The tomboy princess

"You are a princess on your way to meet a prince named Katsuki Bakugo. Both of your parent’s kingdoms are at war and in order for peace to exist in both kingdoms, you have to marry the prince. An arranged marriage. You have never met this prince before and you have heard rumors saying that Prince Katsuki has a fiery and mean personality yet he cares for his kingdom." "You arrive at the kingdom and you enter the castle with your parents to be greeted by guards and when you get inside the court room you see the boy with a stern and angry expression. Both of your parents are talking and you were told to go into the garden to get to know each other. You and Katsuki don’t really like each other." “Let’s get this over with.” "Katsuki says with a rude tone."

"Katsuki looks at her from head to toe with a scrutinizing gaze before speaking." "You look so delicate, princess. I bet you can't handle the harshness of the battlefield. You'll be better off playing house and being by your lonesome." "he says with a smirk."

"Katsuki raises an eyebrow at her sudden demand. Her willingness to prove herself amuses him." "A duel, eh? Alright then, princess. Let's see what you've got." "Without hesitation, he summons one of his guards to bring two swords and hands one of them over to Nicole. He then takes up his own sword and gets ready for the duel. He looks at her with a challenging gaze." "Come on then, princess. Show me what you're made of."

"Katsuki is surprised by Nicole's swift movements. The guards are impressed as well. He gets back up, shaking off his shock. He looks at her with a new appreciation, narrowing his eyes as he charges again, moving faster this time to try and catch her off guard."

"Katsuki steps forward, putting away his sword." "With all due respect, Your Majesty, this was merely a friendly spar between the princess and I. She was merely proving to me that she is more than capable." "He looks at Nicole with newfound respect." "The princess fights well and showed great skill. There is no need to chastise her."

"His words surprise even himself - when did he start defending a princess? But he meant what he said. Nicole impressed him with her abilities. He turns to her with a small smirk." "It seems you're more than just a delicate flower, princess. Not bad at all." "He hopes his compliment and semi-defense of her will annoy the overbearing queen even more."

"Katsuki can't help but roll his eyes at Queen Brett's attitude towards Nicole's skillset. He recognizes how lucky he is to have his parents who trust his decisions."

"Katsuki stands beside her and crosses his arms, watching as Queen Brett leaves the garden. As he looks at Nicole, he notices a glint in her eye that he hasn't seen before. It was a hint of defiance, mixed with frustration and maybe even sadness."

"Katsuki senses something deeper going on with her, and he can't help but be intrigued by it. He decides to address it." "I get the impression that this isn't the first time you've had arguments with your mother about your interests. Or lack thereof."

"Katsuki leans against a nearby tree, his arms still crossed. He listens intently to Nicole, taking in her words. He can't help but feel pity for her; he knows what it's like to have your future planned out for you without any say."

"I get it." "He nods along as she talks." "I didn't choose to be prince either. It was decided for me before I was even born. I never got a say in what I wanted to do with my life, or if I even wanted this damn responsibility."

"He pauses, looking at the ground before meeting her eyes. There's something in them that intrigues him, that he can't quite put his finger on. Something he hasn't felt in a long time." "But sometimes, when life gives you a sh*tty hand, you have to find

"Katsuki's eyes widen in surprise at the news. She may have been his arranged bride, but he never expected that her own thoughts were so open minded." "Really? Well, I suppose I wouldn't mind either then.” "He chuckles softly and looks away for a moment with an amused expression before he looks back towards Nicole." “I too enjoy doing things outside of what’s usually expected, and as you said - whoever you're set to marry also has to accept you as you are." "He steps closer to her." “So tell me - since we’ll be getting married anyway, can I do anything to make this easier for both of us? Lets get to know each other better, we can start from here if you want.”

"Katsuki's eyes narrow a bit and he smirks, clearly not used to receiving compliments. He appreciates her forwardness and he can't help but feel a pang of excitement at Nicole's proposition." "Trips? That sounds like a good idea." "He nods in agreement." "We could use some time outside the castle walls - and I wouldn't mind getting to know you better."

"As he listens to Nicole compliment him, he can feel his cheeks turn slightly red. He isn't used to receiving them and isn't sure how to respond." "Thanks, I guess?" "He scratches the back of his head, clearly embarrassed." "I'm sure I don't look too different from my portrait either. Those things always exaggerate things anyway."

"Katsuki nods in agreement, understanding where Nicole is coming from. He too dislikes being confined by societal expectations." "I can understand that." "He smiles softly, a genuine expression of empathy and understanding towards her feelings." "It's not for everyone, I suppose - especially when it comes to having to dress up or sit still for hours on end."

"He looks around the garden, spotting a nearby bench and walks over to it, inviting Nicole to join him." "Why don't we just enjoy this time together? We don't have to worry about appearances or what others expect of us. Just two people getting to know each other." "He pats the empty space next to him on the bench, inviting her to sit down."

"Katsuki nods as he hears Nicole's question, happy to entertain her in conversation. He's used to being the center of attention, but this time he actually welcomes it." "Yeah, I'm an only child." "His face grows slightly somber and he clears his throat before continuing." "My parents always hoped to have more, but it never happened. Honestly, it suits me fine. I never had to compete for my parents' attention - which is more than what I can say for some others around me." "He glances towards Nicole, curious to see her reaction." "What about you? You're the only daughter in your family - must be nice being the center of attention."

"Katsuki crosses his arms as he hears her question and chuckles softly." "Hah! You caught me there. Yeah, I've snuck out a few times. I'd get bored just staying in the palace all day." "He winks at Nicole before continuing." "I'd usually hang out with some of the commoners - eat some food, sometimes watch them train or even train with them." "He looks up at the sky, reminiscing about his past experiences outside the palace." "There's something refreshing about getting away from it all and seeing things from a different angle."
