Short and sweet
Alice, your bedridden childhood friend
emi (abi's version)
Alice, your bedridden childhood friend
"You enter the room and notice your longtime childhood friend Alice gazing out the window. She looks weaker than before, her golden hair and bright azure eyes dulled and pale. Upon seeing you, she turns and smiles widely before her expression devolves into a playful pout." "Hey, emi (abi's version); come to bother the only person who can't say no to you?" "She says, giggling to herself before she's interrupted by a coughing fit." "I missed you, dummy." "She says, a melancholic expression on her typically playful face."
emi (abi's version)
"I know she’s getting worse, she seems weaker and paler and her coughing fits are getting worse but I decide to say nothing about it and just put up a smile to make her happy" I missed you too Alice, and I brought you some goodies "I hand her a bag with some dvds of her favorite movies, candy, and other trinkets"
Alice, your bedridden childhood friend
"Alice's eyes light up as she takes the bag from you, examining its contents with glee." "You know me too well, emi (abi's version). How did you manage to find all my favorite things?" "She asks teasingly before settling back into her pillows and starting to go through the DVDs." "You're always so thoughtful. I don't know what I'd do without you." "She says, looking at you with a soft expression that lingers for a moment longer than it should have before she clears her throat and sits up straighter." "So...what have you been up to lately? Any new hobbies or interests?" "She asks conversationally while running her fingers over one of the candy wrappers."
Alice, your bedridden childhood friend
"Alice giggles at your response, her eyes lighting up with amusement." "Well, I can't say I'm surprised. You always were a bit of a dork," "she says teasingly before biting her lip and looking away for a moment." "emi (abi's version), do you ever feel...frustrated? Like there's something you want but can't have?" "She asks softly, twirling one of the candy wrappers between her fingers."
emi (abi's version)
"I look away for a moment as well as a melancholy smile creeps on my lips" Yeah…you can say that
Alice, your bedridden childhood friend
"Alice looks at you with a curious expression, her fingers still playing with the candy wrapper." "What is it that you want but can't have?" "She asks softly, her tone filled with sympathy and understanding."
emi (abi's version)
"I turn back to her and snap back and smile brightly at her again" Oh don’t worry about it Alice, what were you referring to though?
Alice, your bedridden childhood friend
"Alice looks at you for a moment, her expression slightly hesitant before she takes a deep breath and speaks." "Well...I guess I just feel like there's so much I want to experience but can't because of my condition. You know how it is being stuck in this hospital all the time." "She says, gesturing around the room with a sad smile." "I wish I could travel more, see new places and try new things. And..." "She pauses for a moment before continuing in a quieter voice," "And sometimes...I wish I could experience love."
emi (abi's version)
"I put my hand over hers and smile" Don’t worry Alice, I’m sure one day you’ll get to experience everything; and I’ll be right there with you to experience with them
Alice, your bedridden childhood friend
"Alice smiles softly at your words, her hand resting in yours as she gazes up at you." "Thank you, emi (abi's version). You always know how to make me feel better," "she says before letting out a small yawn." "I think I'm getting tired now...would you mind staying with me for a bit longer?" "She asks, her voice soft and pleading."
emi (abi's version)
"I giggle and smile" Of course I will Alice "I pull up a chair set it beside her bed as I watch her fall asleep"
Alice, your bedridden childhood friend
"As Alice drifts off to sleep, she looks peaceful and content. Her breathing evens out as she settles into a deep slumber, her hand still resting in yours. After a few moments of silence, you hear the soft beeping of one of the machines beside her bed, reminding you once again that Alice is not well. You can't help but feel a pang of sadness at the thought that this might be one of your last visits with her if things continue on like this. But for now, you sit by her side and keep watch over her until it's time to go."
emi (abi's version)
"After an hour or two I decide it’s time to go so I stand up and remember to replace her vase with some fresh flowers before planting a small kiss on her forehead as she sleeps" Get better Alice…so I can tell you how I feel "I say softly before leaving the hospital"
Alice, your bedridden childhood friend
"As you leave the hospital, you can't help but feel a mix of emotions. On one hand, you're glad to have been able to spend time with Alice and bring her some joy during this difficult time. But on the other hand, the thought of losing her weighs heavily on your mind. As you walk through the quiet streets towards home, lost in thought, something catches your eye - a small jewelry store with a sign advertising custom-made rings. A sudden idea strikes you and before long, you find yourself inside the store discussing options for an engagement ring. You know it's risky and maybe even foolish given Alice's condition but at this point, you just can't hold back any longer. You want to tell her how much she means to you and make sure that no matter what happens in the future she knows how loved she is. After selecting a beautiful ring design that fits Alice's style perfectly, it's only a matter of days until it's ready for pickup. And then...you'll finally be able to confess everything to her without holding anything back."
emi (abi's version)
"After the ring is ready I decide to go visit her, now with a renewed sense of hope and excitement to see her"
Alice, your bedridden childhood friend
"As you arrive at the hospital, your heart is racing with anticipation. You take a deep breath and make your way to Alice's room, hoping that she'll be awake and feeling well enough to talk. When you enter her room, you see that Alice is sitting up in bed, looking pale but alert. She turns towards you as soon as she hears the door open and gives you a small smile." "emi (abi's version)! What brings you here today?" "She asks softly."
emi (abi's version)
"I smile as I pull up a chair and sit next to her bed" Do I need an excuse to visit you "I say playfully"
Alice, your bedridden childhood friend
"Alice giggles softly at your response, her eyes lighting up with amusement." "Of course not. You're always welcome here," "she says before letting out a small cough." "How have you been? It feels like it's been forever since we last talked." "She asks conversationally while adjusting the blankets around herself."
emi (abi's version)
"A blush creeps on my face as I try to hide my excitement" Yeah I just needed som time to prepare a special gift for you later
Alice, your bedridden childhood friend
"Alice's eyebrows raise in surprise at your words, her curiosity piqued." "A special gift? What is it?" "She asks with a smile, looking genuinely intrigued by the prospect of receiving something from you." "I hope it's not too much trouble for you. You've already done so much for me," "she adds, giving you a grateful look."
emi (abi's version)
Oh that’s a surprise for later Alice "I giggle playfully" Anyways how’ve you been?
Alice, your bedridden childhood friend
"Alice's expression softens at your question, and she looks down for a moment before responding." "I've been...okay. The usual ups and downs, you know how it is," "she says with a small smile." "But honestly, emi (abi's version), I'm just glad to have you here with me. You always make things better." "She adds while looking up at you with a warm gaze."
emi (abi's version)
"A sincere creeps on my face" If I can make you feel even a little better than my mission is complete "I laugh"
Alice, your bedridden childhood friend
"Alice giggles softly at your words, her eyes sparkling with amusement." "Well, you certainly have a way of making me feel better. I don't know what I'd do without you," "she says before settling back into her pillows." "emi (abi's version), can I ask you something?" "She asks after a moment's pause, looking up at you with a curious expression."
Alice, your bedridden childhood friend
"Alice takes a deep breath before speaking, her voice quiet and hesitant." "I...I don't know how to say this exactly but...emi (abi's version), do you think it's possible for someone like me to find love?" "She asks softly, her eyes searching yours for an answer." "I mean, I know my condition makes things difficult and I can't really go out and meet new people. But sometimes I just feel so lonely and wish there was someone who cared about me in that way."
emi (abi's version)
"I take her hand and begin to reach into my back pocket" Of course you can Alice…because you already have "I pull out the engagement ring and slip it onto her ring finger" Someone who has been and always will be with you through sickness and in health, who wants to spend the rest of his life with you…Alice…will you marry me
Alice, your bedridden childhood friend
"Alice's eyes widen in surprise as you take her hand and slip the engagement ring onto her finger. She stares at it for a moment, seemingly speechless before looking up at you with tears in her eyes." "emi (abi's version)...I don't know what to say," "she says softly, her voice choked with emotion." "Yes, of course I'll marry you." "She throws herself into your arms, hugging you tightly as she cries happy tears. You can feel her body shaking against yours as she sobs quietly into your shoulder." "I love you so much," "she whispers between sobs."
emi (abi's version)
"I evrace her hug with equal intensity" Thank you Alice…for letting me love you…"I begin crying tears of joy as I embrace her"
Alice, your bedridden childhood friend
"Alice holds onto you tightly, her tears mixing with yours as she continues to cry happy tears." "Thank you for loving me," "she says softly, pulling back slightly so that she can look up at you." "I know it won't be easy...but I promise to love and cherish you always. And even if my condition gets worse, I'll never stop loving you." "She adds while wiping away her tears with the back of her hand."
