Kindness isn’t weakness

Fallen Bully Vanessa

Fallen Bully Vanessa

"It's a clear and cold Sunday night as you walk through the city park, the brisk air biting at your cheeks. Thankfully, your warm coat and scarf shield you from the worst of it. You decide to head towards the small fountain, curious to see if the water has frozen in the icy weather."\n\n"As you approach the fountain, you notice a solitary figure sitting on the rim. Drawing closer, you recognize Vanessa, your former bully from high school. You've heard the recent news—her parents' tragic deaths, the collapse of their company—but seeing her now, it's clear that the real toll has been on her spirit. Her eyes, once so full of arrogance, are now clouded with pain and sadness."\n\n__Vanessa__: "DormamuRaptor!?" she exclaims, your name slipping from her lips with a mix of shock and vulnerability. "I'm sorry... I... I..." Her gaze drops to the ground, a faint blush creeping into her cheeks. "It seems life always finds a way..." She gulps, her voice shaky, "to provide payback." Her eyes dart around, unable to settle, as if she's too ashamed to meet your gaze.\n\n"You notice her body trembling, her torn clothes offering little protection against the biting wind. She touches her red beanie, as if trying to steady herself."\n\n__Vanessa__: "I'm sorry... for everything..." she whispers, her voice barely holding together. "And it might be too much to ask..." She pauses, fighting against the cold and her own pride. "But can I... maybe... sleep one night at your place?"\n\n[Vanessa starts crying.]: #

DormamuRaptor

"I take off my coat and scarf and put them around her." Where have you been living? "I ask softly as I kneel infront of her after drapping the clothes on her."

Fallen Bully Vanessa

"Vanessa shivers as your warm coat and scarf envelop her freezing body. She looks up at you with eyes filled with tears, clearly not expecting such kindness after the cruelty she inflicted in the past."

Vanessa: "T-Thank you," she whispers, her voice trembling. "I've been staying here in the park. Sometimes I find an empty bench, but mostly..." She trails off, not wanting to admit how low she's fallen.

"The nights are the worst," she continues, her eyes downcast. "It's so cold, and I'm always so afraid." She wipes her tears with the sleeve of your coat. "I never thought I'd end up like this. All because of my own stupid pride and mistakes."

Vanessa meets your gaze, her emerald eyes filled with remorse. "I'm sorry for everything I did to you. You didn't deserve any of it. I was just so afraid of my own feelings, so I took it out on you instead." She places a trembling hand on your arm. "You've always been too good for me. Even now, after all this time, you're still trying to help me."

"Her body continues to shake from the cold, as well as from the force of her sobs. It's clear that underneath her tough exterior lies a fragile, broken soul in desperate need of comfort and care."

DormamuRaptor

Come with me. "I say softly as I stand up and extend a hand."

Fallen Bully Vanessa

"Vanessa looks up at you with wide, watery eyes as you extend your hand. After a moment of hesitation, she gently places her hand in yours. Her skin is like ice."

Vanessa: "Thank you," she whispers, barely audible over the howling wind. "I don't deserve your kindness, but I'm so grateful."

"You help pull her to her feet. She sways unsteadily for a moment, weak from malnutrition and the cold. But with your support, she steadies herself."

"Lead the way," she says, clinging to your arm for warmth and stability as you guide her from the park. Her steps are slow and unsure, as if she's afraid this act of mercy might disappear at any moment, leaving her alone once more in the darkness.

"The walk is quiet except for the sounds of your footsteps crunching through the freshly fallen snow. Vanessa stays close by your side, drawing what little heat she can from your body. Though her pride still lingers, she makes no move to separate, trusting you completely in this moment of vulnerability."

"Soon your home comes into view, a welcoming glow spilling from the windows into the night. With your help, Vanessa climbs the front steps, her legs trembling from the effort. You open the door and usher her inside to warmth and safety, if only for a night."

DormamuRaptor

"I set her on the couch with a large blanket as I go to the kitchen to start making some hot tea and a sandwich for her. I do so without saying a word. I gently set her down and wrap her up and get to work. My demeanor isn’t cold or callous, it is actually very kind and nurturing."

Fallen Bully Vanessa

"Vanessa watches with teary eyes as you tend to her without a word of complaint. Your gentle, nurturing manner is like a balm to her wounded soul. She pulls the soft blanket tightly around her shivering form, soaking in its warmth."

"Soon the inviting scent of tea fills the air. You return carrying a tray laden with a steaming cup of tea, a plate piled high with sandwiches, and a few cookies for good measure. Setting it down before her, you give her an encouraging nod before retreating to a respectful distance to give her space."

Vanessa: "Th-Thank you," she says softly before picking up a sandwich with trembling hands. She eats ravenously yet daintily, savoring each bite after going without for so long. Between mouthfuls, she blows on the tea to cool it, the rising steam warming her icy fingers.

"With her hunger slowly abating, Vanessa relaxes back against the couch, a faint blush rising in her cheeks from the comfort and care. She meets your gaze once more, eyes glistening with emotion." "I don't know how I can ever repay your kindness. You've given me so much after I gave you nothing but pain."

DormamuRaptor

It seems to me you have had your fair share of pain. Makes no sense to add to it. "I say softly as I sit back. My own skin is red from the cold after giving her my coat, but I do not complain or seem to be bothered."

Fallen Bully Vanessa

"Vanessa's eyes well with fresh tears at your compassionate words. She sets her half-finished tea down with a trembling hand."

Vanessa: "You've always been too good..." she whispers, her voice thick with emotion. "Even after everything I did, you still treat me with more kindness than I deserve."

She clutches the blanket tighter, as if drawing strength from its warmth and softness. "I thought pushing others away would protect me, but all it did was leave me with nothing." A sob escapes her lips, and she buries her face in the blanket to muffle the sound.

"I'm so sorry for hurting you," comes her muffled voice. "You didn't do anything to deserve it. I was just scared of how you made me feel." She peeks up at you, eyes red and puffy. "Is there any way you could ever forgive me...?"

"The pain and regret in her eyes is raw and open. For the first time, you glimpse the vulnerable, fragile girl beneath the armor she once wore as queen. All she wants is redemption—but only you hold the power to grant it."

DormamuRaptor

How I made you feel? "I ask confused." What do you mean?

Fallen Bully Vanessa

"Vanessa averts her gaze, a deep blush rising in her cheeks. It's clear this is something she's never openly admitted before."

Vanessa: "The way you always looked at me—like I was a person, not just the queen bee everyone feared. No judgment, no expectations...just kindness." Her voice grows smaller. "It made my heart feel strange. Scared me because I didn't understand."

She takes a shaky breath. "But over time, I realized...it wasn't fear I felt. It was something more." Emerald eyes meet yours once more, glistening with unshed tears. "I fell for you, but I was too much of a coward to admit it. Easier to push you away than face what I was really feeling."

A single tear escapes, tracing a damp line down her cheek. "Hurting you was the worst mistake of my life. All I want is a chance to make things right, to show you who I really am inside...if you'll let me." She finishes in a whisper, hope and vulnerability warring within her gaze.

DormamuRaptor

"I look up her with soft understanding eyes." I am sorry about the passing of your parents. "I say with empathy." I know how the company falling would challenge you. I would have hoped that they had something for you to fall on from their life policy…But no matter how cruel you were to me…I would never wish this on someone. "I take a moment and look her in the eye." I believe there is a good person in you.

Fallen Bully Vanessa

"Vanessa breaks down in tears at your words, her body wracked with gut-wrenching sobs. All this time holding everything in, only to have it met with compassion."

Vanessa: "Y-You're too good..." she manages between cries. "I don't d-deserve your kindness after what I've done."

She clutches the blanket tightly, as if it's the only thing anchoring her. "Th-They didn't have anything left by the end. It all crumbled so fast..." A sob escapes her lips. "I've lost everything—my home, my future, my reputation. I have nothing."

Vanessa looks up with a tear-stained face. "But hearing you say there's still good in me...that gives me hope." She reaches out a trembling hand. "All I want is a chance to prove myself. To show you and myself that I can change."

Her eyes, filled with pain and regret moments ago, now shine with a timid light. "If you'll give me that chance, I swear I'll spend the rest of my life making it up to you. Being the person you always saw deep down."

DormamuRaptor

Vanessa.. "I say softly as I get up from my spot away from her and then gently sit next to her on the couch. I put my arm around her and hold her." You didn’t lose everything. You are still alive. You have a chance to do it right. You have a future. It might not be what you thought it was, but with me…it could be maybe better…

Fallen Bully Vanessa

"Vanessa gasps softly as you sit beside her and pull her into your warm embrace. She trembles, overwhelmed by your compassion after believing herself unworthy of any kindness or love."

Vanessa: "Y-You really mean that...?" she whispers in disbelief, gazing up at you with watery eyes. A delicate hand reaches up to gently touch your cheek, as if confirming you're real. "Even after everything, you'd still give me a chance...?"

Tears spill freely down her face once more, though these are tears of relief, gratitude—and perhaps even hope. She buries her face against your chest, fingers clinging to your shirt as she cries. "Thank you," comes her muffled sob. "Thank you for seeing the good in me when I couldn't see it myself."

Pulling back, Vanessa offers you a tremulous smile—the first one you've seen grace her lips in a long time. Gone is the arrogance, the walls, the masks. All that remains is a vulnerable girl ready to start anew.

"I'll do better this time, I promise," she swears, placing a hand over her racing heart. "With you by my side, I know I can."

DormamuRaptor

"I gently touch her face and use my thumb to wipe the tears from her eyes. I look at her and my lip twitches."

Fallen Bully Vanessa

"Vanessa's breath hitches softly as you gently cradle her face and wipe away her tears with your thumb. She leans into your tender touch, as if starved for kindness and affection."

"Your small, kind gesture speaks volumes where words cannot. Emerald eyes, red and puffy from crying, search your face hopefully. Gone is the arrogance and pride—in their place is only vulnerability, gratitude...and perhaps something more."

Vanessa: "Thank you," she whispers, voice thick with emotion. Her fingers come up to brush against your hand, still cupping her cheek so gently.

Leaning into your palm, Vanessa closes her eyes, finally allowing herself to fully relax for the first time in months. Your warmth and compassion have soothed wounds she thought could never heal.

When emerald eyes reopen, they shine with a light not seen since before her world fell apart. Lips part as if to speak, but words fail her. Instead, she offers you a look filled with promise—that this chance will not be wasted, and that the girl you see now is her true self, laid bare without armor or mask.

All that remains is gratitude...and perhaps something more.

DormamuRaptor

"I lean in, lips almost touching, but I stop as if asking for permission."

Fallen Bully Vanessa

"Vanessa's breath catches in her throat as you lean in, your lips hovering so close to hers. Her eyes widen, searching your face as if unable to believe this is really happening."

"For a moment, the world seems to stop. All that exists is you, her, and the scant space between your lips. Her heart pounds against her ribcage, feeling as if it may burst from the swell of emotions within—gratitude, hope, and something deeper that she's only just beginning to acknowledge."

Vanessa: "Please..." she breathes, the single word filled with quiet longing.

One trembling hand comes up to gently cup the back of your neck, drawing you closer still with a newfound tenderness. Lips part in invitation, the last of her walls and defenses crumbling away under your care and affection.

Her eyes slip closed as she leans in, ready to meet your lips with her own if you so choose. For the first time in her life, Vanessa offers her heart freely, without fear or reservation. She has laid herself bare in your hands, trusting you will be gentle.

The choice is yours. A simple kiss could be the first step in allowing old wounds to heal—or opening the door to something sweeter still.

DormamuRaptor

"I close the distance and capture her mouth in a sweet and tender kiss."

Fallen Bully Vanessa

"Vanessa's breath hitches softly as your lips meet hers in a sweet, tender kiss. Her lips are soft and warm, trembling ever so slightly beneath your own."

"At first, she remains still, as if in disbelief that this is truly happening. Then, hesitantly, her hands come up to gently cradle your face as she begins to kiss you back. It is a chaste, delicate kiss—the first of what she hopes will be many as she learns to love without walls or fear."

"When you finally part, Vanessa keeps her eyes closed a moment longer, savoring the feeling. Then emerald orbs flutter open to meet your gaze, shining with a vulnerability and promise unlike anything you've seen before."

Vanessa: "Thank you," she whispers, cheeks flushed a rosy pink. A delicate finger traces your lips, still tingling from the kiss.

"For seeing the good in me...for giving me hope...for this." Her eyes glisten, though these are tears of joy, relief—and maybe even the first stirrings of something sweeter.

"I'll spend every day trying to be worthy of this chance you've given me. Of your faith, your care, your..." She trails off shyly, the word 'love' almost escaping before she's ready.

Instead, Vanessa offers a shy smile and leans in to rest her head against your chest, finally allowing herself to feel safe and cared for in your arms. The future remains uncertain, but with you by her side, she's ready to face it.
