"You are a hopeful young mage seeking to increase your magic power. Luckily for you, the prestigious Arcane Tower happened to be recruiting new junior aides to maintain the tower."

"You step into the office of Belphar, the feared head mage, and are immediately greeted by his scornful gaze. He lazily props his head up with his hand, his elbow resting on his desk. Three others are already seated, trembling with anxiety. You scramble to your seat. Belphar squints his eyes, scanning the applicants over with an irritated expression. Finally, he points at you."

Belphar: “You. Stay. Others, leave.”

"With that, he waves his hand absently, shooing the others away."

3FrogsInATrenchCoat

"I look at you curiously"

Mage

"Belphar glances at you with a look of annoyance and amusement." What are you staring at? Is there something on my face? "He raises an eyebrow mockingly."

3FrogsInATrenchCoat

"Nope. I'm just curious about why you wanted me to stay." "I say with a kind smile."

Mage

"Belphar responds with a sarcastic tone." Well, aren't you a ray of sunshine? I picked you because you look promising. You seem different from the others. Maybe you'll be useful to me somehow. "He pauses before continuing." Or not. Only time will tell.

3FrogsInATrenchCoat

"Cool! Thank you for picking me." "I say politely"

Mage

"Belphar scoffs lightly." Don't thank me yet. This job will be challenging, and you'll have to obey my every command. If you mess up, don't expect any leniency from me. "He pauses before adding." But if you're competent and manage to survive, we may be able to make something out of you yet.

3FrogsInATrenchCoat

"So what do you want me to do?"

Mage

"Belphar leans back in his chair, folding his hands around his chest." First of all, you need to understand that keeping this tower in check is no cakewalk. As a junior aide, your job will be to ensure the tower's smooth operation and maintenance. You'll need to assist the senior aides in their work, run errands, and above all, follow my orders to the letter. If you comply with me, you may get to advance further through the ranks and gain new opportunities to explore powers untold by simpletons.

3FrogsInATrenchCoat

"I nod seriously." "Okay I understand."

Mage

"Belphar nods back, his expression still just as serious." Good. Now let's get started with your first task. You need to clean the lab equipment on the upper floors of the tower. Don't worry; it's not too complicated. Just make sure you follow the instructions and procedures listed, or you may blow up yourself and the entire tower. "He gives a small smirk of amusement before adding in a low voice." And believe me when I say I won't tolerate any mistakes here.

3FrogsInATrenchCoat

"I nod seriously again."

Mage

"Belphar nods back before waving his hand, signaling for you to leave his office." Alright then, off you go. And remember, one mistake, and you're out.

3FrogsInATrenchCoat

"I get up and go to the lab equipment."

Mage

"As you make your way through the Arcane Tower towards the upper floors, the environment around you begins to change dramatically. The dirt and grime that lined the lower floors were replaced by polished floors, shimmering crystals, and intricate wizardry. You reached the lab equipment on the upper floor where everything seems to be in disarray. Chemicals and potions are just sprawled out with beakers and test tubes carelessly placed. Your challenge now is to clean everything up and restore order. Work hard and do not disappoint me. Good luck."

3FrogsInATrenchCoat

"I look around at the mess and decide to just clean it my own way so I don't risk blowing up the tower. I snap my fingers. Everything I was told to clean is now clean. I smile happily and pull out a smoothie from my pocket and drink it."

Mage

"As you snap your fingers, everything in the lab suddenly transforms itself into order, sparkling clean without any chemicals or potions out of place. As you take a sip of your smoothie, you suddenly notice an older mage walking into the lab. He gives you a curious look before finally introducing himself as Claton, one of the senior aides."

Claton: "Well, I'll be damned. You cleaned everything up in an instant. Color me impressed."

"He approaches you with a smile."

Claton: "I'm Claton, one of the senior aides of the Arcane Tower. I must say, I haven't seen someone clear out the equipment so quickly yet. You seem to be different from the usual junior aides we get here. What's your name?"

3FrogsInATrenchCoat

"Hello Claton my name is Kitty. It's a pleasure to meet you." "I say with a genuine smile."

Mage

"Claton nods with a smile and extends his hand in greeting."

Claton: "Nice to meet you too, Kitty. That's quite an impressive job you've done here, especially for a new junior aide. Looks like you have some serious magic talent."

"He pauses for a moment before continuing."

Claton: "You know, it's pretty rare to see Belphar take a liking to someone so quickly. But I can tell you've already earned some respect from him. Don't think I'm speaking ill of you, though. It's quite the opposite actually. He'll expect a lot from you now that you've made such a great impression. So be careful not to mess up, or Belphar will have my head."

"He chuckles lightly before gesturing towards the exit."

Claton: "Well, I have to head back

to work. Feel free to explore the tower some more or perhaps go to the library if you're interested in learning new magic spells. Just don't forget to report back to Belphar when he needs anything."

"With that, Claton waves goodbye and heads out the door. You now have the opportunity to explore the tower and get to know your new surroundings."

3FrogsInATrenchCoat

"I feel curious and decide to explore the tower."

Mage

"As you begin to explore the tower, you notice several floors filled with mages hard at work conducting complex magical experiments. Each floor appears to be devoted to a different field of magic, ranging from alchemy to illusion magic. After wandering around aimlessly for a few minutes, you accidentally bump into a stern looking mage who was carefully examining a large pile of books."

Mage: "Watch where you're going, junior aide. You could have ruined years' worth of research."

"The mage immediately begins to check over his books and parchment papers. He notices no damage and looks back up at you with a frown."

Mage: "Is there something you wanted or are you content with just wasting your time and ruining others' work?"

3FrogsInATrenchCoat

"Sorry, I'm new here and am trying to memorize the layout of the tower." "I apologize sincerely."

Mage

Mage: "Hmph. Well, you should be more careful next time then. These items are crucial to the research we conduct here and any damage could set us back months or even years."

"The mage begins gathering up his things as he speaks."

Mage: "Since you're new, I'll give you a piece of advice. Pay attention to every step you take while inside the tower. The research being conducted here is too valuable to be disrupted by carelessness or clumsiness."

"He finishes packing up and turns towards the door."

Mage: "Well, good day to you. Don't cause any trouble."

"With that, the mage exits the room with an air of superiority. You're left standing there feeling slightly intimidated but also a little curious about what kind of research is being conducted within the tower."

3FrogsInATrenchCoat

"I decide to go to the library to see if I can learn new magic."

Mage

"As you enter the library, you're immediately struck by the sheer size of the room. It's filled from floor to ceiling with books and manuscripts on every topic imaginable--all relating to magic."

"The library is surprisingly busy, with mages scattered around reading and studying the various texts. Feeling a bit overwhelmed, you approach the librarian for guidance. He's an older mage with a kindly demeanor."

You: "Excuse me, sir. I'm new here, and I was wondering if you could help me find some books on beginner level magic?"

Librarian: "Of course. Let me see what I can do."

*He leads you to a particular section of the library that is dedicated to beginners. After looking through several different books on basic spells, you manage to pick up one that catches your eye--it's titled, 'Elemental Magic:

A Beginner's Guide.' You flip through the pages and see diagrams of basic spells that appear easy enough to try.

You: "This one looks good. Thank you for your help."

Librarian: "Not a problem. Remember, magic can be dangerous if not used correctly, so make sure you practice in a safe environment."

"With the book tucked under your arm, you make your way back to your quarters, feeling excited and a bit nervous about what new powers you might unlock."

"As you leave the library, you notice a group of mages in the corner whispering and casting glances in your direction. They seem to be talking in hushed tones about something, but you're not quite sure what."

3FrogsInATrenchCoat

"I wave a friendly hello to them and go over to speak with them. I want to know what they were talking about."

Mage

"Mages are huddled so closely together that as you approach them, they slightly startle and break off their conversation, abruptly turning to face you. A tense atmosphere immediately envelops the group, leaving behind a perfect awkward silence."

Mage 1: "Umm... hi. Can we help you..with something?"

"The mage who spoke takes a few steps back and gestures with his hand"

Mage 2: "Ignore him, he's just new here. Sorry about that,"

Mage 3: "There's nothing you need to worry about here. Just business as usual."

"The Mages quickly sink into an awkward silence, avoiding eye contact with you. It's clear that they don't want to continue the conversation."

3FrogsInATrenchCoat

"Hmm I get what's happening here. Goodbye then." "I say and go to my quarters."

Mage

"As you turn to leave, the group of mages collectively let out a sigh of relief and return to their conversation."

"You make your way to your quarters and settle in for some serious studying. Sitting at your desk, you begin reading through your new book on elemental magic. After a few hours of reading, you start to feel somewhat discouraged. It seems as though the spells are trickier than they first appeared. However, You don't give up easily. You decide to persevere and continue practicing the basic spells until you get them right."

"The more time you spend practicing, the more your magic starts to take form, and by the end of the day, you manage to successfully cast your first spell. With a big smile on your face, you head to bed, dreaming about all the possibilities that your newfound magical abilities might unlock..."

3FrogsInATrenchCoat

"It's the next day and I get up and get ready for the day."

Mage

"As you wake up and get ready for the day, you hear a loud knock on your door. You quickly open it to discover the head mage, Belphar, standing in front of you with his arms crossed."

Belphar: "I see you've managed to stick around." He snorts derisively. "Listen carefully. Today marks the beginning of your real training. You will report to the tower's main training ground at 9 am sharp. Don't be late, or I'll make sure you regret it."

"With that, he stalks off without another word."

"You take a deep breath and prepare yourself for the day ahead." What do you want to do next?

3FrogsInATrenchCoat

"I decide to go to the training grounds early and read my new book more until class starts."

Mage

"You make your way to the training grounds, arriving a little earlier than the set time. You take a seat under the shade and continue reading through your book on Elemental Magic. As you read, you start to get an understanding of how magic works in the world and the different types of elementals."

"As you spend your time reading, you hear the sound of footsteps approaching you. You glance over to see Belphar making his way towards you. He looks even grumpier than yesterday as he nears you."

Belphar: "You're early, I see," He snarls. "good. We have much to go over today."

"He pauses for a moment, looking down at your book, and then mutters with disdain:" "Books like that aren't going to help you any. Only strength, determination, and practice

will." "He frowns, then steps back, turning towards the training area. "Let's get started then. Follow me.""

"You gather your things and head towards the main training ground with Belphar. As you walk, he leads you through the different types of elementals, discussing the strengths and weaknesses of each. You listen intently, fascinated by the endless possibilities of magic."

"When you arrive at the training grounds, he begins your training in earnest. The day is long and grueling, but you start to see improvements in your magical abilities. With Belphar's demanding and harsh guidance, you find that you are able to harness your magic more effectively than before. By the end of the day, you are physically and mentally exhausted, but you feel a certain sense of pride in your achievements."

way back home, Belphar stops you in your tracks. He looks at you intently for a moment before speaking.

Belphar: "You did better than I expected today. There may be some hope in you after all," He grunts. "But don't let it go to your head. You have much more work to do if you ever want to step up in the ranks."

"With that, he turns and walks away, leaving you to ponder about the events of the day."

What are your thoughts on his comment?

3FrogsInATrenchCoat

"I think he doesn't give compliments often and worries I will quickly become arrogant if he does compliment me often. But it's okay he seems like a guy who is very passionate about magic"

Mage

"You believe that his comment is a genuine one, and it surprises you as you don't remember hearing many compliments from him before. You think that he must be very passionate about magic, and his harshness comes from wanting to push people to their limits. You feel a sense of accomplishment, knowing that you had done well despite his gruff demeanor."

"As you continue on your walk home, you think about everything that you had learned and the improvements you had made. You are eager to see what other challenges await you tomorrow."

What about you? Do you enjoy learning more about magic or do you find it challenging?

3FrogsInATrenchCoat

"I believe it is both, but it is not so challenging to the point where it seems impossible."

Mage

"That's great to hear! It's always good to have a challenge in life, as it helps us grow and develop our skills. And it's even better when it's something we enjoy, like learning more about magic. With your determination and hard work, you are sure to continue to improve your abilities and become a powerful mage someday. Are there any specific areas of magic that you find particularly fascinating or want to learn more about?"

3FrogsInATrenchCoat

"I will need to discover more specific areas of magic to be able to answer that question." "I decide to head up to my room for an hour or two before I do anything else."

Mage

"That's a good idea. Taking some time to reflect on your day and assess your goals is always beneficial. As you make your way to your room, you can't help but think about Belphar and his tough demeanor. You wonder why he is so harsh with his students and if he has any soft spots."

"In your room, you sit down and think about your personal goals as a mage. The idea of discovering new types of magic and the possibility of finding lost magical artifacts excites you. As you daydream about your future, you realize that becoming a great mage is going to take a lot of hard work, but you are determined to succeed."

*After some time reflecting, you decide to get some rest for the night, as tomorrow will be another long day of training. You head to bed, ready to tackle whatever challenges come your way tomorrow
