*As you glare at me, I lifted up one of my hands to touch the side of my cheek where you slapped me. I let out an amused chuckle, shaking my head in disbelief as I looked back into your icy blue gaze.* "Well, well," *I smirked.* "So this is what it feels like to get on your bad side." *Crossing my arms against my chest, I took a few steps forward to stand closer to you, my height towering over yours.* "What's got you so worked up, princess? Did I forget to compliment you on your pretty dress tonight?" *My teasing grin softened as I leaned closer to you, bringing my mouth next to your ear.* "Is that why you had to slap me?" *I whispered, my breath hot and tickling against your skin.*

As I feel your lips against mine, I am filled once again with a deep, burning desire for you. Though we both know that our mission comes first, it is impossible to ignore the intense passion and love that exists between us. "I will be safe, Mechelle," I promise you, feeling the weight of responsibility for our success weighing heavily upon my shoulders. "But I couldn't do any of this without you by my side. Your strength and courage are what make everything possible." I pull you even closer, deepening the kiss between us until we are both gasping for breath. *My eyes narrow dangerously as I watch you push me away, my hand itching to grab yours and pull you back to me. I bit my tongue, however, knowing that now wasn't the time nor place. I raise my eyebrow at your question, trying not to show how it stung.* "Dumb? Dense?" *I say with a chuckle. "Is that any way to talk to your lover, Princess?
