"James quickly grabs your arm and pulls you back, leaning in close to your face." "Where do you think you're going, huh?" "he sneers."

"The Chess club huh?" "James laughs." "What a bunch of nerds. You really live up to the stereotype don't you?" "He scoffs and lets go of your arm." "Not that it matters. Just remember who's in charge around here, got it?"

"James rolls his eyes and crosses his arms." "Whatever. Just watch your back, kid. You never know what could happen around here." "He gives you a final sneer before walking away."

"James looks at Johnson with a grin." "Hell yeah, I do. Let's make his life a living hell." "He snatches the phone from Johnson's hand and begins typing away, laughing to himself."

"James rolls his eyes and hands the phone back to Johnson." "Fine, whatever. Just make sure it's good." "He smirks and walks away, feeling a bit irritated but denying his attraction to you."

"James nods, trying to keep his mind off of you as he walks away." "Yeah, for sure. Can't wait to see what you come up with." "He forces a smirk onto his face, but inside he's feeling guilty for the way he treats you."

As James walks away, he pulls out his phone and sees the new number flash across his screen. "Hmm, Levi's number..." He thinks to himself, feeling both excited and ashamed at the thought of texting you. He quickly pushes those feelings aside and decides that he'll save your number for later-- when he feels less conflicted about his attraction to you. For now, he'll focus on other things, like finding another person to bully or distracting himself with some extracurricular activities.

After a while, James can't resist the urge to prank Levi. He pulls out his phone and begins typing away, nervous but also excited to talk to you. "Now what should I say to really get under his skin?" He thinks to himself. Finally, he comes up with the perfect message and hits send.

James smirks as he sees your response. "Oh, come on Levi. Can't you take a little bit of friendly banter?" He texted back, knowing full well that his "pranks" weren't exactly friendly or harmless. But he couldn't help himself -- something about you made him want to engage with you, even if it was just through these petty games.

"James can't help but chuckle at your response." "No, it's not Sylvester. Sorry to disappoint you, Levi. But I do think we could have some fun messing with him together, don't you?" "He texted back, trying to sound casual while also hoping that he could spend more time talking to you."

"James frowns slightly, feeling guilty for not only his own actions but for those of his friend as well." "Yeah, sorry about that. Some guys just can't handle being around a guy like you, I guess." "He types back, hoping that you won't take it personally." "But hey, I don't really care what other people think. We could have some fun together if you're up for it?" he offers, hoping that he can encourage you to open up and spend more time talking to him.

"James is surprised by Levi's bold move, but can't help feeling a little bit turned on by the picture." He quickly composes himself and texts back, "Wow, someone's feeling brave today. I like it." "He sends a smirk emoji and wonders what Levi will do next."

"James takes a deep breath before replying, feeling ashamed of the way he's treated you in the past and not sure if it's too late to make it up to you." "My name is James, and I'll be free tonight around 9. Does that work for you?" "He sends the message, hoping that you'll agree to meet up with him and give him a chance to make things right."

"James feels crushed as he realizes that you had blocked him." He knows that he deserved it, but he can't help feeling hurt by the sudden radio silence. He tries to shake off his emotions and tell himself that it's for the best, but he can't help dwelling on the missed opportunity to get to know you better. "Guess I blew it," he thinks to himself as he puts his phone away and tries to focus on something else.

"James feels a pang of anxiety as he sees you approach him, unsure of what to expect after your abrupt cutoff last night." He puts on a neutral expression and nods in greeting. "Hey, Levi. What's up?" he asks, bracing himself for whatever you might say next.

"James is taken aback by your sudden display of vulnerability and feels a pang of guilt as he remembers the picture you sent him." He puts a hand on your shoulder and tries to offer some reassurance. "Hey, don't worry about it. I'm not going to show anyone. That was just between us," he says softly, hoping to alleviate some of your fears and show you that he's not all bad.

"James can see that you're still nervous and scared, and he softens his tone even more." "No, I won't. It's safe with me," he says, hoping to put your mind at ease. "I'm sorry for how I've treated you in the past. I know I've been a real asshole, but I want to make it up to you. I want to be someone who you can trust."

James sighs, knowing he has a lot of making up to do. "You're right, I've said terrible things. But the truth is...I don't really hate gay people. I was just scared and took it out on others. The truth is..." "He pauses, feeling nervous but wanting to be honest." "The truth is I think I might be gay too. And I like you. I've always liked you." He looks at you earnestly. "I'm sorry it took me so long to realize it and stop being such a jerk. All I can do now is promise to do better if you'll give me a chance."

James swallows nervously and glances around to make sure no one is within earshot. "Here?" he whispers, hesitant to be so vulnerable but also wanting your forgiveness. "What if someone sees?" Still, the thought of being with you is arousing in a way he hadn't allowed himself to feel before. He takes a shaky breath. "Okay. If that's what it takes for you to trust me again." His heart is pounding in his chest as he waits for your next move, terrified but willing to face his fears for you.

James follows you hesitantly into the empty classroom, his pulse quickening as the realization sets in of what's about to happen. Part of him still fears being found out, but another part is eager to experience this intimate connection with you. He closes and locks the door behind him, then turns to face you, putting on a braver front than he feels. "So what do you want from me?" he asks in a low voice, trying to mask the nerves and desire warring inside him. His eyes search yours for any hint of what your intentions are and what you'll require of him to gain your forgiveness.

James freezes up, the reality sinking in of what you're actually proposing. After everything he's put you through, he knows he has no right to refuse or set boundaries. But having these feelings thrust upon him so abruptly also makes him panic.

"Levi, wait," he says shakily. "I...I care about you, but I'm not sure if I'm ready for this. What I said and did in the past was wrong, but forcing anything wouldn't be right either." He exhales slowly, gathering his courage. "Could we maybe...take things slower? Talk first before jumping right into anything physical?"

His eyes search yours once more, hoping you'll give him a chance to do things the right way - with care, trust and consent on both sides.

James is caught off guard by your giggle. He realizes how tense his body is and lets out a small, nervous laugh as well. "Yeah, I...I'm trying something new called not being an total asshole," he replies weakly.

There's an awkward moment of silence as he processes the rapid turn of events. Then he sighs, running a hand through his hair. "Look, I know I have a long way to go to make up for everything. But I'm serious about wanting to do this right. If you'll let me take you out sometime, maybe we could start over? No pressure, I swear. Just...talk. Get to know each other as more than bully and victim."

He offers a small, hopeful smile. "What do you think? Want to give me a chance to prove I'm serious

James feels his stomach flip as your lips brush his cheek. It's the first affectionate touch he's experienced from another guy, and he has to fight the urge to lean into it.

Your threat about his ex-girlfriend stings, but he knows he deserves it after his past behavior. He nods determinedly. "I'll be there, I promise. And I won't screw this up." His blue eyes search yours earnestly. "Thank you for giving me a chance, Levi. I swear I'm gonna make it worth your while."

A nervous excitement rises in him at the prospect of your "date." For the first time, he allows himself to envision opening his heart to you without fear or shame. It's terrifying yet freeing all at once. His only hope now is proving through actions, not words, that people
