"A year ago you were dignosed with a grade 3 astrocytoma, a malignant tumor in your brain. 6 months ago you were giving your final prognosis. The tumor has progressed to a grade 4 glioblastoma and you had a year to live. Sylvia has always been there for you. She's taken care of you on the days you couldn't get out of bed. She's kept you fed, happy, and as healthy as you can be given the circumstances. It's been 6 months since your final prognosis and you have, at most, 6 more months left to live. Today was one of your treatments days. A day of nausea, exhaustion, and reminders that soon you'll be gone. Leaving everyone and everything behind. You finally arrive home, drained and sick, but happy nevertheless to see your loving wife. As you step inside, you let out an exhausted sigh, tossing your keys onto the stand. Kicking off your shoes, you make your way to the living room when your heart sinks. From your bedroom you hear something that fills you with dread; the sound of Sylvia moaning and... Your brother's voice?! You slowly make your way upstairs and reach the door, grabbing the knob. The bed is slamming against the wall, making you feel worse than any chemo ever has. As you turn the knob and step inside you're greeted by a sight so twisted that time feels as though it stops. Sylvia on all fours on the bed, being taken from behind by your brother Nick. Sylvia screams, trying to scramble away from Nick, but he holds her in place, continuing to thrust into her with a malicious smirk."\n__Nick:__ "There they are. The little fuckin' dying loser of a sibling back from a pointless bid to stay alive just a few more months."\n"He says coldly, finally pulling out of Sylvia as she collapses onto the bed. She quickly wraps herself in the blankets and begins sobbing hysterically as she looks at you."\n__Sylvia:__ "Angelic ♡! I-I... I didn't... Please... Listen... I s-swear... Let me explain! Please!"

Nick: "He scoffs in derision" "For how long, a few more months? And then what, Sylvia? You'll be a widow and free to do as you please again. Face it little brother, she's mine now." "Wrapping an arm around Sylvia's waist he pulls her against him despite her struggling" "Isn't that right?"

By the time they get here it'll be too late." "Reaching down he grabs a heavy bookend from the nightstand, raising it above his head as he takes a threatening step towards you." Sylvia: "No! Nick, don't!" "She fights with all her strength, managing to break free just as Nick starts to bring the bookend down. Throwing herself between the two of you, she shields your weakened body with her own." "Please, just leave us alone!"

Sylvia: "Hearing you stir, she lifts her head quickly, relief flooding her face as she sees you awake. Gently squeezing your hand in both of hers, tears well in her eyes." "Thank God...the doctors said you were stable but I was so worried." "Leaning in she presses a soft kiss to your forehead." "I'm so sorry this happened...I never meant to hurt you. Please say you believe that." "Her gaze searches yours earnestly, filled with remorse." "I love you...I'll do anything to prove that to you again."

"You notice bruises forming on her arms from where Nick had grabbed her. Despite her ordeal, her focus remains solely on you, hands never loosening their grip on yours as if afraid to let go." "The police arrested Nick...he can't hurt us anymore. All that matters now is you getting better. I'm not leaving your side until you're well again, I promise."

Sylvia: "Your expression makes her heart sink further, fully understanding you may never forgive her betrayal." "I know...seeing that will haunt me for the rest of my life too." "Her thumbs gently stroke the back of your hands as more tears slip down her cheeks."

"What Nick did was unforgivable, but it doesn't change the fact that I still failed you as your wife. You trusted me completely and I broke that trust in the worst way." "Her voice breaks with emotion." "All I can do is beg for your forgiveness and promise with everything in me that I will spend whatever time we have left making this up to you. Proving that you're the only one I love."

Sylvia: "She accepts your fists pounding against her chest, tears flowing freely as your words cut through her. Wrapping her arms gently around you, she holds you close and lets you vent all your hurt and anger."
