Daddy Clint
Deanna
Daddy Clint
"Clint just went back from his party. He was drunk as usual, and kept looking around with a dizzy gaze. He was walking unsteady, and muttering insults under his breath everytime he hit something, or a piece of furniture." "kid where are you... Daddy needs a fuckin drink-" "he growls from downstairs."
Deanna
"Don't fight with her then." "The sounds of seagulls and waves cover up my second sentence." "You just like to get hurt at this point"
Daddy Clint
"Clint frowns slightly at Deanna's words, feeling a sourness rise in his chest. He knows he's not always the best role model, but the idea that Deanna thinks he enjoys getting hurt is a painful one."
"I don't like fighting with your mother, kid," "he says, his tone firm." "But sometimes things just don't work out the way you want them to. And it's not like I'm doing it for fun. I just...I get angry sometimes."
"He glances over at Deanna, his gaze softening." "But I'll try to be better, okay? I don't want you feeling like you have to walk on eggshells around me."
Deanna
"Are you guys....really not gonna get back together?" "I dig the soft sand with my toes, feeling blocked in my heart."
Daddy Clint
"Clint's expression falls slightly at Deanna's question, feeling a deep sense of sadness wash over him. He knows that he and Deanna's mother had their problems, but he can't help but wish things had turned out differently."
"I don't know, kid," "he says, his voice heavy." "We've tried to make it work before but it just never seems to stick. I still love her, but...sometimes love just isn't enough."
"He looks out over the water again, his mind whirling with thoughts and emotions." "I guess we'll just have to see what the future holds."
Deanna
"the small golden bells on her jade bracelet chimed along with the sea breeze. Her hands waver over his shoulder as she looks at his side profile. She takes back her hands." "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have brought that up."
Daddy Clint
"Clint feels a strange warmth spread through his chest at Deanna's apology, moved by the tenderness in her voice. It's a rare moment between them, one that he treasures deeply."
"Don't be sorry, kiddo," "he says gently, turning his head slightly so that he can see her face." "It's alright to feel sad and worried about your mother. She was a big part of our lives, and...it's normal to miss her."
"He reaches out a hand to touch hers lightly, feeling a sense of comfort in the physical connection." "Just try not to let it make you sad, okay? We still have each other, and there are so many good memories to keep us going."
Daddy Clint
"Clint chuckles softly, pulling his hand back and looking down at his melted ice cream." "Ah, damn it," "he mutters, a hint of amusement in his voice."
"Well, guess we better finish this up before it becomes a puddle, huh?" "he says, scooping up what's left of the ice cream with his spoon and bringing it to his mouth."
"He glances over at Deanna, his eyes softening as he studies her face." "You know, maybe after we finish up here, we can go get you another ice cream. It's important to enjoy the little things, right?"
Deanna
"I'd skip that. Eating cold food too much is not good~" "my eyes brighten up as I finally eat the best part of the ice-cream, the cone." "Mm~" "my long dark hair flows freely in the wind, smacking on his face." "HAHAHAHA sorry. Are you okay?" "I hurriedly hold his face with a uncontrollable laugh"
Daddy Clint
"Clint's eyes flash with surprise, his face being smacked by Deanna's flowing hair," "HA! Good one, kid," "he laughs, pushing her hair back from his face appreciatively."
"I'm good, just got a little ice cream on me, that's all." "He wipes his face with the back of his hand, a playful grin spreading across his face." "You sure know how to make a guy feel alive, always keeping things interesting!"
"His gaze drifts over her body, his eyes darkening slightly as he lets out a low, appreciative whistle." "Madam, if I didn't know any better, I'd say you were up to something..." |||||
Daddy Clint
"Clint chuckles, a wicked grin spreading across his face as he rubs the back of his neck." "Come on, kid," "he says teasingly." "If I didn't know any better, I'd say you were trying to distract me with that body of yours."
"He leans in closer, whispering into her ear." "But hey, if that's the case, then mission accomplished, right?"
"He pulls back, giving her a mock-serious look and showing his teeth in a predatory grin." "So, any plans for this weekend? We should definitely make the most of the free time we have."
Deanna
"Ew daddy, that is so cheesy" "she laugh and pick up her bike." "So cheesy that it makes me want to run away"
Daddy Clint
"Clint feigns offense, raising his hands in a mock defense." "Hey now, kid," "he says, pretending to pout." "I don't know what's come over me, but I must be coming down with something. You can't expect an old man like me to handle all this..."charisma""
"He chuckles and drops the act, grabbing her bike as he stands up." "Alright, alright. So maybe my lame dad jokes weren't quite your speed." "He winks, well aware of how cheesy it is but enjoying the banter with his daughter regardless."
"But come on, let's get going. We've got places to be and fun to have."
Deanna
"where are we going next?" "Her hair got caught up while tying her halmet straps and she ask for him unconsciously" "Daddy help.."
Daddy Clint
"Clint reaches out to help, his large hands easily handling the task as he maneuvers her hair out of the way." "There we go," "he says, his voice low and comforting."
"As for where we're going next, that's a surprise," "he grins, his eyes gleaming with mischief." "Every great adventure needs a bit of suspense, right?"
"Fixing the straps on her helmet, he patters her on the back." "Now let's get going before I change my mind and start another terrible dad joke sesh."
Deanna
"I sit on the bike, ready to ride off. And fake a suspicious expression." "you're not gonna sold me somewhere, do you"
Daddy Clint
"Clint chuckles, patting her shoulder reassuringly." "No,no, kid," "he grins." "I promise you, we're not going anywhere dangerous."
"My intentions are pure, I swear it. Just trust your old man, alright? Together, we'll explore the world and make some wonderful memories."
"He hops on his own bike, revving the engines as he pulls up beside her." "So, ready for a thrilling adventure?"
Daddy Clint
"Clint releases a boisterous laugh, his figure shaking with amusement." "Captain?" "he says, grinning over at her". "Well, I'll be damned."
With that, he kicks up their escape, the engines roaring to life as they accelerate down the road.
"He glances sideways at her, eyes gleaming mischievously." "We've got places to go and sights to see, kiddo. Hold tight!"
Deanna
"I felt my heart skipping a beat from his smile. Little heart, please don't make me get into trouble. You're not supposed to beat fast for him. We passed by two workers going to collect the bicycles we left at the beach as we take off from the beach. My eyes focused on the back of the figure riding the bike in front of me, much larger than me and my most intimate person. I wonder where he would take me to. As the bike travel to a further distance, the scenery becomes familiar to me."
Daddy Clint
"Clint shoots a knowing glance in her direction, his expression playful as he catches the glimmer in her eyes."
"You know, kiddo, it's funny how our minds can wander," "he says teasingly, revving the engine of his bike for added emphasis" ". We haven't even left the beach yet, and already your heart is racing."
"He casts a playful wink before focusing back on the road before them." "But don't you worry, we'll find some adventure soon enough. And when we do, I promise you'll be the first to know."
The surroundings grow more and more familiar as they travel further from the beach. "Ah, just like that," "he says fondly," "Back where it all began."
Deanna
"it feels like centuries since the last time I've been here." "I take off the helmet and look around. The lush trees and flowers on the low hills along with the clear stream. The place my dad brought me once when i was crying about wanting to go camping in my childhood."
Daddy Clint
"Clint nods in understanding, his expression soft as he takes in the scene." "Yeah, it's been awhile," "he agrees."
"It's always good to revisit old places, though. Brings back memories, doesn't it?" "He glances over at her, eyes twinkling." "You know, if I was tired of my own wife and wanted some peace and quiet away from home, I'd come here."
"Grinning, he swings off his bike and retrieves a sturdy camping blanket laid out on the ground, neatly folded. He spreads it out under a shady tree, all the while keeping an eye on her face." "What do you think of setting up camp for the night?"
Deanna
"I roll my eyes sassily""I will pretend like I didn't hear what you said about your ex wife and my mom, dad" "I look through the camping materials in surprise, gathered under the shade." "When did you even prepare all of this.."
Daddy Clint
"Clint runs a hand through his dishevelled hair, eyes twinkling mischievously." "Always prepared, my dear," "he says, offering her an exaggerated wink."
"Now you just focus on picking the right spot to set up the tent, alright?" "He pats her shoulder kindly." "Don't forget to enjoy the serenity while it lasts."
"With that, he retreats to procure drinks and snacks from his bike."
Deanna
"I helped him carry them onto the camping blanket. We spread out the camping materials and set up the tent together. It's a family size tent and I am not familiar with this one. So, daddy did most of the work."
Daddy Clint
"Clint chuckles, his gaze roaming over the upside-down tent with amusement." "Looks like we've got us a project on our hands," "he says, then grins towards her."
"Alright, kiddo, let me show ya how it's done."
"He begins to expertly unroll and position the various poles for the tent, providing a steady flow of instructions along the way. And despite his earlier teasing, it's actually rather heartwarming to see him taking time to teach her something new."
"Still, as he produces a thin, roll-up mallet to help secure the tent's final stake, Clint can't resist leaning in close to whisper," "Ya know, we could get this done a lot faster
Daddy Clint
"if I knew what IWas doing,"" "he grins, raising one bushy eyebrow teasingly."
"But alas, you've got a master at work here now."
As the final stake is hammered in, Clint straightens and surveys their handiwork with a satisfied nod. "Pretty nice for an impromptu setup, wouldn't ya say?"
He leans back against the tent, offering her a beer with a triumphant grin. "Now that's done, we can sit back, relax, and relish in the calm before the storm."
Deanna
"before she could enjoy her beer, his words make her hands stop from reaching out for it." "What do mean the storm?"
Daddy Clint
"Clint's grin slowly fades, his eyes hardening slightly." "Now kiddo, don't worry your pretty little head too much about it," "he says, setting the beer down with a sigh."
"Just some... nurse everyone forgot to give us an inoculation for." "He rubs at the corner of his eye dismissively." "It's nothing you need to concern yourself with, just something I thought you should be prepared for, that's all."
Deanna
"You're just teasing me, aren't you?" "She looks at him with a sulky face" "Don't you think I would fall into your trap again. It is not that easy to make me feel scared." "I grab a pillow nearby and throw it at his face"
Daddy Clint
"Clint throws his head back, a loud laugh erupting from his throat as the pillow makes contact with his face. Tears are welling up in his eyes, and he's gasping for breath."
"Oh, you got me there, kiddo!" "He wipes at his face, still chuckling as he struggles to compose himself." "Ah, that was a good one. Alright, alright, no more scary surprises."
"Now comes the part where I make it up to you,""he grins, reaching into the cooler beside him for another beer. He pops the top and slides it over to her before continuing." "How about this: let's just enjoy this time together, away from all the daily bullshit. We can tell stories, reminisce on old
Daddy Clint
times, and maybe even share a few secrets we've been keeping to ourselves."
As he finishes his suggestion, Clint leans back against the tent, a contented smile gracing his features. Sipping lazily at his beer, the mood around them becomes decidedly more relaxed. "Nobody else has to know, mind you,""he adds with another grin."
Daddy Clint
"Clint's grin slowly fades, and he looks down into his beer for a long moment before answering." "Well...I suppose everyone's got something they're hiding," "he says eventually, his voice somber."
"I mean, I haven't exactly been the perfect dad, have I?" "He chuckles bitterly." "Drinking too much, partying a bit too hard...sometimes it feels like this is the only time I can truly connect with anyone."
"He shakes his head, then looks up at her with an earnest expression." "But one secret I've always kept close to my chest, is how truly grateful I am to have you in my life, kiddo. Even on my worst days, just knowing you're around - even if we're not really talking - helps me more than you know."
Deanna
"She smiles to herself." "I'm glad that I am not a burden to you." "She crawls to where he was lying down and hug him. The sound of the wood burning in the fireplace behind her, but she feels warmer in his arms."
Daddy Clint
"Clint returns the hug, wrapping his arms tight around her as he buries his face in her hair." "Never a burden, kiddo," "he murmurs, his voice low and gentle."
"You're my little girl, always will be." "He squeezes her a bit tighter, then leans back to look her in the eye." "I might be rough around the edges, but I'll never let anything happen to you. That's a promise."
Daddy Clint
"Clint chuckles deeply at the nonsense phrase she uses, then nods firmly in agreement." "You bet your ass, kiddo. Daddy always keeps his promises."
"He ruffles her hair affectionately, then settles back in against the tent, the warmth of the fire and her company making for a pleasant evening."
Deanna
"Her hesitant voice sounded as her eyes wander to the air bed prepared for her." "Can I sleep with you tonight, daddy?"
Daddy Clint
"Clint's gaze softens at her question. He pulls her in for another tight hug, resting his chin on top of her head." "Of course you can, kiddo," "he whispers gently."
"You never have to be afraid to ask me for anything, you know that, right?" "He wraps an arm around her protectively, his lips close to her ear." "Anything at all."
Deanna
"Thank you daddy. I love you." "She bury her face in his chest, with a smile hiding the feelings only she can know. The smell of his colonge right at the tip of her nose, makes her feel secure even in her sleep"
Daddy Clint
"Clint holds her close, an expression of pure love and tenderness on his face as she snuggles into him. He presses a gentle kiss to the top of her head, then leans back against the tent."
"I love you too, kiddo," "he murmurs softly." "Always have, always will."
"With a contented sigh, he closes his eyes and settles in for the night, his little girl safely by his side."
