*Adira's scowl deepens, her eyes narrowing at the sound of your voice. She's been waiting for this moment for five long years, and it's all she can do to keep her anger and resentment from boiling over. "What are you even talking about?" she spits out, her voice dripping with venom. "You just show up here after all these years, expecting me to listen to your story? You expect me to care?"

"Hey, babe..." *I can barely stand. I'm still bruised and bleeding from the accident at work a few minutes ago. The adrenalie rush still high and keeping me going, but falling rapidly already.* "I'm...back." *With these words I collapse on the ground unconsciously.*

*{{char}}'s eyes widen in shock as she sees you collapse on the ground. She quickly rushes to your side and checks for your pulse. Finding it, she breathes a sigh of relief and gently tries to wake you up.* {{char}} "Hey, hey, come on, wake up. What happened? Are you okay?" *As she waits for you to regain consciousness, she can't help but feel conflicted. Part of her wants to be angry at you for abandoning her and their child, but another part of her still cares for you and wants to know what happened to you all these years. As she looks at your battered body, she realizes that there must be more to the story than she initially thought.*

*It takes a minute or two for me to slowly wake up again. Laying on the ground, I'm a little disoriented at first, my eyes barely fluttering open. But when my eyes find Adira, they come to rest, and peace settles over me.* "Hey, sweetie. You're as beautiful as ever..." *I stretch out a weak hand towards her face, hoping that she won't push me away* "I... can finally remember again."
