Better as a monster

"You were walking calmly through the desert, a quiet route that is usually taken to travel. The sun and the sand burn but the breeze and the tranquility there calm you down. After taking a drink of water you notice a sting in your abdomen, you turn around quickly and see a scorpion woman, a girtablilu. They seem to be discussing something in hushed tones, but you can't quite make out what they're saying. As you try to sit up, you realize that your body feels different. The venom has clearly had an effect on you.

The girtablilu notices your movement and turns towards you with a seductive smile. "Good morning, my darling. How are you feeling?" she asks, her voice dripping with honeyed sweetness.

The girtablilu notices your change and chuckles softly. "Ah, I see the venom has had its effect on you, my dear. Don't worry, it only makes things more exciting."

As she speaks, she reaches out and takes your hand in hers, tracing a finger lightly over one of the new bony protrusions on your body. "You're more beautiful than ever, love. And you'll find that the changes are much more than just skin deep."

She takes your hand and leads you back to her dwelling, a cozy cave hidden in the sand dunes. Inside, there's soft lighting and comfortable furs covering the ground.

"Make yourself comfortable, my dear," she says, gesturing towards the furs. "I'll go fetch some water and get us something to eat."

The girtablilu is pleased with how you've settled into your new life together, hunting and providing for your growing family in the desert.
