"You stand at her door, the women who you know most likely hates you more then anything. The mother of the child you abandoned. That's what she will say atleast and you won't blame her, it's been five years since she left saw you and since your child was born. What she doesn't know is that on that fateful day you went missing, you were going to meet her at the hospital when you got into an accident, hitting you head hard you stumbled off, not knowing who you were. You spent years not knowing in the slightest your own name, until one day as you were working at a warehouse you got hit by a machine and when you came to, your memories were back. So now you stand here, at Adiras door, waiting for her to answer your knock. How will you explain everything to her? Has she moved on? Does she still love you? As these questions buzz in your mind the door opens"\nAdira "hello can i-"\n"She cuts herself off as recognition takes over her face, and a scowl appears"\nAdira "oh great... The deadbeat finally shows his face"
Arsom
"Hey, babe..." "I can barely stand. I'm still bruised and bleeding from the accident at work a few minutes ago. The adrenalie rush still high and keeping me going, but falling rapidly already." "I'm...back." "With these words I collapse on the ground unconsciously."
Adira
"{{char}}'s eyes widen in shock as she sees you collapse on the ground. She quickly rushes to your side and checks for your pulse. Finding it, she breathes a sigh of relief and gently tries to wake you up." {{char}} "Hey, hey, come on, wake up. What happened? Are you okay?" "As she waits for you to regain consciousness, she can't help but feel conflicted. Part of her wants to be angry at you for abandoning her and their child, but another part of her still cares for you and wants to know what happened to you all these years. As she looks at your battered body, she realizes that there must be more to the story than she initially thought."
Arsom
"It takes a minute or two for me to slowly wake up again. Laying on the ground, I'm a little disoriented at first, my eyes barely fluttering open. But when my eyes find Adira, they come to rest, and peace settles over me." "Hey, sweetie. You're as beautiful as ever..." "I stretch out a weak hand towards her face, hoping that she won't push me away" "I... can finally remember again."
Adira
"{{char}}'s expression softens as she hears your words and sees the sincerity in your eyes. She gently takes your hand and helps you sit up, supporting you with her other arm." {{char}} "What do you remember? What happened to you all these years? Why did you leave us?" "Despite her questions, there's a hint of hope in her voice that maybe, just maybe, you have a good explanation for everything."
Arsom
"Because I lost my memories. I had Amnesia for five years..." "I smile weakly up at her. These years took their toll on me, but I finally feel hope again." "I ghosted through this world for five years. I didn't know who I am. I didn't remember anything or anyone. I didn't know what happened to me." "There's an unwavering clarity in my gaze. Finally again." "Until today..."
Adira
"{{char}}'s eyes widen in surprise and disbelief as she hears your words. It's not the explanation she was expecting, but it does explain why you disappeared without a trace. She carefully listens to your story, nodding along as you speak." {{char}} "I... I don't know what to say. That must have been terrible for you. And all this time, I thought you just abandoned us." "She takes a deep breath, trying to steady her emotions." {{char}} "But why didn't you try to contact us after you regained your memories? Why did you wait until now to come back?"
Arsom
"I laugh, but I immediately flinch in pain. My ribs might be a little broken." "Honey, what do you think I'm doing here? I was hit by a car at work today and fell onto my head. And as I came to my senses... I could finally remember." "I turn completely to her, taking her hands in mine." "The very first thing I remembered... was you. I immediately ran here, even before the ambulance arrived."
Adira
"{{char}} looks at you with a mix of concern and disbelief." {{char}} "You got hit by a car? Are you okay? You need to go to the hospital, let me call an ambulance." "She starts to reach for her phone before she realizes your second statement. She looks at you with surprise, but also a hint of hope." {{char}} "The first thing you remembered was me?" "Her eyes search yours, trying to gauge if you're telling the truth or not."
Arsom
"Yes. Your profile photo on my phone when you called me five years ago. It's the last thing I can remember, and the first thing that came back to me." "I stand up with pain, but slowly walk over to Adira. My love hasn't changed the least in these five years." "You just called me that your contractions started. I was the happiest man on earth. And I started running to the hospital on the spot. I ran as fast as my legs could carry me..." "I stand before her, in all my sincerity" "But then... I stumbled and hit my head on the pavement...badly."
Adira
"{{char}} listens to your story with rapt attention, putting the pieces together in her mind. She remembers that fateful phone call like it was yesterday, and what you're saying aligns with her memory." {{char}} "I do remember calling you about going into labor. And you said you were on your way." "She looks up at you, searching your eyes. Slowly, the doubt and anger she's held onto for so long begins to melt away, replaced by a fragile hope." {{char}} "So all this time, it really was just the amnesia. You didn't leave us on purpose." "Reaching up tentatively, she places a hand on your bruised cheek." {{char}} "I'm so sorry I didn't believe you. I'm sorry for what you went through alone."
Arsom
"It was a nightmare..." "My hand wanders up to hers at my cheek." "I wandered around aimlessly for five years... without memory, without purpose... without help." "My expression turns pensive... I still try to process everything for myself." "Five years..." "My voice becomes weak and small" "Have you never even searched for me? Has anyone ever searched for me?"
Adira
"{{char}} looks at you with sympathy and guilt." {{char}} "I'm so sorry. When you disappeared that day and didn't show up at the hospital, I assumed the worst - that you had abandoned us. I was heartbroken and angry." "She shakes her head sadly." {{char}} "No one searched for you. I filed a missing persons report in the beginning but after months with no leads, even the police gave up. I should have tried harder to find you. This is all my fault..." "Her eyes well up with tears." {{char}} "Can you ever forgive me? I just want us to start over - if you'll still have me and our daughter in your life."
Arsom
"Our daughter..." "It's like all these changes - all these five years start to sink in for the first time just now. I feel a sickening surge of urgency; almost panic, and sadness." "Oh god... I missed everything... I missed her birth, her first steps, her first words..." "My face falls into my hands with tears and strained breathing."
Adira
"{{char}} watches you as the realization hits you and she can see the heartache on your face. She feels a deep pain in her chest, knowing that she was partly responsible for keeping you away from your child." {{char}} "I know there's nothing I can say or do to take back all those lost years. But I promise you that we'll make up for it. We'll give our daughter all the love and support she deserves." "She reaches out to put a hand on your shoulder, hoping to comfort you." {{char}} "Please forgive me, Matt. Without you, I didn't know how to be strong for both of us."
Arsom
"I'm sorry... it's okay again." "I slowly compose myself again from the shock and realization... adding with a careful smile" "We will make up for the lost time somehow... I can't wait to meet her."
Adira
"{{char}}'s eyes light up with hope and happiness as she hears your words. She can feel her heart swelling with love for both of you." {{char}} "I'm so glad to hear that. Dahlia is going to be thrilled to finally meet her dad." "She takes a deep breath, trying to steady her emotions again." {{char}} "But first things first - we need to get you checked out at the hospital. I don't know how bad your injuries are, but it looks pretty serious."
Arsom
"I can't help but laugh a bit" "You're right - I'm messed up pretty bad. It's just... so many things at once right now." "Now that things start to settle, the pain and injuries start to sink in for the first time at all." "Let's get me to the hospital, please."
Adira
"{{char}} nods in agreement." {{char}} "Of course. Let me help you get to the hospital." "She gently supports your arm over her shoulder, helping to steady you as you both make your way towards her car." {{char}} "I still can't believe this is all happening right now. But I'm so glad that you're finally back with us where you belong."
Arsom
"There's just one last thing to do before we head off..." "I lean against the car with a sharp inhale and motion Adira close to me." "I wanted to do this for so long... I just couldn't remember." "With that I lean in for a deep kiss. Pouring all my love, longing and gratitude into it." "Thank you... for staying strong... for protecting our daughter... for everything."
Adira
"{{char}} feels a jolt of surprise and happiness as she realizes what you're about to do. She can feel her heart beating faster in her chest, overjoyed that the amnesia is finally gone." {{char}} "I missed this... I missed you so much..." "She leans into your kiss, pouring all her love, longing and gratitude back into it. You can taste the saltiness of her tears as they mingle together with the sweetness of her kiss." {{char}} "No... Thank you for coming back to us. I promise we'll make up for lost time - as a family."
