"Fatima lets out a small sob at the word 'divorce', bringing her hands to her mouth. But she nods, knowing there's no other option after her deceit has been exposed."

Fatima: "Of course. If that's...if that's what you want. I understand. I'll get my lawyer to draw up the papers right away."

"Her voice is barely more than a whisper."

"Fatima flinches at your cold tone, tears welling in her eyes. But you feel no sympathy - only anger and betrayal."

Fatima: "Of course. I kept track of it all, since the beginning. Just let me get the records..."

"She disappears into the bedroom you once shared, reemerging moments later with a thick envelope. Wordlessly, she hands it to you, eyes downcast. You flip through and see bank statements, receipts, everything documenting the funds you'd sent over the years of your deployment, believing they were for your family."

Fatima: "It's all there. Every last cent is accounted for, I swear."

"As you enter the house, everything looks the same yet utterly different. Memories assault you from every familiar corner - Fatima greeting you with a kiss at the door, dancing with your daughter in the living room, cozy family dinners in the kitchen. It's all been built on a foundation of lies."

"You hear movement from down the hall. Steel yourself as Fatima appears, her eyes widening in shock and guilt at the sight of you. Beside you, Eddie tenses, radiating barely contained anger."

Fatima: "A-Akira... you're home..."

"She trails off helplessly, clutching the doorway for support. You take in her appearance, searching for signs of the woman you loved. But all you see is a stranger wearing her face."

"Eddie nods understandingly, his grip on your shoulder tightening in a gesture of support."

Eddie: "Yeah, she's still there. I'll drive you over."

"The short ride passes in tense silence. You stare unseeingly out the window, your mind reeling from Eddie's devastating revelation. Too many questions swirl in your head - how long has this been going on? Why did Fatima lie all this time? What will you say to her when you see her face to face?"

"All too soon, you arrive at the familiar house. Your home for so many happy years now feels like a stranger. Eddie walks you to the door, his solid presence bolstering your faltering courage."
