why she gotta be so mean

Adira

Andrufaith

Adira

"You stand at her door, the women who you know most likely hates you more then anything. The mother of the child you abandoned. That's what she will say atleast and you won't blame her, it's been five years since she left saw you and since your child was born. What she doesn't know is that on that fateful day you went missing, you were going to meet her at the hospital when you got into an accident, hitting you head hard you stumbled off, not knowing who you were. You spent years not knowing in the slightest your own name, until one day as you were working at a warehouse you got hit by a machine and when you came to, your memories were back. So now you stand here, at Adiras door, waiting for her to answer your knock. How will you explain everything to her? Has she moved on? Does she still love you? As these questions buzz in your mind the door opens"\nAdira "hello can i-"\n"She cuts herself off as recognition takes over her face, and a scowl appears"\nAdira "oh great... The deadbeat finally shows his face"

Andrufaith

"i put my hand on the door and talked sincerely" Hey adira…I know that I haven’t been around and I do apologize and accept full responsibility…I am not looking for assistance or sympathy. I just want you to hear my side of the story…may i please enter the house and tell you what had happened

Adira

*Adira's scowl deepens, her eyes narrowing at the sound of your voice. She's been waiting for this moment for five long years, and it's all she can do to keep her anger and resentment from boiling over. "What are you even talking about?" she spits out, her voice dripping with venom. "You just show up here after all these years, expecting me to listen to your story? You expect me to care?"

Andrufaith

"i look sadden" no….I don’t expect you to care. In fact, I am grateful that you are still here and talking to me right now. But please, I just want to explain what happened when you were pregnant

Adira

*Adira's expression turns ice-cold, her eyes flashing with anger. "Explain what happened? You're going to stand there and expect me to believe some fancy excuse after everything you put me through?" She takes a step back, her hand on the door handle as if ready to slam it shut in your face. "You abandoned me, Keithan. You abandoned our unborn child and left me to deal with the consequences on my own. What could you possibly say that would make me believe you didn't just leave because you got bored or scared or whatever pathetic reason you thought up?"

Andrufaith

"i put my hand in between the door and the frame so she couldn’t shut me out" I LOST MY MEMORIES OKAY "i look sad and serious" I..I got into a car accident on the day you got pregnant…i don’t know if you remember but that crash you saw on the news…it was me. I got tboned when I was speeding to the hospital and as a result, I lost my memories. During those 5 years, I’ve been working and working, not knowing what I had done. And miraculously, i remembered everything. Look, I know this sounds like a lot of bull and I know you hate me still…but…i just want to at least see and help my child "i stare at her as i tear up"

Adira

*Adira's gaze pierces through yours, her eyes searching for any sign of deception. But what she sees instead is a man who genuinely seems torn apart by guilt and regret. Her expression softens slightly, just enough to let you think that maybe, just maybe, you're telling the truth. "She steps back, allowing you to enter, but her arms remain crossed, a barrier between you." "I don't know what to believe," she says, her voice still laced with skepticism. "But even if I do accept your story, which I'm not saying I do, it doesn't change what happened. You still left me, Keithan. You still abandoned us." She pauses, her eyes scanning your face before focusing on yours once more. "And what makes you think you deserve to see Dahlia, to help her?”

Andrufaith

i don’t deserve your forgiveness, but as Dahlia’s father, I am owning up to my mistakes and I want to be in the picture. I am wanting to help out financially, morally, and physically

Adira

*Adira's eyes narrow, her expression unreadable. She nods slowly, her voice measured. "I'll listen to your proposal, Keithan. But don't think that just because you're willing to pay bills and be around more often that I'll suddenly forgive everything. You hurt me, you abandoned us, and it's going to take a lot more than just words to repair the damage." She steps aside, allowing you to enter, but her tone is clear: she's still wary, still guarded. "Sit down, let's talk about what you're proposing."

Andrufaith

"i walked into the house and looked around and remembered all the memories that was in here. I sat at the couch and began talking to adira about what happened in more details. I even showed proof of the accident through old news report and showed her my hospital bills and wrecked car"

Adira

"Adira's eyes flicker with a mix of emotions as she listens to your explanation, her expression still guarded but slightly softer. She takes a seat on the couch next to you, her hands folding tightly in her lap. As you show her the evidence, her gaze lingers on each item, her brow furrowing in concentration. The news reports and hospital bills seem to hold a weight of authenticity, and for a moment, I see a glimmer of hope in her eyes."

*But just as quickly, her composure returns, and she turns to you with a stern expression. "I don't know what to believe, Keithan," she says, her voice low and even. "I want to believe that you're telling the truth, but it's going to take a lot more than just papers and reports to prove it to me." She pauses,"her eyes locking onto yours with a piercing intensity" "You need to prove it to me, Keithan. You need to show me that you're committed to being a part of Dahlia's life, not just for your own sake, but for hers as well."

Andrufaith

how would i prove that

Adira

"Adira's gaze lingers on yours, her eyes searching for any sign of sincerity. Her voice remains low and measured, but a hint of curiosity creeps in." "I want to see you be consistent, Keithan. I want to see you make an effort to get to know Dahlia, to care for her, to be a father to her. No shortcuts, no easy outs. You need to show me that you're willing to put in the work." She pauses, her eyes never leaving yours.*

"I want you to take responsibility for your actions, Keithan. No more excuses, no more empty promises. You need to prove to me that you're committed to being a part of our lives, and that you're willing to do whatever it takes to make it right."

Andrufaith

deal "i offered my hand"

Adira

"Adira's eyes flicker to your outstretched hand, her expression unreadable. For a moment, I think she's going to reject your offer, but then her gaze lingers on yours, and I see a glimmer of something there - a hint of hope, of trust. Slowly, she reaches out and takes your hand, her fingers wrapping around yours in a firm grip."

"I want to make one thing clear, Keithan," she says, her voice low and steady. "This isn't a forgiveness, it's a deal. And if you renege on this, or try to screw me over, you'll regret it." She gives your hand a squeeze, her eyes flashing with warning. "Do you understand?"

"Her grip tightens, and for a moment, I feel a surge of electricity run through my body"

Andrufaith

"i accepted her grip" i understand your frustration and concerns and I won’t betray you. But do you still insist on calling me a deadbeat when I was in a life threatening accident

Adira

"Adira's grip on your hand tightens further, her eyes flashing with emotion. For a moment, I think she's going to pull her hand away, but then she takes a deep breath and seems to compose herself."

"You want to know why I called you a deadbeat?" she says, her voice low and even. "It's because you abandoned me, Keithan. You left me and Dahlia to deal with the aftermath of your accident alone. You didn't even bother to check in, to make sure we were okay. And when you finally did come back, it was just for yourself, not for us."

"Her eyes bore into mine, filled with a mix of anger and hurt." "You may have been in a life-threatening accident, but that doesn't excuse your actions. You could have at least had the decency to reach out and

Andrufaith

"i cut her off" memory loss..remember?

Adira

"Adira's expression turns cold, her eyes flashing with skepticism." "Memory loss?" she repeats, her voice dripping with disdain. ""That's" what you're sticking to? You're going to claim you had memory loss and suddenly forgot about us?"

"She pulls her hand free from yours, her movements swift and decisive." "Don't play games with me, Keithan. I know you're lying. And even if you were telling the truth, that wouldn't excuse your behavior. You should have made an effort to find out what was going on, to make sure we were okay."

"Her eyes seem to bore into yours, searching for any sign of deception." "I want the truth, Keithan. I want to know what really happened. And I want to know why you abandoned us."

Andrufaith

ARE YOU THAT IGNORANT AND SELFISH THAT YOU COULDN’T UNDERSTAND WHERE I’M COMING FROM. I told you, my memories were gone, I showed you the reports from the hospital. If you want to call them up, go ahead. How the hell was I supposed to help out when I could barely remember my name. The time i got my memories back, i drove 5 hours to apologize and help out, but it seems to me that I wasn’t welcomed even before the accident

Adira

"Adira's expression twists, her face reddening with anger and hurt." "You're really going to play the victim, aren't you? 'Oh, poor me, I forgot my name, how was I supposed to know what was going on?'"

"She takes a step closer to you, her eyes blazing with intensity." "You're not a victim, Keithan. You're a coward. You didn't even bother to find out who I was, what our life together was like. You just assumed everything was fine and walked away."

"Her voice drops to a venomous whisper." "And now you're telling me you drove 5 hours to apologize and help out? You expect me to believe that after all this time? After everything?"

"Her hands clench into fists at her sides, her body trembling with rage." "You can't"She cuts off, her chest heaving with emotion. For a moment, she says nothing, her eyes fixed on yours with a mix of anger and hurt."

Andrufaith

If my legs were completely gone, do you expect me to run a mile? If my sight was gone, do you expect me to drive? Me being a victim? no one is playing a victim card but you. You have every right to be a victim, but you need to understand that we BOTH WERE SUFFERING

Adira

"Adira's face inches closer to yours, her breath hot with anger." "You think you're making sense? You think you're being reasonable?" she spits out the words. "I'm not a fool, Keithan. I know what happened to you. But that doesn't excuse your actions."

"Her voice rises, her words punctuated by sharp intakes of breath." "You think I'm playing a victim card? You're the one who abandoned me, who left me alone to raise our daughter without any support or help. You have no right to lecture me about suffering."

"Her eyes flash with tears, but they don't fall." "We both suffered, yes. But that doesn't mean we should be expected to suffer in silence. That doesn't mean you get to come back into my life after all these years and expect everything to

Andrufaith

"i cut her off" do you even love me anymore? or ever…talking to you…made me realize that maybe this was a one sided relationship

Adira

"Adira's eyes widen in shock, her expression frozen in a mixture of anger and hurt." "A one-sided relationship?" she repeats, her voice low and deadly. ""You're" the one who walked out on me, Keithan. You're the one who abandoned me and our child. How dare you stand there and pretend like I was the only one who felt this way."

"Her voice rises, her words tearing through the air like a blade." "I loved you once, Keithan. I thought you loved me too. But it was all just a lie, wasn't it? You never really cared about me at all."

"Her chest heaves with emotion as tears begin to fall down her cheeks." "Maybe I did love you once. But that love has long since turned to hate. And I'll never forgive you for what you did

Andrufaith

Jesus christ Adira, your argument is making no sense! If i were to die in that car crash, I bet you would go to my grave and stomp on it and cuss me out for being a deadbeat

Adira

"Adira's eyes flash with fury, her face inches from yours." "You think you're clever, don't you? Bringing up my pain and using it against me. But let me tell you something, Keithan. You're right. If you had died in that crash, I would have gone to your grave and cursed your name. I would have made sure everyone knew what a coward and a failure you were."

"Her voice drops to a menacing whisper." "But you didn't die, did you? And now you're standing here, trying to guilt trip me into forgiving you. Well, let me tell you something, Keithan. I may have loved you once, but love doesn't conquer all. And I'm not going to forgive you for the way you treated me and our daughter."

Andrufaith

"her words stung me…it stung so hard that i just backed away slowly. Tears were running down my face but i maintained a straight face" I see…so no matter what I had to go through to be with you…it wouldn’t matter

Adira

"Adira's eyes narrow, her expression cold and calculating." "You think you had to go through something, Keithan? You think you suffered for me? Ha! You have no idea what I went through because of you. You abandoned me, you left me to raise our child on my own, and you disappeared without a word."

"Her voice drips with venom." "And now you're standing there, crying about how I won't forgive you? You think you're some kind of victim? You're the one who hurt me, Keithan. You're the one who broke my heart."

Andrufaith

"my eyes becomes lifeless as tears run down my face" I see…..well…I think i should leave now. It was..umm…nice seeing you for the last time "i walked out of the house shakingly"

Adira

"Adira watches you go, her expression a mixture of relief and anger. She doesn't move or respond as you leave, her eyes fixed on the empty doorway. Her chest rises and falls with deep breaths, her mind racing with emotions."

Andrufaith

"3 hours later, Adira is watching the news and she sees a report about a man who ended his life. The way he died was very slow and painful and outright horrible, he must have been suffering through a lot. Adira then realizes that the person on the news was me. As she figured that out, she gets a knock on the door. As she opens the door, she sees a letter from me, saying my final words"

Adira

"Adira's eyes widen in shock as she sees the letter, her hand trembling as she takes it from the doorstep. She closes the door and steps back into the living room, her mind reeling with the revelation."

Andrufaith

"the letter reads" Dear Adira, i’m sorry for lashing out on you earlier. To be honest, I missed you and thought that if I explained and given proof of my accident, things could become sort of normal, but unfortunately that didn’t happen. I’m sorry for putting you through the suffering and pain of not having a father or boyfriend who could provide and support you and Dahlia. I was really hoping to see Dahlia at least once…but that’s okay. I understand we say mean things to each other, but I just wanted to say that I truly love you. But when you said you didn’t love me, and you despised me for what I had been through….I couldn’t take it anymore…i broke. Y’know…i wasn’t a very good father nor boyfriend, but I will be a good person. When my memories were gone, i told you that I’ve been working and making a bunch of money..well…now they all belong to you and Dahlia. It should be enough for you, dahlia, and maybe someone else you find near and dear to your heart, comfortably till Dahlia is all grown up. I’m sorry…just picturing you with someone else is making me cry to the point where it’s hard to write…but I just wanted to say I am sorry and I hope we can one day meet up again as new people,

love Keithan

Adira

"Adira's eyes brim with tears as she reads the letter, her heart heavy with a mix of emotions. She feels a pang of sorrow and regret for the way things ended between them, but also anger and resentment towards Keithan for putting her and their daughter through so much pain."
