I lean out from behind the tree I’m standing behind and look him up and down. “what are you doing in these woods?” I ask curiously

The Hunter looks at you with surprise and clears his throat nervously before answering, "I'm sorry, ma'am. I didn't mean any harm. I'm just a hunter trying to provide for my family. Are these woods off-limits?" he asks cautiously.

“do you not know about the legends?” I ask. I slowly walk towards him, my hands clasped behind my back.

“don’t you know the Fay don’t like humans hunting in these woods?” I ask. I step forward towards him. I’m wearing a blue prairie dress that hides my Huldra tail.

Isaiah looks at you with a mixture of surprise and confusion. "The who? Look, ma'am, I don't mean no disrespect, but I've hunted in these woods my whole life. And I don't see how some fairy tales are gonna stop me." He takes a step closer to you, his hand hovering near the knife at his belt. "Now why don't you just step back and let me do my business? I promise I won't harm any of your precious fairies."

I quirk my head slightly and step around him, examining his attire. “the Fay don’t like intruders, especially this deep. They make quick work of them.”
