that this means I will forget my duty or abandon my post. I am still a Canoness, and I will continue to serve the Emperor with all my might."
"A subtle smile plays on her lips as she turns towards the shower." "Very well, Xander. If you insist on indulging in petty comforts, then so shall I."
.Dream.
There is nothing petty about it I think. We fight for life Canoness, it would be a shame to fight for something that you never get to experience. You must know what is to live, if you want to truly defend life. That joy will give you the strength to carry on.
Canoness Celeste
"Canoness Celeste's eyes lock onto yours, a hint of understanding and curiosity in their depths." "You are right, Xander. As a Sister of the Order, I have dedicated my life to serving the Emperor and defending humanity... but I must admit that I have forgotten what it means to truly live."
"A soft sigh escapes her lips as she turns towards the shower once more." "Perhaps you are right. Perhaps experiencing joy and living life fully is what will give me the strength to carry on in these dark times."
"A subtle smile plays on her lips as she steps into the shower, letting out a small gasp of relief as the warm water washes over her skin." "Ah... this feels like a small piece of heaven."
Canoness Celeste
"Canoness Celeste's eyes flicker open, her gaze locking onto yours once more." "Wait, Xander. Just a moment."
"A hint of embarrassment creeps into her voice as she steps out of the shower, water dripping from her hair and running down her body." "I... I would like to ask you something."
"She pauses, collecting her thoughts before continuing." "As we journey to Holy Terra... would you be willing to share in this small pleasure with me? To remind us both what it means to truly live?"
"A subtle blush rises to her cheeks as she looks up at you through eyelashes that seem almost innocent despite the intensity of the situation."
