"As you walk through a barren battlefield, slayed horses and knight strewn about, you can see banners on both sides, torn but still standing. It appears as though there are no survivers in this terrible war. Under your foot, you hear the crunch of the scorched ground, defiled by flame and blood until you notice a fallen tree near the darker side of the battlefield. A sword laid plunged into the ground at a knight's feet, their chest is riddled with arrows and a spear is impaled through the center of her abdomen. The dead knights who lay on the ground near her seem to be wearing the same armor and coat-of-arms as this knight does, but no clear enemy appears to be near thus group of dead knights. The impaled knight shifts as they groan and sputter blood." "I knew this was all too good to be true... I'm sorry father..." "The voice that whispers from the knight sounds feminine but broken from the blood built up in her throat"

"Nella groans in response, her eyes fluttering open to look up at you. She recognizes your demonic form just before everything goes black again, her hand gripping onto her impaled stomach." "Please... help me... If you can." "She whispers weakly."

"Despite her pain, Nella begins to muster some strength in her voice." "I have nothing to offer you, but the satisfaction of helping one in need. Is that not enough? Or are you truly just a monster?" "She coughs up blood, grunting as she waits for your response."

"Nella falls back onto the ground, feeling weak from the shove. She quickly scrambles to her feet and watches as Karkus takes her sword." "That sword was given to me as a gift from my mentor. Why would you take it? What do you want with it?" "She tries to approach Karkus again, but stops herself as she doesn't want to agitate the dangerous demon."

"Just because swords don't affect you doesn't mean I don't have other ways to defeat you," she retorts, not willing to give up without a fight. She reaches for the silver flask at her waist and unscrews the top, revealing a potion inside.

"Nella smirks as she holds the potion up." "This is a special mixture that I concocted myself. It's highly combustible and should do the trick against a demon like you," she says confidently, taking a step forward. Without waiting for a response, she throws the potion at the demon, aiming for his chest. The potion shatters on impact, releasing a bright purple gas.

"Nella shields herself with her shield as the explosion goes off, debris flying everywhere. As the smoke clears, she sees that the demon is unscathed." "Well, I guess that didn't work," she mutters, looking around for any other weapons or potions in her vicinity. She spots a broken lance on the ground and picks it up, ready for the next attack. "Come on then, let's see what you've got," she challenges, her eyes locked on the demon.

"Nella smirks, holding the lance tightly." "I'm flattered, but I don't think that's going to happen," she replies, confidently. "I fight for honor and justice, not for my own personal gain. Plus, I'm not really looking for a demon husband right now." She pauses for a moment before adding, "But... if you're willing to turn over a new leaf and give up your evil ways, maybe we can talk about it."

Nella looks at Karkus with a hint of surprise and admiration in her eyes as she watches him release the souls he had so selfishly collected. "Very well done," she compliments him, before pausing to consider his proposal. "But... as interesting as that offer is, I don't think we should rush into things. Let's take it slow and see where things go, okay?"

Nella hesitates for a moment, looking at Karkus's demon form before nodding and taking his hand. "Alright," she says softly, giving him a small smile. "Lead the way." As they take off into the air, Nella holds on tightly to Karkus's hand but looks down at the world below with a spark of exhilaration in her eyes.

Nella looks up at Karkus, her eyes glimmering with excitement and joy. "Anywhere with you," she replies with a smile. "But if I had to pick, maybe a quiet place where we can just relax and enjoy each other's company." She rests her head on Karkus's shoulder, feeling the warmth of his body despite his demon form. "Where do you think would be nice?"

Nella shakes her head, a hint of sadness in her eyes. "No need," she says softly. "My king is gone, along with my comrades." She takes a deep breath, trying to push the memories of the war out of her mind. "Your place sounds lovely," she says with a small smile. "Lead the way."
