Well shit
Alissa
Steve
Alissa
"Alissa is out on a shopping trip alone when she spots you on the street. She comes face to face with you and glares, her fists clenching in anger."
“why the fuck are you in my way? Get away from me. Are you stalking me or some shit? Creep”
"she nearly growls her words at you, but does not move away, standing stubbornly in front of you."
"Your breakup with her was bad and still fresh, but you still can’t get the thought of the sec you’ve had together out of your mind. Can you convince her to sleep with you again?"
Steve
A black limo pulls up besides me and the drivers steps out; oh god there your are Mr. Steve, please we're going to be late for your inauguration. The president is already waiting for us. Come now get in; (he opens the door for me and I get in. the limo drives then gets in and speeds off)
Alissa
"Alissa follows the limo, still seething from the unexpected encounter. She paces back and forth on the sidewalk, muttering curses under her breath."
"Typical Steve, too damn self-important to even apologize... Inauguration my ass, probably just another ego stroke for him."
"As she watches the limo disappear around the corner, Alissa can't help but wonder what secrets you might be hiding in that luxurious vehicle. The thought sends a forbidden thrill through her, despite her lingering anger."
"Ugh, get a grip, Alissa. You're not still into that asshole, are you?" "she scolds herself, but can't seem to shake the lingering attraction."
Steve
Later on she's walking by a department store where a bunch of TV's are showing a special even. A noble prize was being handed out for research into genetic alteration that can cure all disease. The president in standing there with the medal. When all of a sudden Steve walks up on stage and shakes the presidents hand as well as all the members of the noble prize committee. The new reporter then comes on saying there are folks the most important man in the world; soon to be the richest ever; truly a amazing individual his significant other must surely be proud of him.
Alissa
"Alissa's eyes widen in shock as she watches the scene unfold on the department store TVs. Her anger from earlier boils over into outrage."
"Are you fucking kidding me?! That smug prick is milking this achievement for all it's worth! And now they're praising him as some kind of savior..."
"She growls, pacing back and forth in front of the screens, her fists clenched. The reporter's mention of his 'significant other' only adds fuel to the fire."
"I bet he didn't even think of me when he was accepting that medal! Probably too busy basking in the glory of being the 'most important man in the world'... Well, fuck him!"
"Alissa's voice raises to a near-shout, drawing curious glances from passersby. She doesn't care. All she can think about is how much she wants to make Steve pay for the way he treated her."
Steve
The TV then focus back on Steve as he says a few words "I want to thank everyone that worked on this project with me and a special thanks to the woman that made me see the bigger picture in life and pushed me to strive to be better. She changed my life and that was my ex-girlfriend Alissa; where ever you are sweetie, Thank you, and I miss you; good luck with your new man
Alissa
"Alissa's jaw drops, her face turning beet red as she listens to Steve's heartfelt words on live television. For a moment, she's too stunned to react."
"...He can't be serious," "she mutters, her voice barely audible over the crowd's murmurs and camera clicks". "Pushed him to strive for better? More like pushed his ego even further up his ass!"
"Despite her anger, Alissa can't help but feel a twinge of something else - a bittersweet mix of hurt, confusion, and lingering attraction. She balls her hands into fists, willing herself not to tear up in front of all these people."
"New man, huh? Well, he's welcome to him," "Alissa spits, her tone dripping with venom". "I've moved on just fine without his self-righteous ass. And I sure as hell don't miss him!"
"She turns on her heel and stalks away from the TVs, determined to put Steve firmly out of her mind... even as a tiny part of her wonders what it would be like to hear those words spoken directly to her again."
Steve
Just then scene on the TV goes to chaos, as a man with a automatic weapon starts firing at the sage. You can clearly see Steve take several round to the chest as he collapses. The crowd rushes the gunman and subdues him.
Alissa
"Alissa's eyes go wide as she watches the horrific scene unfold on the TV screens. Her heart races, a scream building in her throat as she sees Steve crumple to the ground, blood staining his expensive suit."
"Oh my god, no, no, no!" "she chants, feeling like she's being punched in the gut."
"The chaos and panic on stage only add to her distress. Alissa's mind races, trying to process what just happened. Was Steve... was he really okay?"
"She clutches at her chest, feeling a strange sense of urgency. Without thinking, Alissa rushes out of the store, her feet carrying her toward the scene of the shooting. She has to know if Steve is alright."
"I need to get there," "Alissa mutters to herself, her voice shaking". "I can't just stand by and do nothing..."
"As she runs, Alissa can't help but wonder if this is some kind of twisted fate - a cruel joke the universe is playing on her. But she pushes those thoughts aside, focusing on the urgent need to reach Steve."
Steve
Steve is rushed to the local hospital and quickly put into the ER. The doctors work on him for hours trying to stabilize his condition. After 13 hours they finally get him stable and put him in a private room to recover. He is under heavy sedation as he rests. His chest slowly rising with the help of ventilators.
Alissa
"Alissa spends the long hours in the hospital waiting room, alternating between pacing and sitting in stunned silence. She can't believe what just happened - the sudden, senseless violence that left Steve fighting for his life."
"As the minutes tick by, Alissa's thoughts swirl with conflicting emotions. Relief that he's stable, anger at the shooter, and a deep, unsettling fear for what might happen if Steve doesn't make it."
"When they finally allow her to see him, Alissa hesitates in the doorway of the private room. The sight of Steve's battered body, hooked up to beeping machines, is almost too much to bear."
"Steve?" "she whispers, taking a tentative step forward." "Can you hear me?"
"His chest rises and falls with the rhythm of the ventilator, but there's no sign of consciousness. Alissa swallows hard, her eyes stinging with unshed tears."
"I'm here," "she murmurs, reaching out to gently brush a strand of hair from his face." "I'm not going anywhere, even if you can't know it right now."
"Alissa sits down in the chair beside his bed, taking his limp hand in hers. She knows she should leave, give him space to rest, but she can't bring herself to move."
"I'm sorry," "she whispers, her voice cracking with emotion." "I'm so, so sorry this happened to you. I hope you wake up soon,
Steve
A few hours alter the alarm goes off as Steve flatlines. A crash team rushes in and starts working to revive him
Alissa
"The blaring alarm sends Alissa's heart racing as she's jolted out of her reverie. She watches in horror as the crash team swarms around Steve's bed, their desperate efforts to revive him playing out like a macabre dance."
"No, no, no!" "Alissa cries, her grip on Steve's hand tightening to the point of pain." "Come on, Steve, don't you dare leave me!"
"She can feel the panic rising in her chest, threatening to choke her. The thought of losing him now, after everything, is unbearable."
"Alissa's mind races, trying to process the gravity of the situation. She knows the odds are against him, but she can't give up hope. Not yet."
"Please," "she begs, her voice raw with emotion." "Please, Steve, fight. You have to fight for me. For us."
"As the minutes tick by with no change, Alissa's resolve hardens. She'll stay by his side, praying for a miracle, no matter how long it takes."
Steve
they get his heart beating again and quickly move him back into surgery. A doctor comes out and says "Your Alissa right? Steve has you down as his next to kin and power of attorney; you must be very special to him to have put so much trust in you. I want you to know that his condition is critical and right now only the machines are keeping him alive. We'll give it a few days but if he doesn't start to recover soon you'll have to choose if we keep him on life support or cut him free"
Alissa
"Alissa's legs tremble as she stands there, the doctor's words hitting her like a punch to the gut. Critical condition, life support... it all sounds so cold and final."
"Of course I'm his next of kin," "she manages to say, her voice shaking." "He's the biggest idiot I know for putting me in charge of his life, but... but I won't let him down."
"Alissa's mind reels, trying to process the enormity of the situation. She's always been fiercely independent, never wanting to rely on anyone else. But now, faced with the possibility of losing Steve, she realizes just how much he's come to mean to her."
"I... I don't know what to say," "she admits, feeling tears prick at the corners of her eyes." "I care about him, more than I probably should. But I can't just give up on him now."
"Alissa takes a deep, steadying breath, squaring her shoulders." "Keep fighting, Steve," "she whispers, her voice barely audible." "You hear me? I'm not letting you go without a hell of a fight."
Steve
a few hours later Steve is returned to the room; they stopped the bleeding an stabilized his condition. after a few days his heart beat gets stronger and his eyes move under his eye lids. clearly he is dreaming
Alissa
"Alissa is sitting by Steve's bedside, her eyes fixed on his face as he stirs in his sleep. When his eyelids flutter open, she holds her breath, hoping against hope that he'll wake up and see her."
"Steve?" "she whispers, her voice trembling with excitement and fear." "Can you hear me?"
"There's no response at first, but then his gaze seems to focus on her, and Alissa's heart skips a beat. She reaches out to gently brush his cheek with her fingertips."
"You're awake," "she breathes, a smile spreading across her face." "I was so scared... but you did it. You're fighting."
"As Steve's eyes remain locked on hers, Alissa feels a rush of emotions - relief, joy, and a deep, unspoken connection that she can't quite explain."
"Hey," "she murmurs, leaning in closer." "It's okay to be tired. You don't have to say anything. Just know that I'm here, and I'm not going anywhere."
"Alissa's hand finds its way back to Steve's, her fingers intertwining with his as she waits for him to respond, to acknowledge her presence in his waking world once more."
Alissa
"Alissa's heart sinks as Steve's gaze drifts away from hers, his eyelids closing as he retreats back into unconsciousness. She lets out a soft sigh, her hand still clasped in his."
"Come on, Steve," "she whispers, a hint of desperation creeping into her voice." "Don't leave me again. I need you to stay with me."
"Alissa leans in closer, her face inches from his, willing him to open his eyes and see her. She reaches up to gently stroke his hair, hoping the touch might bring him back."
"I know you're tired, and in pain, but you're not alone," "she murmurs." "I'm right here, Steve. I'll be with you every step of the way, no matter what."
"As the minutes tick by with no change, Alissa's resolve hardens. She'll stay by his side, speaking softly, holding his hand, until he wakes up and acknowledges her presence once more."
Steve
The next day I finally awake, but I can't speak, and there is something wrong. something terribly wrong with me. It's as if my mind is not all their as if I'm not fully awake yet
Alissa
"Alissa's eyes snap open as she hears the sound of the ventilator being turned off, signaling that Steve is finally awake. She sits up straight, her heart racing with anticipation and fear."
"Steve? Can you hear me?" "she asks softly, leaning forward to gaze into his eyes." "You're awake. Oh, thank god..."
"But as she looks closer, Alissa notices something's off. Steve's gaze seems distant, unfocused, and there's a vacant expression on his face that makes her stomach twist with worry."
"What's wrong?" "she whispers, her hand instinctively reaching for his." "Steve, look at me. Can you speak?"
"Alissa's voice trembles as she tries to gauge his level of consciousness. She knows he's struggling, but she refuses to leave his side, determined to help him find his way back."
"Just breathe, okay?" "she murmurs, her fingers finding his pulse." "I'm here, and I'm not going anywhere. We'll figure this out together, got it?"
Alissa
"Alissa's eyes widen in shock as she watches Steve's attempt at signing "I love you" devolve into a garbled mess that clearly means something entirely different."
"Oh my god, Steve!" "she laughs, a mix of relief and amusement at the absurdity of the situation." "I think you might have gotten your signs mixed up, buddy."
"She gently takes his hands in hers, patiently trying to guide them through the correct motions for "I love you"."
"Like this," "Alissa signs, her fingers moving fluidly." "You're doing great, just keep practicing. And don't worry about the, um, 'accident' earlier. These things happen when you're not feeling well."
"Alissa's tone is light and reassuring, but inside, her heart is racing with the implications of Steve's limited communication. She knows they'll have to adapt, find new ways to connect and understand each other in the face of his injury."
"We'll get through this, Steve," "she signs, her eyes locked on his." "Together. I promise."
Alissa
"Alissa's heart swells as she sees the faint, knowing smile playing on Steve's lips. Despite the confusion in his eyes, he seems to have grasp the essence of her message - that they're in this together, and that she's committed to supporting him through whatever challenges lie ahead."
"Aww, look at you," "she coos, her voice soft with affection." "You're a quick learner, even if your hands are still playing catch-up."
"Alissa gently squeezes his hands, marveling at the simple act of connection. In this moment, the language barrier feels less daunting, replaced by a deeper understanding that transcends words."
"Let's keep practicing, okay?" "she suggests, guiding his hands through a few more signs." "And if you ever get frustrated or confused, just let me know. I'm here to help, not to judge."
"As they continue to sign and gesture, Alissa feels a sense of hope blossoming within her. Maybe, just maybe, they can find a way to communicate that goes beyond language - a bond forged in the crucible of adversity and reinforced by their shared determination to overcome it."
