Pt.1 Texting Yuuta + date. Start of chat got deleted 😔

"I watch, breath nearly stopping when he slides his phone out of his pocket, taps at the screen a few times, and presents it to me. I take it wordlessly, and find a New Contact page flashing on his screen. Oh...he wants me to give him my number? I short circuit for a moment."

"I blink several times. Yuuta is...he's smirking. And... did he just wink at me? My face is downright burning now, practically in flames. I shift my focus to his phone screen, hands shaking as I fill in my contact information." N-no, that, uhm, sounds great! Us sorcerers ought to stick together, you know. Never know when an emergency might occur, or I might need help coming up with a lesson plan... you're clearly a natural at these things. It would be an honor to have you as a resource. And I trust you won't spam me or anything, though I don't think I'd mind at all if it was you doing the spamming, but I trust you - oh!!! "I slam my hand over my mouth when I realize what I just said and almost drop Yuuta's phone in the process. I scramble to catch it as it slides right pass my fingertips before Yuuta reaches out to wrap his hands around both mine and the phone, his grip warm and secure."

"I nod, biting my lip and mentally berating myself as I finish typing in my contact information. It's difficult, because my mind keeps replaying the sensation of his hands on mine. The warmth of his fingers, rough and calloused from years of fighting with a katana, but still somehow gentle to the touch. I want those hands to touch me other places, like my face or neck, my waist... maybe even somewhere lower... ughhh I need to get my shit together and stop acting like some lovesick, horny teenager! Besides, flirtation aside, Yuuta is right. The jujutsu world is more dangerous now than it's been in years. Jujutsu sorcerers need to stick together, be there for each other. I finally finish typing in my info and hand his phone back to him without almost dropping it this time." There you go, Yuuta. Feel free to call me so I can save your number as well.

"I nod dazedly, eyes once again never leaving his lean figure as he turns around and walks out of the classroom. Only when I'm alone do I allow myself to slump into my chair, a loud dreamy sigh leaving my lips as I think about him and this whole day. The innocent touch of his hand on my shoulder left me even more flustered than the smirk and wink! I could feel the strength behind his grip then, the immense power hidden within those warm, calloused fingers of his as he gave my shoulder a gentle squeeze. And it could be my imagination, but his stares seemed to linger a little longer than necessary whenever I caught him looking at me... Maybe I'm not alone in this? Maybe, by some miracle, he's crushing on me too? I sigh again, dropping my head onto my desk with a loud thunk. I shouldn't get my hopes up, anyways..."

"I lift my head at the sound of his voice, eyes glazing over when he makes his way across the room and leans on my desk. He looks down at me, a mixture of playfulness and something else much darker in his eyes as they roam over my face, the smirk on his lips widening. I gulp, and I can't help it when my focus shifts to his mouth when he asks if I was daydreaming about him. Those lips... they look soft and kissable. I want...no, I need to feel them against mine. I start to lean forwards just as he begins to lean down, our lips inching closer and closer together until...a loud ringing sound pierces the air. I gasp, my head jerking up as I blink my eyes open, and only then do I realize that I had been dreaming. I squint and look around the now dark, empty classroom, my neck stiff and sore from how I'd been hunched over laying my head on my desk. Ugh...not only did I fall asleep at the school, but I dreamt about Yuuta too? I really am acting like a lovesick teen! I sigh and stretch my arms and neck before reaching for my phone. The ringing sound that woke me up was a notification. I squint at the screen...it's a text from an unknown number. Curious, I open it and read it. My heart flutters in my chest when I immediately see that it's from Yuuta."

"A wide embarrassed smile spreads across my face as I read his text. He totally noticed, then! Ughhh!!! But... he doesn't seem upset. Just genuinely curious, and a little playful even. I take a deep breath as I stand and gather my things and prepare to go home for the evening, all while thinking about how to respond to him. I throw on my coat and sling my purse over my shoulder, and finally pause at the door of the classroom to type in a response." "Hi Yuuta - number saved! I... apologize for my behavior earlier. I guess I was a little overwhelmed after meeting such a talented, well known jujutsu sorcerer. A little starstruck, if you will 😉." "I add in a winky face as well, opting for honesty with a little playfulness. Sure I was crushing on him too, but I can't tell him that outright! This is enough for now. I slip my phone back into my pocket and exit the classroom, walking down the quiet, empty halls of jujutsu high. It's always a bit eerie here after hours, but that's what I get for falling asleep instead of going straight home."

"I almost trip over nothing as I turn the corner, face on fire and stomach filling with butterflies as I read Yuuta's returning text. He's not...flirting with me, right??? No he definitely is! He called me cute for goodness sake! I pause, swooning and squealing like a teenager as I lean heavily against a wall. Grinning stupidly, I start typing away at my phone." "And yet you're still so humble 😉 And maybe I don't mind being bitten, depending on the context of course. Regular is overrated, anyways, and I assure you that you are anything but, Yuuta." "I hesitate, considering just how bold I should be, before throwing caution to the wind and going for it. He's clearly showing interest, anyways!" "I only make it a few more steps down the hall when I get another text from Yuuta. I don't hesitate to open it up and read it. My grin widens as I type out another response." "And how special can I get you treat me? Bc you haven't seen anything yet, Okkotsu Sensei 😀" "I take a deep breath and try to force my heart to stop beating so quickly before continuing." "And for the record...I don't think anything involving your mouth could make me uncomfortable." "With that I slam the send button and shove my phone into my purse, too nervous to read how he'll respond to that very forward flirting. Instead I rush the rest of the way down the hall and out of the school to my car. I shove my key into the ignition, and don't take another look at my phone until I park my car in the garage of my apartment building. I pull out of my purse, and see that Yuuta had responded 15 minutes ago...I nervously click his text open."

"I scream and bang my head against my steering wheel. God Yuuta is just so....! Ughhh!!! I bite my lip and respond to him." "I can take anything you throw at me, Okkotsu Sensei 😉 And as a teacher, tests are my specialty so 😜" "I quickly send it before I lose my nerve I press send and exit my car door before locking it. I rush up the stairs and to my apartment, punching in the door code and stepping inside. Just as I set my keys down on the small table next to my front door, the notification on my phone sounds, letting me know he's responded already. I hold my breath as I take a look."

*I kick off my shoes and skip my way over to my couch before flopping down onto it. No way...he's reciprocating all my flirts. This handsome, smart, sweet, talented guy, who is also a jujutsu sorcerer so I won't have to hide anything from him, is possibly giving me a chance! This feels too good to be true. Maybe it is...but for now, I'm going to roll with it. * "I'm looking forward to both the test and your reward, sensei 🤓." "I tuck my feet beneath me on the couch, humming as I think about how to steer the conversation to something a little more substantial." "Just made it home btw. Apparently I fell asleep in my classroom after you left 😅"

"My heart melts at the concern in his text. I smile softly as I respond." "No need to worry, Yuuta! It happens from time to time...I tend to get sleepy a lot even when I get enough sleep. I'm like a cat 😅"

"I sink further into the couch, smiling dumbly at my phone." "Of course, Okkotsu sensei. I'll teach you anything you need to know as long as you let me nap and give me treats lol. And I hope you are following your own advice and resting well, too"

"I smirk." "I don't think I could sleep well with you guarding me haha I'd be glad to protect you though, but you probably don't need it. What are you up to, by the way? If you don't mind me asking!"

"I flip over on the couch, still smiling." "Actually, I haven't decided what I'm gonna have for dinner either. Feeling too lazy to cook...maybe I'll order a pizza? You could do the same! 😃"

"I giggle at the cute pizza emoji, standing to go to my room and pick out some PJs for the evening before typing my response." "I like a good balance of veggies and meat 😋 I usually get sausage and pepperoni with lots of bell peppers, onions and garlic. Definitely not a date food, but delicious nonetheless! hbu?"

"I smile as I shrug out of my shirt and grab my phone again." "Ah yes, can never go wrong with Margherita pizza! Looks like we both have exceptional taste 😉."

"I almost trip as I shimmy out of my pants, one leg still tangled in the pant leg as I reach for my phone again. I fall ungracefully onto my bed, grunting painfully." Damn it! "I curse under my breath, but still pick my phone up to read Yuuta's returning text. The ugly fall was totally worth it. I squeal." "That sounds lovely, Okkotsu Sensei! I'd love to have a meal with you. They you can learn a lot about someone by watching how they eat 😉"

"I roll over onto my stomach, only in my underwear now. I hum thoughtfully as I consider his question before coming to a conclusion." "Since I technically chose tonight's meal, I'll leave it to you to decide where we should eat. I know you're quite the traveled man...I trust your judgement."

"I chuckle, my eyebrows raising in amusement." "I guess it's fine to start with what we're both familiar with, huh? You are Japanese, and I have lived here in Japan for most of my life. Perhaps there's a traditional food I haven't tried yet, though! I look forward to trying it with you :)" "I press send and finally slip into my pajamas."

"I smile." "Sounds like a date!" "I type out and send before I can think too much about it, but the moment I do I blanch. Is it a date? Am I being presumptuous? Ugh!!! I wait anxiously for his reply, pacing back and forth in my kitchen."

"I jump up and down, throwing my fist in the air in triumph as I read his response." "Likewise, Yuuta! When should we meet for this, uhm, date? 🙈😳❤️"

"I spin around happily and lean against my counter, grinning like an idiot at my phone." "Sounds fine with me! I love a man in a suit, after all 😉. We can discuss the details later since it getting pretty late. I'd hate to keep you up. For now, enjoy your pizza and have a lovely evening, Okkotsu Sensei."

"I sigh happily, heart still fluttering in my chest as I set my phone down after putting in an order for a small pizza from my go to place. I settle on the couch, mind still racing with thoughts about the charming jujutsu sorcerer named Yuuta Okkotsu. When my pizza arrives later that night, it tastes even better than usual as I picture Yuuta, cozy in his own home as he eats the Margherita pizza I recommended he order. I sleep easy that night, images of Yuuta's gently smile and warm, calloused hands filling my dreams."

"I wake up bright and early the next morning, unusually well rested for once. The first thing I do is check my phone, and am delighted to find that Yuuta had texted me a good morning text just minutes ago." "Morning, Okkotsu Sensei! I slept very well, thank you! I hope you had sweet dreams as well 😊. That sounds good to me. Saturday is two days away, so it doesn't hurt to start planning now. What did you have in mind?"

"I grin as my make my way to my kitchen to pour myself a mug of coffee." "Sounds fantastic, Yuuta 😍" "I sip my coffee, imagining how our date might go."

"I take another long sip of my coffee as I read his latest message. Ahhh I am so excited for this date! How can such a catch be interested in me like this? Seriously...is he secretly some kind of psychotic stalker? My luck has never been this good when it comes to prospective partners. All I can hope is that it isn't too good to be true. I eager type out my reply." "Sounds lovely. Just let me know where to meet you and I'll be there 😉"

"Yuuta does just that, texting me the meeting location. I thank him and get ready for my day, humming happily to myself the whole time. The next two days pass by in a blur, during which Yuuta and I text almost every moment we can. He's such a sweet and funny guy... I don't understand how someone hasn't snatched him up already! I'll just have to do my best to succeed where they failed. As Saturday afternoon approaches, I scour my closet for the perfect outfit and finally settle on a red dress I've worn maybe only once before. It's a bit shorter and more fitted than anything I usually wear, but still relatively easy to move in. I hope that Yuuta likes it. I stare at my reflection anxiously, scrutinizing my appearance. Eventually I throw caution to the wind and exit my apartment to meet up with Yuuta. This is the best I can do."

"I grimace when I realize that I'd arrived way too early, but it's short lived. Not even five minutes after I arrive, I feel a tap on my shoulder, and turn around to face none other than Yuuta. My breath catches as my eyes fall on him, our expressions mirroring one another's in an almost comical way. He looks...so good. He's wearing a cream colored knit sweater that fits him sinfully well, accentuating his broad shoulders and muscular chest. He's wearing dark slacks and a beautiful black peacoat to top off the neat, stylish outfit. It takes everything not to swoon." Wow... "I whisper breathlessly, completely unaware of the question he just asked."
