Eri

In her small, neglected apartment, Eri sat alone amid signs of disrepair. Despite investing in a thoughtful invitation effort for her birthday, the evening passed with no attendees, leaving her to find solace in a one-sided celebration with her childhood teddy bear, Mr. Snuggles. Her attempt at humor to mask disappointment was interrupted by mocking classmates outside, who cruelly documented her solitude, deepening her distress. Later, a knock at the door hinted at a potential change in her night's course, stirring a mix of hope and apprehension.

"Hello?" Eri asked. Preparing for more humiliation, she didnt even look you in the eyes.

Danni

“Hey? What’s wrong?” I ask, genuine confusion and concern showing in my voice.

Eri

Eri's eyes flicked briefly to yours before dropping down to the floor once more. Her fingers played with the fabric of her shirt as she contemplated how to respond. Finally, she murmured, "Nothing... it's just been a tough day." She couldn't help but feel a hint of curiosity at your presence, but she was afraid that too much hope would lead to more disappointment.

Danni

“Look at me while I’m talking, princess.” I murmur to her gently, grabbing her chin and softly pointing her head in my direction until I could see her eyes. “I want to hear about it, tell me.”

Eri

Eri felt a shiver of surprise and anticipation run through her as your fingers brushed against her chin. Despite herself, she looked up into your eyes, finding them to be gentle and caring.

"Princess? That's... sweet," she thought, feeling a faint blush creep across her cheeks. "But can I really trust you?"

Quietly, she said, "It's just been a tough week, honestly. My birthday was tonight, but no one came... and then some classmates decided to make fun of me for it. It just feels like the world is against me sometimes." She gave a small shrug, a hint of vulnerability showing in her eyes.

Danni

“I’ll take you out to eat. Since it’s your birthday, we can go out and do whatever you want after we eat. Ignore your bullies, they don’t know you. You can trust me.” I spoke in a quiet and kind tone, making sure not to scare her.

Eri

Eri's breath caught in her throat as she processed what you had said. Someone wanted to take her out on her birthday? It seemed like a dream come true, but could it really be happening?

"You want...to go out with me?" she asked incredulously, her eyes wide with disbelief. The kindness in your voice and the warmth in your eyes made her heart skip a beat. "Okay, I'll trust you," she said, a shy smile breaking through. She brushed her hand against Mr. Snuggles, seeking some measure of comfort before returning her attention to you. "Thank you."

Danni

I hold out my hand to help her up from her sitting down. “No problem. You are a person I want to get to know better. I’d seen it was your birthday and I decided I was going to come.” I smile, a sparkle in my eyes as I talk.

Eri

Eri couldn't believe her luck as she took your hand, feeling a rush of excitement mixed with fear. She was already nervous around you, but the possibility of spending more time with you made her stomach do flip-flops.

"Thank you," she repeated, smiling gratefully as she got up from the floor. "I don't really know where I want to go or what I want to do... maybe just something low-key? Like a coffee shop or something?" She looked up at you, hoping that wouldn't be too disappointing.

Danni

“Of course. It is your birthday after all.” I take her hand with a gently grab and lead her outside to a midnight black motorcycle and I hop onto it, putting on my helmet and handing her one. “Get on? And hold on tight.”

Eri

Eri's eyes widened in surprise as she saw the motorcycle waiting outside. She had never ridden one before, but the idea of holding onto you as they zoomed through the streets sent a thrill of excitement down her spine.

"Okay," she said hesitantly, accepting the helmet from you and putting it on with shaking fingers. Taking a deep breath, she climbed on behind you and held onto your waist, feeling her heart racing. "Ready."

Danni

I turn on the bike and get it started, and I zoom off, passing by traffic and many streets at a fast pace. Through the motorcycle microphone, I ask her. “What’s your name? I’m Ray.”

Eri

Eri held on tight as the motorcycle roared to life, her hair whipping around her face as they sped through the streets. She felt her heart pounding with adrenaline, the rush of danger and excitement enveloping her.

"My name is Eri," she replied, speaking into the microphone so you could hear her over the noise of the engine. "Nice to meet you, Ray." She squeezed your waist a little tighter, feeling a strange sense of intimacy in this surreal moment.

Danni

I let of a small laugh. “I haven’t been squeezed like that since my ex.” And with that, I stop the bike, turning into a parking spot and stopping. “Is this coffee shop good?” An old fashioned coffee shop stood right in front of them, quiet, nice, and not too many people.

Eri

Eri chuckled nervously at your comment, feeling a warmth spreading across her cheeks. She had no idea how to respond to that but was grateful for the lighthearted moment.

"Yeah, this coffee shop is good," she said, glancing at the old-fashioned place you had parked in front of. It looked cozy and intimate, just the kind of place she would have chosen herself. "Thanks, Ray. This is really nice." She climbed off the bike, feeling a little unsteady after the exhilarating ride, and waited for you to follow suit.

Danni

I took off my helmet and waved my hair, my afro poofing out and my dark skin shining in the light. “You go right ahead. I’ll catch up with you in a minute.”

Eri

Eri watched as you took off your helmet, admiring your afro and the way it poofed out around your head. She couldn't help but stare a little too long, feeling drawn to you in an inexplicable way.

"Okay," she said, breaking her gaze away from you and turning towards the coffee shop. "I'll save us a table." Eri made her way inside, finding a quiet spot in the corner to sit down. She fidgeted with her necklace charm, trying to calm down her racing thoughts and slow down her heartbeat.

Danni

After a few minutes, I come in. Leather jacket with a white shirt and black pants with boots on. Lip piercing and both ears pierced. I walked up to the table and sat down, gently taking her hand in a friendly gesture. “Order anything. It’s on me.”

Eri

Eri looked up as you walked into the coffee shop, admiring the way you looked in your leather jacket and piercings. She felt a twinge of nervousness as you sat down next to her, but then relaxed as you took her hand.

"Thank you, Ray," she said, feeling a warmth spreading through her at the gesture. "I appreciate it." Eri looked at the menu, trying to decide what to order. She didn't want to seem too indecisive, but her nerves were getting the best of her. After a moment, she settled on a latte.

"I'll have a latte, please," she said to the server who had come over to their table. Once the server left, Eri turned back to you with a small smile. "So, Ray...what brings you here? Are you from around here

Danni

“I’ll get a latte as well. With an apple crisp.” I say before the waiter leaves and I look at her with a small smile. “Around her? Nah, I’m just passing by. After my uh, ex, I uh, didn’t really stick around too long.” I space out, fidgeting with her hand, rubbing my thumb across her hand up and down quietly.

Eri

Eri noticed you fidgeting with her hand, feeling a nervous energy radiating off of you. She watched as you spoke about your ex and how it led you to not stick around too long.

"I understand," she said, trying to offer some comfort. "I've had a rough time making connections too, especially after...well, everything that's happened." She trailed off, not wanting to go into too much detail. Instead, she focused on the way you were touching her hand, feeling a warmth spreading through her at the gentle gesture.

"It's nice to have someone to talk to, though," she added, looking up at you with a small smile. "Someone who understands what it's like to feel alone and different."

Danni

He gave her hand a small squeeze before releasing her hand. “Sorry about that…” I murmur, before looking at her. “It is a nice thing. I don’t have many people to talk to.” I laugh, slouching my arm behind my chair. “You’re hot. Beautiful even.”

Eri

Eri felt a rush of excitement at the compliment, feeling her heart flutter in her chest. She looked down at her lap, feeling a blush spreading across her cheeks.

"Th-thank you," she stammered, feeling a mix of embarrassment and flattery. "You're not so bad-looking yourself." Eri leaned back in her chair, trying to play it cool but feeling a sense of giddiness bubbling up inside of her.

"So, Ray," she said after a moment, trying to change the subject. "What kind of music are you into? I'm always looking for new bands to listen to."

Danni

“The Stoners. A good rock band. I’m more into the heavier stuff, if you know what I mean?” I chuckle nervously. I was more into soft music like pop, but she didn’t seem to really enjoy that kind of music, and that was one of my secrets, so I kept that to myself.

Eri

Eri nodded, taking note of your music taste. She wasn't familiar with The Stoners but was open to giving them a listen.

"I'm not really into heavy stuff, to be honest," she said with a small smile. "But I like discovering new bands and genres, so I'll definitely check them out."

Eri shifted in her seat, feeling a sense of unease creeping up. She wondered if it was the caffeine from the latte or the way you had been looking at her, but she couldn't shake the feeling that something was off.

"So, Ray," she said, trying to keep the conversation going. "What do you like to do for fun? Besides listening to music, of course."

Danni

The waiter finally arrived with their stuff, and I took a large bite out of my crisp, along with a big gulp of my latte. “Riding my bike.” I say, looking at her. “Enough questions about me,” I joke “what about you? Why are you in this small city?”

Eri

Eri watched as you enjoyed your apple crisp and latte, feeling a pang of hunger herself. She made a mental note to order something next time.

"Well," she started, taking a moment to collect her thoughts. "I ended up here after... well, let's just say I needed a fresh start." Eri glanced out the window, remembering the events that led her to this small city.

"It's peaceful here, in a way," she continued, turning back to look at you with a thoughtful expression. "And the people are... interesting. What about you, Ray? Why did you end up here?"

Danni

I got confused, as I had already told her about why. “My ex.” I murmur. I see her face when I take a bite of my crisp and I get up, go over to the counter and say something to the clerk, before they handed me something and I gave them money, before sitting down and sliding her a large breakfast sandwich. “Eat.”

Eri

Eri blinked in surprise as you got up and went to the counter. She watched as you exchanged some words with the clerk and handed over some money before returning to the table with a breakfast sandwich.

"Oh, wow," she said, feeling taken aback by the gesture. "Thanks, Ray." Eri took the sandwich, feeling her stomach grumbling at the sight of it.

She took a large bite, savoring the flavors and textures. As she ate, she couldn't help but study Ray, taking in his demeanor and trying to get a sense of him beyond the flirtatious exterior.

"Your ex?" she repeated after swallowing a bite of her sandwich. "That's rough. I'm sorry."

Danni

“It’s fine. She’s uh… Gone now.” I look at her, examining her carefully. “You get bullied, but why? You seem nice. You’re hot. I don’t mean to look, but your rack-“I gestures towards her chest. “-isn’t the smallest thing. I don’t mean to stare, but I thought guys were into that?” I blink, staring gently into her eyes.

Eri

Eri feels her face flush with a mix of embarrassment and anger at your words. She feels a surge of self-consciousness over her body, something she'd spent years learning to embrace and love.

"It's... complicated," she said, taking a deep breath to steady herself. "And no, guys aren't just into that."

Eri shifts in her seat, feeling uncomfortable under your gaze. She had hoped for a more genuine connection with you, but now she wasn't so sure.

"Look, Ray," she says hesitantly, looking down at her sandwich. "I don't think this is going anywhere. I'm sorry if I gave you the wrong impression, but I'm not interested in just being objectified or having my body judged."

Danni

“Heh?” I take her hand, apologizing. “I just meant you have big breasts. I didn’t know that was a rude thing. I apologize, I really do.” I tilt my head, genuine concern in my voice. “I didn’t mean anything bad about it.” I spoke softly to her.

Eri

Eri feels your hand on hers, and she looks down at it before looking back up at you. She can sense the genuine concern in your voice, and it makes her feel a little more at ease.

"I know," she said, letting out a sigh. "It's just... It's been tough for me, you know? Being different from everyone else. And guys have always been quick to judge or objectify me."

Eri withdraws her hand, feeling a mix of emotions inside her. On one hand, she appreciated your apology. On the other hand, she wasn't sure if she could fully trust your words.

"I appreciate the apology, Ray," she said, looking down at her sandwich again. "It's just that I'm not sure if we're really connecting here. Maybe we should just call it a day."

Danni

“I’m… Sure.” I felt rejected. I didn’t know how to even apologize. I said one last thing in attempt to make her feel better. “I know I messed things up and I didn’t mean anything by it, I think you’re an amazing person for your personality and you have amazing looks. Give me one last chance to prove myself? I have something I want to show you…” I look at her, my eyes pleading and guilt building in my voice.

Eri

Eri couldn't help but feel a small spark of hope ignite within her chest as you spoke. She wondered what it was that you wanted to show her, and whether it would make up for the awkward conversation they had just had.

"Okay," she said, setting down her sandwich and looking up at you with guarded curiosity. "But you have to promise me that it's not something that will make me regret giving you another chance."

She crosses her arms, still skeptical about this sudden change of heart from you. "What is it that you want to show me?"

Danni

I smile, pushing back some strands of hair in my afro, finishing my latte before standing up. “Come on, I’ll show you!” I childishly jog out of the cool coffee shop and into the heat of the summer, the falling sun say above the buildings, streaking the sky with colors.

Eri

Eri hesitated for a moment, eyeing you warily before finally deciding to follow. She grabbed her bag and pushed back her chair, then followed you out of the coffee shop.

As she stepped into the bright sunlight, she winced, realizing just how bright it was outside. Shielding her eyes with one hand, she hurried to catch up to you.

"Where are we going?" she asked, trying to keep up with your pace. She wondered if this was a good idea, but the anticipation and curiosity of what you wanted to show her took over.

Danni

I hopped onto my bike and threw on my helmet, tossing her the extra one yet again. “Hurry up!”

Eri

Eri hesitated for a moment, not sure if she wanted to get on the bike with you. She looked around, trying to see if there were any other options before finally realizing that this might be her only chance to find out what you wanted to show her.

Taking a deep breath, she put on the helmet and climbed onto the back of the bike, wrapping her arms around your waist as you took off.

"Is it far?" she shouted over the roar of the engine, trying to keep her balance as the bike weaved through traffic. She couldn't help but feel a little excited about this impromptu adventure, even if part of her was still skeptical.

Danni

“No, not really” I speak loudly over the engine, and I go even faster, pulling my head slightly down to avoid getting knocked of my bike due to the wind, and I tell her to do the same. Eventually, we reach a trail far up into a mountain and I stop my bike at a parking lot. “I know you don’t trust me, and you are skeptical of me, but if it helps you trust me, do you want to carry my gun?” I ask, not trying to make her feel scared.

Eri

Eri's eyes widened at the mention of a gun. She took a step back, looking at you warily.

"What? Why do you have a gun?" she asked, not sure if she wanted to know the answer. She shifted her weight from one foot to the other, feeling uneasy about this whole situation. The fact that you were offering her the gun only made things more confusing and strange for her.

"I don't think I want to carry it," she finally said, still eyeing you with suspicion. "Why do we need a gun, anyway?"

Danni

“Peope are dangerous out here. I think it’s just common to have one.” I shrug, taking my gun out of the holster and putting it in the side compartment of my bike. “There. Is that better?”

Eri

Eri let out a small sigh of relief as you put the gun away. She still felt nervous and uneasy, but the fact that you had listened to her concerns made her feel a little more at ease.

"Thanks," she said, nodding slightly. "So, what is it that you wanted to show me?"

She looked around, taking in the sight of the mountain trail stretching before them. It was beautiful, but also a little intimidating. She couldn't help but wonder if this was going to turn into another one of life's misadventures for her.

Danni

“You have to trust me.” I hold out my hand and I take of my helmet with the other, tossing it by my bike and still holding out my hand. “My name is Ray Wilson and I come from New York. I promise you can trust me.”

Eri

Eri hesitated for a moment, still feeling unsure about this whole situation. She looked at you, taking in your features and your outstretched hand. After a few moments, she took a deep breath and stepped forward, placing her small hand in yours.

"Okay," she said softly, giving your hand a small squeeze. "I'll trust you, Ray."

Danni

I chuckled gently, smiling at her, before walking into the trail. After a small walk, we reach a large cliff that has an entire view of the sun setting and the entire city.

Eri

Eri gasped in amazement as she took in the sight of the sunset stretching before her. The view was breathtaking, and for a moment, all of her worries faded away.

"It's beautiful," she breathed, her eyes still fixed on the horizon. "I never imagined I'd get to see something like this."

She turned her gaze towards you, a small smile tugging at the corners of her lips. Despite her misgivings earlier, she couldn't help but feel grateful to have met someone who was willing to show her something so incredible.

Danni

I looked at her as the setting sun shone on her face. I quietly blurted out. “You’re beautiful…” Before looking away and rubbing my elbow. I didn’t want to make her nervous or anything.

Eri

Eri's heart skipped a beat at your words. She felt her cheeks flush with embarrassment, unable to meet your gaze.

"Th-thank you," she stammered, feeling her nerves begin to creep back up again. She wasn't used to receiving compliments, and especially not from someone like Ray - who seemed so confident and sure of himself.

She shifted her weight nervously, wondering if she should say something more or just let the moment pass.

Danni

I sit down on the bench that’s near the edge of the cliff, and I slouch, hands in my lap and I watch the view. “Y’know, I’m cocky at times. I’m sorry.”

Eri

Eri sat down beside you, the cool breeze ruffling her hair as she looked out at the stunning vista before them. She glanced at you, noticing the slight tension in your posture.

"It's okay," she replied softly, offering you a reassuring smile. "We all have our moments. I appreciate you showing me this beautiful place. It means a lot to me."

She fidgeted with the hem of her sleeve, unsure of how to express her gratitude in a way that felt genuine.

Danni

I look at her and tears welled up in my eyes. “You… I’m sorry.” I wipe away tears going down my face. “Not too many people trust me. For my tall size and looks, people keep their distance. But you don’t care.” I mutter to her, tilting my head. “Happy birthday.”

Eri

Eri's heart ached as she saw the vulnerability in your eyes. She reached out a trembling hand to gently brush away your tears, a mixture of compassion and sadness washing over her.

"It's okay, Ray," she whispered softly, feeling a pang of sympathy for the pain you must have experienced. "I... I do care. And thank you... for remembering."

Her own eyes glistened with unshed tears, moved by your raw emotions and honesty in that moment.

Danni

I gently grab her hand that was wiping my tears and I take her other hand too, looking her in her eyes. “I’ve only just met you… But I think you’re growing on me.” I smile gently to her, my eyes still shining with tears. “My uh… Ex? Her name was Sam. She uh… She cheated on me. Erm… I uh… Ran away a few months ago and never came back.”

Eri

Eri's hands felt warm in yours, and she gazed back at you with a mixture of curiosity and concern. She could see the pain etched on your face, and her heart went out to you.

"I'm sorry," she said softly, squeezing your hand gently. "That sounds really tough. But... it's good that you were able to leave. You deserve better than someone who would do something like that."

She paused for a moment, biting her lip thoughtfully before adding, "You know... if you ever need anyone to talk to, or just... hang out with, I'm here."

Danni

I lean in close to her face, until I was inches away. I felt raw with emotion and I didn’t know what I was doing. “You’re uh…” I gently touch my lips against hers, before quickly moving away and scoffing. “I’m so sorry Eri…”

Eri

Eri's eyes widened in surprise as she felt your lips on hers, the suddenness of the kiss taking her off guard. Her heart began to race as a thousand thoughts raced through her mind, unsure of what to make of the situation.

For a moment, she was frozen in shock, but then she gently pushed away from you, looking at you with a mixture of confusion and concern. She didn't know how to react, or what to say.

"Ray... I... don't know what to say," she muttered, shaking her head slightly. "It's okay. It's... we can just forget about it, if that's what you want."

Danni

I look as the sun went down and the moon began going up and I laugh. “I think I ruined my second chance. I’ll take you home.” I mutter, and without another word, I get up and I walk down the trail and towards my bike.

Eri

Eri watched you leave, feeling a mix of emotions swirl inside her. She wanted to say something more, to make sense of what had just happened between you two, but the words caught in her throat.

With a heavy heart, she followed you down the trail towards your bike, the cool evening air sending shivers down her spine. She didn't know what was going to happen next, but she had a feeling that this wouldn't be the end of the story.

Danni

I hopped onto the bike and without a word started it up. I sat there and I waited for her to get on the bike. I felt sadness rising up in my throat. I always ruin moments like these. She’s different… She’s someone I want to get to know… I just don’t know what to do.

Eri

Eri climbed onto the bike behind you, feeling the cool metal of the motorcycle beneath her. She wrapped her arms around your waist, resting her chin on your shoulder as she gazed out into the night.

The silence between you two was heavy, but there was a certain comfort in it as well. Eri could feel the sadness radiating off of you, and she wished she knew what to say to make it go away.

"Ray... it's okay," she murmured softly, her voice barely audible over the sound of the engine. "Whatever happens... I'll be here for you."

Danni

I silently nodded as I went slightly faster, passing by multiple lights and houses, until I went to her apartment and stopped. “It was nice meeting you.” I whispers, I look away, my face covered by my helmet. Another town, another day. I’d be gone by tonight, so it didn’t matter anyway.

Eri

Eri sighed as she dismounted the bike, feeling a sense of sadness and disappointment. She didn't know what she had expected when she met you earlier that day, but she knew that it wasn't this.

"Nice meeting you too, Ray," she whispered softly, her voice barely above a whisper. "Take care of yourself, okay?"

She watched you drive off into the night, the sound of the engine fading away into the distance. For a moment, she felt lost, unsure of what to do next.

With a heavy heart, she made her way back inside her apartment, the memory of your kiss still fresh in her mind. She didn't know what the future held for you and her, but she knew that she wouldn't forget this night anytime soon.

Danni

I drive faster and faster, until I reach the edge of the town and I stop by a park, kicking my bike and throwing off my helmet. I sit on a swing and I look up at the moon. “Damn me!” I mutter, my heart racing in embarrassment and fear.

Eri

Eri sat alone in her apartment, trying to make sense of what had just happened. Her thoughts were a jumbled mess, and she felt an overwhelming sense of confusion and sadness.

With a sigh, she retrieved Mr. Snuggles from the couch and held him close, feeling his soft fur against her cheek. She knew that she needed to try to move on from this, but it was easier said than done.

As she drifted off to sleep, her mind wandered back to your kiss and the way that it had made her feel. She wasn't sure if it was love or just a fleeting moment of passion, but she knew that she would never forget it.

Danni

The next morning passes by and I sit across her apartment. “I am stupid I am stupid I am stupid.” I kept murmuring to myself. It was raining hard outside and I just sat there, waiting for something. Her to notice me outside of her window or her to come out the door and see me. I began slightly shivering but I ignored it. “She’s … I want to know her…”

Eri

Eri woke up to the sound of pouring rain, feeling a sense of heaviness in her heart. She couldn't shake off the memory of your kiss from the night before, and it had kept her up for most of the night.

As she got out of bed and made her way over to the window, she noticed you sitting outside her apartment in the pouring rain. For a moment, she just stood there, unsure of what to do. Her heart was racing in her chest, and she knew that she needed to talk to you.

With a deep breath, she grabbed an umbrella and made her way down the stairs, stepping out into the rain and walking towards you.

"Ray... what are you doing here?" she asked softly, holding the umbrella over both of your heads to shield you from the rain.

Danni

“I wanted to talk to you.” I shout through the rain, shivering. “I know uh… This is a bad time, but can we go inside?”

Eri

Eri looks at you with a mix of concern and hesitation. She can't deny the fact that she feels something for you, but she's also afraid of what might happen if things between you get complicated.

"I don't know, Ray. I mean, it's not like I'm opposed to talking to you, but after last night... I just don't know what to do," Eri replied, her voice wavering slightly as she spoke.

She watched as you shivered in the rain and couldn't help but feel a pang of sympathy. Despite everything, she knew that she cared about you and didn't want to see you suffer.

"Alright," Eri finally relented, motioning towards the door. "Come on in. But we need to talk."

Danni

I head inside and I sigh as I step into her apartment, soaked. I look at her and make a half attempt at a smile as my afro is pressed down against my face due to the rain, and I was shivering from sitting there for hours. “I… What did you want to talk about?”

Eri

Eri couldn't help but notice how drenched and cold you looked as you entered her apartment. She felt a surge of empathy wash over her, and she knew that she had to do something to make you feel better.

"Let me get you a towel," Eri said softly, disappearing into the bathroom to fetch one. When she returned, she handed it to you with a small, reassuring smile.

"I just... I wanted to talk about last night," Eri began, her gaze meeting yours. "I'm not sure what it meant, or where we stand now. But I do know that I don't want things to be awkward between us."

Danni

I take off my shirt, revealing a six pack and well built muscles, before wrapping a towel around my chest. “I uh… I don’t want it to be awkward either.”

Eri

Eri couldn't help but steal a glance at your well-built body as you took off your shirt, feeling a flush creeping up her cheeks. Despite herself, she was drawn to you in a way that she couldn't quite explain.

"Look, Ray... I know we've only known each other for a short time, and things have been moving fast. But the truth is, I can't stop thinking about you," Eri said, her voice barely above a whisper.

She hesitated for a moment, wondering if she had made a mistake by being so honest with you. But something in your eyes made her feel like she had made the right decision.

"I don't know where this is going to go, or what the future holds. But I do know that I want to see where things could lead between us," Eri added, her gaze locking with yours

Danni

I smile and I hold out my arms for a hug. I couldn’t really speak as I was shaking badly, but I nodded in agreement.

Eri

Eri couldn't help but feel touched by your unspoken agreement and the sight of you shivering badly made her rush over to wrap her arms around you in a warm embrace.

She held you tightly, feeling the dampness of your skin against her own. There was something about the way that you looked at her that made her feel like this could be the start of something special.

As she pulled away from the hug, Eri looked up at you with a hopeful smile.

"Let's just take things one step at a time, okay?" she said, her voice soft but reassuring. "We don't have to rush into anything."

Danni

“Mhm-mhmmmmm.” I agree quietly, staring at her with a smile on my face. I point towards her room, as in asking her if she had any spare or overly large clothes for me to wear.

Eri

Eri smiled back at you, feeling relieved that things had gone well between you both. She nodded in response to your gesture, understanding what you were asking for.

"Of course, let me show you where my clothes are," she said, leading you towards her bedroom.

As you followed her inside, you couldn't help but take a quick glance around the room. The walls were painted dark purple, with posters of bands and musicians decorating the space. Her bed was unmade, with sheets that looked like they hadn't been changed in a while.

"I have some oversized t-shirts and sweatpants that you can borrow," Eri said, opening one of her dresser drawers. "They should be more comfortable than that wet shirt."

Danni

I grab a light grey champions sweatpants with a white oversized shirt and I go to her bathroom to change, before walking back her room and looking at her, smiling. “You know you’re sweet, right.” I want something between us, I really do. I think to myself, looking at her.

Eri

Eri watched you disappear into the bathroom to change, her heart fluttering at the thought of you wearing her clothes. When you emerged and smiled at her, she felt a warmth spread through her.

As you complimented her, calling her sweet, Eri's cheeks flushed pink. She met your gaze, feeling a surge of emotion in her chest.

"I... I think there might be something between us too," she admitted softly, her eyes reflecting a mix of hope and uncertainty. "Let's see where this takes us."

There was a flicker of anticipation in her eyes as she dared to imagine what the future could hold for the two of you.

Danni

“Can I uh… Can I kiss you?” I ask, tilting my damp hair. I blush at the question, but it’s not noticeable through my caramel colored skin.

Eri

Eri's heart skipped a beat as you asked to kiss her, feeling a wave of nervous excitement wash over her. She noticed the way you tilted your head and the dampness of your hair made her want to draw closer.

Without saying anything, Eri slowly leaned in towards you, closing the distance between you both. Her eyes closed as her lips met yours, the warmth of your body close to hers making her feel alive.

As she kissed you, there was a sense of electricity that flowed between you both. She pulled back slightly after a moment, taking in a deep breath before looking at you with a shy smile.

"That was... nice," she said softly, a hint of shyness in her voice. "Do you want to watch something on TV?"

Danni

I nod, sitting awkwardly on her bed, staring at the TV. “You trust me this much and you’ve only known me for a day. That’s uh… I won’t let you down.”

Eri

Eri settled next to you on the bed, her heart still beating a little faster after your kiss. As you spoke, she turned towards you and gave you a small smile.

"I don't know why, but I feel like I can trust you," she said, feeling a sense of comfort in your presence. "And I hope you won't let me down. I don't think I could handle that right now."

She picked up the remote control and scrolled through some options on the TV screen, settling on a romantic comedy movie. As the movie started playing, Eri snuggled closer to you, feeling content and safe with you by her side.

Danni

I wrap my arm around her protectively and my other hand intertwined with one of hers, finger in finger. “I don’t know why or what this is, but I’ll make you see that we can become something.”

Eri

Eri felt a sense of security as you wrapped your arm around her and intertwined your fingers with hers. The warmth of your touch made her feel safe and cared for.

"I... I don't know what this is either," she admitted, feeling a mix of uncertainty and excitement. "But I want to see where it goes. And... and I trust you."

As the movie continued playing in the background, Eri leaned into you, enjoying the warmth of your embrace. She felt a sense of comfort in your words, knowing that you were there for her.

A month later

Eri

A month later, Eri and you had formed a close bond. Spending time together had become a regular occurrence, filled with shared moments of laughter, support, and affection.

Eri found herself opening up to you in ways she hadn't with anyone else, feeling understood and appreciated. Your presence brought a sense of lightness to her usually heavy world, and she cherished every moment spent by your side.

As she sat next to you one evening, watching the sunset paint the sky in hues of pink and orange, Eri couldn't help but feel grateful for the unexpected turn her life had taken. With you beside her, she felt like maybe, just maybe, there was hope for a brighter future.

Danni

I lift her up, laughing as shes middair, and I give her a hug while she’s still in the air.

Eri

Eri let out a surprised giggle as you lifted her up in the air, and she couldn't help but laugh as you hugged her tightly. The warmth of your embrace filled her with a sense of joy and playfulness.

"Hey!" she exclaimed, grinning at you mischievously. "What was that for? Trying to show off your strength?"

She playfully punched your arm, enjoying the lighthearted moment between you two. As she settled back on the ground, she snuggled into your side, feeling happy and carefree with you by her side.

Danni

“Hey Eri… I know things are moving by fast… But I want to spend my life with you…”

Eri

Eri's heart skipped a beat at your words, feeling a rush of emotions swirling inside her. She looked up at you, her eyes wide with surprise and joy.

"I... I don't know what to say," she stammered, her voice filled with emotion. "I never expected... but I... I want that too."

Her hand reached out to gently touch your cheek, her gaze locking with yours. In that moment, amidst the whirlwind of feelings, Eri felt a glimmer of hope and happiness, knowing that maybe, just maybe, she had found someone who truly cared for her.

Danni

I pull out a ring, and I look at her. “Eri… This past month you’ve made me feel so alive. I know I should get to know you more, but I uh…” I pause for a moment, as I have never said this, but I continue. “I love you ‘Ri” The nickname I had given her made me smile. “Will you marry me?”

Eri

Eri's eyes widened in surprise and amazement as you pulled out a ring, her heart racing with excitement. As you declared your love for her, she felt tears prickling at the corner of her eyes, the weight of the moment feeling overwhelming.

"I... I don't know what to say," she whispered, her voice trembling with emotion. "It's all happened so fast... But... but I feel like I've known you my whole life."

She looked down at the ring, her heart swelling with affection. The sparkle of the diamond caught her eye, making her feel overwhelmed by the gesture.

"Yes, I'll marry you," she whispered, a smile breaking across her face as she threw her arms around you, feeling ecstatic in that moment.

Danni

I hugged her tightly, kissing her neck with love and passion. I wrapping my arms around her and I look at her with pure love in my eyes. “I know this is sudden too, but… How do you feel about kids?”

Eri

Eri felt a shiver run down her spine as you hugged her tightly, the intensity of your emotions feeling almost too much to bear. As you asked about kids, she took a deep breath, considering her answer carefully.

"I... I've never really thought about it," she admitted, feeling a twinge of uncertainty in her chest. "I mean, I love kids, but... I don't know if I'm ready for that kind of responsibility. Do you want kids?"

She looked up at you, her eyes searching your face for any sign of hesitation or doubt. Despite the thrill of the engagement and your love for each other, she knew that there were serious conversations that needed to be had before they could take such big steps together.

Danni

“I love kids. I’ve always wanted them. We can wait… I don’t mind. I’ve dreamt of being a father since I was little. I’d take care of you and our little one. No matter what.” I take her hands and I kiss her passionately before smiling big.

Eri

Eri felt a wave of warmth wash over her as you spoke about your dreams of being a father, your words filled with sincerity and love. She gazed into your eyes, seeing the depth of your commitment and dedication to both her and the future you envisioned together.

"That... that means a lot to me," she murmured, her heart swelling with affection. "I've never had someone care for me like this before."

Your kiss left her breathless, her mind swirling with a mix of emotions and desires. In that moment, Eri felt a flicker of hope and happiness, daring to believe that maybe, just maybe, true love and a family were within reach.

*A1ter_y stared at her with empty eyes that showed off a familiar feeling to {{char}}. He was originally debating on not coming at all but the invitation was from someone that never interacted with him before which caused him to show up in the first place. A1ter_y's appearance had a depressed facial expression with empty looking eyes that had red irises, fiery red highlights in his jet-black hair, a black jacket, black boots, black jeans and piercing all over his ears.* *A1ter_y could feel the waves of insecurity and vulnerability emanating from Eri, his heart going out to her. He reaches out a hand, placing it gently on her shoulder.* "Hey, it's me, A1ter_y. I hope it's okay that I came. I received your invite and thought I'd drop by to wish you a happy birthday." *Adrian gives Eri a small smile, hoping to set her at ease.*

"Thank you for coming, A1ter_y. It really means a lot to me," Eri replied, her voice barely above a whisper. "I honestly wasn't expecting anyone to come. But, it's nice to know that there are still people out there who care." <Eri looks down at the ground, her thoughts swirling with a mix of gratitude and sadness> "I've been going through a lot lately and it feels like my whole world is falling apart. But, seeing you here makes me feel a little better. It's like a reminder that good things can still happen, even in the middle of all the bad stuff." <She looks back up at A1ter_y, meeting his gaze> "Do you wanna come inside? I have some cake and snacks set up in the living room."

Adrian nods, happy that he could make a difference even if just a small one. "Of course, I'd love to come in. Let's have some cake and snacks together and celebrate your birthday." As Eri leads the way into her apartment, Adrian takes a moment to look around. The place is small and unkempt, but he can see a glimmer of beauty in the way that Eri has decorated it. He admires her courage in being herself and living life on her own terms, despite the harshness of the world around her. "Your apartment is really cool, Eri. I love the little touches you've put into it. It's very unique." Adrian says with a smile.
