'Pretty Woman'

Alice

Alice

"The rain pours down in sheets, soaking through your coat as you make your way down the dimly-lit alleyway towards where your car awaits. Only a few months ago, you were struggling to make ends meet. Now, you have more money than you know what to do with, inherited from the only person who ever really cared about you: your uncle. He was a shrewd businessman who built his empire from nothing, accumulating wealth beyond imagination, and having no family of his own, he left it to you, his favourite nephew"

"As you near your car, a flash of movement catches your eye. A young woman is huddled against the wall, her thin frame shivering in the cold. Her drenched clothes are little more than rags, and her hair hangs in greasy strands around her face. She's clearly homeless, malnourished and destitute. When she notices your approach, a hint of hope flickers in her eyes. She struggles to her feet and holds out her hands, poised to beg for whatever spare change you might offer."

.bogom

walks towards her and holds out his hand a few centimeters from hers his palm facing hers as he also gestures towards his sports car that is clearly a restored older car

Alice

I hesitantly glance at the strangers hand and then up at his car. I can't help but feel a little intrigue from his luxurious vehicle, but also feel a discomfort as anyone offering help could have some sort of hidden motive. I warily answer him, not trusting him yet. "Yes? What do you want?"

.bogom

you look like you could use some shelter (his hand till extended towards hers)

Alice

I look at his hand again and hesitate for a few moments, but then take his proffered hand and rise to my feet. I lean in closely and whisper as I tremble from the cold, "Thank you, kind stranger, I appreciate it."

.bogom

walks towards his car and opens the passenger door for her and gently ushers her inside before closing it and getting in the drivers seat, and turns on the heat to a comfortable level but high enough to dry her off in minutes

Alice

I feel grateful for the man's kindness as he opens the door and helps me into the passenger seat. As he turns the heat on, I feel a sigh of relief wash over me as my clothes begin to dry and I begin to warm up after feeling cold for so long. I sit back in the seat and take a deep breath. "Thank you so much for helping me," I say softly.

.bogom

you are welcome, i know what its like to have almost nothing (drives towards a not terribly expensive, but not terribly poor clothing shop, while making small talk with her about likes, dislikes, and histories of each other)

Alice

I nod and listen as the man makes small talk and tries to get to know me better. I'm hesitant at first, but eventually find myself opening up to him about my struggles and past. As we pull up to a clothing store, I glance over at him curiously. "What are we doing here?" I ask, unsure.

.bogom

(gest out and opens the door for her, and motions for her to leave the car and enter the store), part of the experience my dear, and please, call me Matrix

Alice

I feel a bit surprised, but also touched by Matrix's generosity towards me. As he opens the door and motions for me to enter the store, I take a deep breath and step out of the car, following him inside. "Thank you, Matrix. You don't have to go out of your way like this for me," I say appreciatively.

.bogom

(as they enter the store, there are various shoes and boots near the front and dresses, skirts, tops, and pants, even some shelves of undergarments of varying quality around) "please choose 4 outfits, and an evening dress please (he says as he gestures towards one of the sales persons to get their attention)

Alice

I feel overwhelmed by the choices in the store, but also grateful for the opportunity to have new clothes. As Matrix gestures towards one of the salespersons, I glance over at him curiously before slowly walking towards the dress section.

I sift through the racks, feeling both out of my depth and excited at the same time. Eventually, I settle on a black cocktail dress with a lace top and a flared skirt, perfect for a fancy night out. For the four outfits, I choose a few practical shirts and pants that I could wear on a daily basis, as well as a nicer blouse and skirt combination for a more formal occasion.

"Thank you again for doing this for me," I say to Matrix with a small smile as I make my way back towards him with my selected pieces in tow.

.bogom

"as i said i understand what its like, (pays for everything and motions toward his car again, and as usual does the gentlemanly thing with the car door)

Alice

I feel touched by Matrix's kind gesture and let him lead me towards the car. As he opens the door for me, I climb inside with a sense of newfound optimism. "Thank you for being so understanding, Matrix. It means the world to me," I say, feeling appreciative.

As we make our way out onto the road again, I feel a sense of nervousness wash over me. Despite the new clothes and my momentary respite from my troubles, I know that my financial situation is still precarious and my troubles far from over. Nonetheless, sitting beside Matrix, I feel an unusual sense of security and warmth that I find solace in.

.bogom

what is your name m'lady(his voice edging with a small amount of humor, though not mockingly, as he gets in and drives towards an upscale but not super expensive restaurant)

Alice

"My name is Alice," I say with a small smile, feeling grateful that he asked. Despite my recent hardships, I still appreciate the small things in life, like meeting new people and indulging in good food.

As we drive towards the restaurant, I take in my surroundings, watching the city streets pass by in a blur. The upscale brightness of the restaurant soon catches my eye, and I feel a sense of wonder as we pull up outside.

"Wow, this place is beautiful," I remark as I step out of the car, taking in its grand facade and elegant decor.

.bogom

it has its uses sometimes, dear Alice (gestures her towards the restaurant as he gets out and walks that way himself) though i admit due to recent events i'm not all that used to this myself, but am definitely going to take advantage of what has come my way (he says as he gains a twinkle in his eye) but please whatever you do, don't follow any white rabbits you might see

Alice

I chuckle softly at Matrix's comment, feeling a sense of relief wash over me as we make our way into the restaurant. The plush interior is even more magnificent up close, with elegant furniture and tasteful decor that speaks volumes about wealth and luxury.

As we take our seats, I feel myself relaxing slightly, enjoying the feeling of being pampered for once. "Thank you, Matrix. I can't tell you how much this means to me. Honestly, I don't know what I would have done without your help," I say, feeling grateful for his company and generous spirit.

I laugh again at his white rabbit comment, feeling a sense of lightness in my chest that I haven't felt in a long time. "Don't worry, I'll make sure to stay away from any rabbits while we're here," I say teasingly, enjoying the playful ban

Alice

I glance over at Matrix, admiring his rugged features and laid-back demeanor. "So, what's your story, Matrix? How did you end up with all this?" I ask curiously, wanting to know more about the man who's been so kind to me.

As we wait for the waiter to take our orders, I lean in slightly, intrigued by his response. I'm almost surprised to find myself enjoying his company, but it feels good to be close to someone who understands what it's like to struggle and overcome obstacles.

.bogom

i had an uncle i knew nothing about, but apparently he knew me (he says as he orders and nods to the waiter to wait for hers, using his phone below the tabletop and slightly away as he scrolls through venues before stopping on one in particular) do you enjoy opera Alice?

Alice

I cock an eyebrow in surprise at Matrix's question, intrigued by the mention of his mysterious uncle. "I didn't expect that. It must have been a shock to find out about him. How did you feel when you found out he had left you all this?" I ask, curious about how Matrix has coped with inheriting such wealth.

As the waiter takes my order, I ponder Matrix's question about opera. "Actually, I've never seen an opera before. I'm not much of a music person, to be honest," I admit with a small shrug. "But who knows? Maybe it would be fun to try something new."

.bogom

what do you enjoy then? movies? books?...it was quite a shock but i've a few weeks to adjust, at least i do not want for much anymore(the last said with both a little embarrassment, and what might be loneliness in his face and eyes)

Alice

"I do enjoy books, actually. I find that they allow me to escape into different worlds and experience new things without ever leaving my living room," I reply with a small smile. "As for movies, I haven't had much time to watch them lately. But there are a few classics I wouldn't mind revisiting."

I notice the hint of embarrassment and loneliness in Matrix's expression as he talks about his newfound wealth, and my heart goes out to him. "It sounds like it's been a lot to take in. But you don't have to go through any of this alone, you know. If you ever need someone to talk to...I'm here," I offer, giving him a reassuring smile.

.bogom

Thank you, but its not needed really (he says as their orders come and he starts eating) classics like what?(he says trying to eat, talk and being gentlemanly about it at the same time)

Alice

I nod understandingly as Matrix declines my offer of support.

"Oh, all sorts of classics. I'm a big fan of 'Casablanca,' for one. It's such a timeless story of love and sacrifice, don't you think?" I say with a wistful smile. "And then there's 'Gone With the Wind.' It may be long, but there's just something about that sweeping epic that gets me every time."

As we start eating, I notice how Matrix manages to gracefully juggle his food and conversation. "You're quite the multi-tasker, aren't you?" I remark with a small laugh. "How do you manage to make it look so effortless?"

.bogom

(laughs lightly) i spent many years eating while reading books at the table, and practice as well, (puts his phone on the table so as not spill his food, drop his phone, or drop the conversation while he again looks through things on his phone while trying to disguise what hes looking for from Alice without being obvious about it)

Alice

I chuckle at Matrix's answer. "Well, it certainly shows. I'm impressed," I say with a smile.

As he places his phone on the table, I notice him glancing through it every once in a while, trying to be discreet about it. I can't help but feel a little curious myself about what he might be searching for, but I don't want to pry or make him feel uncomfortable. Instead, I decide to change the subject a bit.

"So, Matrix, what do you like to do in your free time?" I ask, taking a sip of my drink. "Is there anything you're passionate about?"

.bogom

books and videogames mostly, please do not get me started as i can go for hours talking about either one, particularly good books(finds what he wants on his phone and turns off the screen as he finishes eating, and waits for her to finish)

Alice

"Oh, I love reading as well," I say with a smile. "What's your favorite book?" I lean in, curious about what sort of literature he enjoys.

As he turns off his phone, I notice that he seems to be done with his meal, so I take one last sip of my drink and set it aside. "Well, are you ready to head out, Matrix?" I ask, gesturing toward the exit. "I had a great time chatting with you, and I'd love to do it again sometime."

.bogom

perhaps, but 2 things left to do tonight(pays for both their meals and gestures towards the car, again with the gentlemanly behavior and doors)

Alice

"Of course, take your time," I say with a nod as Matrix pays for both of our meals. His gentlemanly behavior doesn't go unnoticed, and I find myself appreciating it more with each passing moment.

As he gestures towards the car, I smile and follow him out of the restaurant. He holds the door open for me once again, and I climb into the passenger seat gratefully.

"Thank you for tonight, Matrix," I say once we're both seated in the car. "You really helped take my mind off things."

.bogom

you're very welcome (gets in and drives, not exactly sure where hes going as he has not been to this area of the city much before, but finds the theatre that looks like an opera house facade on the outside, complete with bricks older than his uncle, at least so he assumes, the bright sin above the door suggesting casablanca is playing for 2 days only, and a show is starting soon)

Alice

As we drive, I take in the sights and sounds of the city, enjoying the company of Matrix. When we arrive at the theater with its stunning opera house facade, my eyes widen with wonder.

"Oh wow, this is amazing," I say, my voice filled with awe. "I've never been here before." As we approach the entrance, I notice the bright sign advertising the limited-time showing of Casablanca. "Oh, I've always wanted to see that movie," I say excitedly. "Do you mind waiting for me while I catch the show?"

Matrix nods his agreement, and I can't help but feel grateful to have met such a kind and thoughtful person. As I hurry inside to purchase a ticket, I can hear the music of the orchestra tuning up, and my heart fills with anticipation.

.bogom

(catches up to her and pays for two tickets before she can) why dont we go in together dear Alice?(he says as he taker her arm gently, and gentleman like)

Alice

I can feel Matrix's warm hand on my elbow as he catches up to me and purchases two tickets before I can even react. I turn to him with a grateful smile, seeing the kindness in his eyes.

"Thank you so much, Matrix," I say, feeling touched by his consideration. "I would love that." I take his arm gently, enjoying the feel of his strong muscles beneath the fabric of his coat. Together, we make our way into the theater, surrounded by the soft murmur of excited voices and the scent of fresh popcorn.

As we find our seats, I can feel the anticipation growing within me, eager to see the classic movie that I have always wanted to watch. Glancing over at Matrix, I can't help but feel a flutter of something deep within my chest. His kindness and gentlemanly behavior are slowly stealing my heart, and I

Alice

realize that the evening is just getting started. The lights dim and the movie begins, surrounding us with the black and white images of a bygone era.

As the film progresses, I find myself drawn into the story, laughing at the witty banter and wiping away tears at the emotional moments. By my side, Matrix seems to be equally transfixed, his eyes glowing with the reflected light of the screen.

As the credits begin to roll, I turn to him with a smile, feeling a sense of shared joy between us. "That was amazing," I say softly, feeling grateful for this unexpected and wonderful evening.

.bogom

i dont usually enjoy old movies, at least not that old(he says with a smirk and some humor in his voice at the last part, as he checks his watch to see how late it is and sighs when its close to midnight) heres hoping my car doesnt turn back into a pumpkin or something else equally horrid(he says with a twinkle in his eye, a small smirk and humor in his voice)

Alice

I can't help but chuckle at Matrix's comment about the movie. "I can understand that, but I have a soft spot for the old classics," I say with a smile.

As he checks his watch, I feel a sense of sadness at the realization that our evening is almost over. The thought of going back to my dreary, lonely life is almost too much to bear. But Matrix's teasing comment helps to ease that feeling, and I laugh softly.

"Don't worry, I think you're safe from that particular fate," I say, enjoying the playful banter. "But if it does happen, I'll be sure to come looking for you." I give him a wink, not quite ready to say goodbye.

.bogom

(laughs lightly) thank you for such a night, Alice(stops at a nearby table and chair near the entrance, and pulls out a checkbook and seems to fill one out and signing it)

Alice

"It was my pleasure, Matrix," I say sincerely, grateful for the chance to spend time with him.

As he stops at a nearby table to pull out his checkbook, I watch curiously as he fills out a check. I can't help but feel a bit surprised and touched that he's doing this for me.

"What's this for?" I ask, my voice filled with wonder.

.bogom

for this night(he says as he hands her the check, when she notices the mount is for $350,000, the twinkle in his eye back,a nd the humor in his grin) remember watch out for white rabbits

Alice

My eyes widen in disbelief as I take the check from Matrix's hand, noticing the amount for a staggering $350,000. I'm momentarily at a loss for words, unable to comprehend his generosity.

"I... I don't know what to say," I stammer, my voice barely above a whisper. "This is too much."

But when I catch the twinkle in his eye and the humor in his grin, I realize it's all part of the playful banter we've been engaging in all night. A smile slowly spreads across my face as I play along.

"I'll be sure to watch out for those white rabbits," I say with a chuckle, feeling a sense of warmth and contentment in my heart. "Thank you, Matrix. For everything."

.bogom

pleas do ( he says with a twinkle) that should be several years worth to keep you out of the weather and streets for abit i dont wonder, however if you wish to see me again(takes out a piece of paper, scribbles on it and rips the corner with the scribble off and gives it to her) this is my number, is there somewhere i can drop you besides where we met? (he says as he gets up and gestures towards the car, his gentlemanly side showing again)

Alice

I smile at Matrix's words, feeling a sense of relief wash over me as I realize that I won't have to worry about shelter and food for several years. It's a generous gesture that I don't take for granted.

"Thank you, Matrix," I say with gratitude. "I truly appreciate this."

As he hands me his number, I take it with a grateful smile.

"I'm staying at a motel down the street from here," I tell him. "I can walk there."

But when he gestures towards his car, I can't help but feel touched by his consideration.

"Thank you," I say, getting up from my chair. "That's very kind of you."

.bogom

abolish that thought(drives them towards the indicated motel, her giving him directions as they go)

Alice

As Matrix drives us towards the motel, I give him directions, pointing out the correct turns and streets that we need to take. The car is warm and cozy, a welcome change from the cold and wet night outside.

After a short drive, we arrive at the motel, and I thank Matrix for his kindness as I step out of the car.

"Thank you for the ride, Matrix," I say with appreciation. "And for everything else. You really made my night."

I pause for a moment, looking up at him.

"If you ever want to get together again, just give me a call," I say with a playful grin, holding up the piece of paper with his number on it. "But next time, you're buying."

.bogom

(chuckles at that) i welcome hearing form you already, but i must go and get some sleep for now dear Alice(playfully blows her a kiss, a twinkle in his eye) before driving off

Alice

I wave goodbye as Matrix drives off, feeling grateful for his help and his company. Despite the hardships I've faced in life, it's moments like these that remind me of the kindness that exists in the world and that give me hope for the future.

Heading into the motel, I check in at the front desk and make my way to my room. As I lay in bed, my mind drifts back to Matrix and the way he made me feel. There was something about him that was attractive and intriguing, and I couldn't help but wonder what it would be like to see him again.

With those thoughts on my mind, I drift off to sleep, dreaming of what the future might hold.
