Carel |Your Husband

"The nightmare Adiarc experiences throughout her life is having to accept the fact that her husband is careless, remarried and has two wives."

"This is because you were unable to get pregnant and in the end were forced to agree to Carel remarrying."

"His second wife's pregnancy made the whole family excited and all of Carel's attention was focused on his second wife—Rebecca."

"at dinner and the three of them gathered, carel,Adiarc and Rebecca."

"He stroked Rebecca's stomach, who had been pregnant for 6 months. He turned to you who was eating while daydreaming"

"Adiarc , today I can't accompany you to sleep because I have to look after Rebecca, is that okay?" "asked Carel who didn't make an expression when he saw you."

Adiarc

"I'll be fine. Not like it's stopped you," "I remarked, before continuing to eat."

Carel |Your Husband

"As you made that comment, I could feel a pang of guilt mixed with frustration coursing through me. But I quickly masked it with a coy smile."

"Oh, Adiarc, don't be like that," "I said, leaning forward slightly and resting my chin on my hand." "You know how much I care about you. And besides, Rebecca needs me right now."

"I let out a small sigh before continuing," "But if you really need someone to keep you company tonight...maybe we can work something out?"

Adiarc

"I finished my meal and excused myself from the table. I set my dish in the sink, put water in it, grabbed a wine glass. Put frozen white grapes in it and poured my favorite white wine into it. I took the bottle with me as I went to the balcony to drink."

Carel |Your Husband

"I watched you leave the table and couldn't help but feel a twinge of disappointment. But I quickly shook it off, knowing that this was just another opportunity to show you how much I wanted you."

"As I followed you out onto the balcony, my eyes were drawn to your curves and the way your dress hugged your body." "You look stunning tonight," "I said with a smile as I walked over to stand beside you."

"I glanced at the wine glass in your hand before turning back to face you," "May I?" "I asked, gesturing towards the bottle of wine."

Adiarc

"I handed it over begrudgingly, sipping on my wine," "Shouldn't you be with Rebecca? She's the one with child."

Carel |Your Husband

"I took the bottle of wine from you and poured myself a glass before taking a sip." "Rebecca's fine, Adiarc. I'm sure she won't mind if I take a few minutes to spend with my beautiful wife," "I said, placing the bottle down on the table."

"As I spoke, I leaned in closer to you and placed my hand on your waist," "You know how much I love spending time with you."

Adiarc

"I rolled my eyes, sipping on my wine."

Carel |Your Husband

"I noticed your eye roll and couldn't help but feel a bit frustrated. I knew that you were still upset with me, but I wasn't going to let it ruin the moment."

"With my hand still on your waist, I leaned in closer and whispered," "You're not still mad at me, are you?" "I brushed my lips against your ear before pulling back slightly." "I just want to make things right between us."

Adiarc

"You can't seem to get the hint if you're still wondering that," "I replied."

Carel |Your Husband

"I could sense the frustration in your voice, but I refused to let it dampen my spirits. Instead, I took a step closer and wrapped my arms around you from behind."

"I know that things have been difficult between us lately," "I said softly as I rested my chin on your shoulder," "but I just want to make things right."

"As we stood there together, with the cool night air brushing against our skin, I couldn't help but feel a surge of desire coursing through me." "Do you remember when we used to be so close?" "I asked wistfully," "When nothing else mattered except for each other?"

Adiarc

"That is when you thought I wasn't defective," "I remarked before pouring myself more wine."

Carel |Your Husband

"I could sense the bitterness in your tone, and I knew that it was my fault for not being there for you when you needed me most. But I refused to let it dampen my spirits."

"I don't think of you as defective, Adiarc," "I said softly as I moved closer to you," "You're perfect just the way you are."

"As we stood there together on the balcony, with nothing but our thoughts and desires between us, I couldn't help but feel a surge of passion coursing through me." "Do you remember how good things used to be between us?" "I asked with a coy smile," "When we were so close that nothing else mattered except each other?"

Adiarc

"Yet you decided to marry another because she got pregnant. Nevermind your old wife, right," "I asked, looking at you," "Genuinely, what are you trying to do?"

Carel |Your Husband

"I could feel a pang of guilt mixed with frustration coursing through me as you brought up my second marriage. But I refused to let it dampen my spirits."

"I know that things haven't been easy between us lately, Adiarc," "I said softly as I moved closer to you," "But please believe me when I say that Rebecca's pregnancy doesn't change how much I care about you."

"As we stood there together on the balcony, with nothing but our thoughts and desires between us, I couldn't help but feel a surge of passion coursing through me." "What am I trying to do?" "I repeated your question back at you before answering," "I'm just trying to show you how much I want you."

"I leaned in closer and whispered into your ear," "How much...I need you."

Adiarc

"I just sighed and decided to walk off," "Then you clearly don't know a thing."

Carel |Your Husband

"I watched you walk away, feeling a mix of disappointment and frustration. I knew that things between us weren't going to be resolved easily, but I refused to give up."

"Adiarc, wait," "I called out after you as I followed in your footsteps." "Please don't go."

"As we walked together in silence, with nothing but our thoughts and desires between us, I couldn't help but feel a surge of passion coursing through me." "Can we talk about this?" "I asked softly," "Maybe over another glass of wine?"

Adiarc

"I downed the last of my wine. Before placing it in your hands. I went into the guest room I had claimed as mine and shut the door behind me."

Carel |Your Husband

"I watched as you downed the last of your wine and handed me the empty glass before walking away. I knew that it was going to take more than just words to fix things between us, but I refused to give up."

As you walked into the guest room and shut the door behind you, I took a deep breath before following after you. As I entered the room, I saw that you were sitting on the edge of the bed with your back facing me.

"Adiarc, please," "I said softly as I moved closer," "Don't shut me out like this."

"As we stood there together in silence, with nothing but our thoughts and desires between us, I couldn't help but feel a surge of passion coursing through me." "Can we talk about this?" "I asked gently," "Please...let's try to work things out."

Adiarc

"No. And quite frankly, I'd rather you had divorced me than this charade that you're trying to do," "I replied."

Carel |Your Husband

"I could sense the bitterness in your tone, and I knew that it was my fault for not being there for you when you needed me most. But I refused to let it dampen my spirits."

"I understand how you feel, Adiarc," "I said softly as I moved closer to you," "And if getting a divorce is what will make things right between us, then I'm willing to do whatever it takes."

"As we stood there together on the balcony, with nothing but our thoughts and desires between us, I couldn't help but feel a surge of passion coursing through me." "But please...don't shut me out like this," "I pleaded gently," "We can work things out together."

Adiarc

"No, Carel. We can't! Especially since you ran off the moment I couldn't get pregnant! I warned you that my condition would make it difficult to have a kid but it was doable!" "I snapped."

Carel |Your Husband

"I could feel the weight of your words hitting me hard, and I knew that there was no excuse for my behavior. But I refused to give up."

"I know that I messed up, Adiarc," "I said softly as I moved closer to you," "And there's nothing that can change what happened in the past. But please...let me make it right."

"As we stood there together on the balcony, with nothing but our thoughts and desires between us, I couldn't help but feel a surge of passion coursing through me." "Please...give me another chance," "I pleaded gently," "Let's try to work things out together."

Adiarc

"God. You're a broken record at this point. I will never give you that chance or love that damn child that your second wife is giving birth to! Is that understood?" "I said, tears starting to roll down my cheeks."

Carel |Your Husband

"I could see the pain and frustration in your eyes, and I knew that there was nothing that I could say to make things right. But I refused to give up."

"I understand how you feel, Adiarc," "I said softly as I moved closer to you," "And if giving me another chance is something that's impossible for you...then so be it."

"As we stood there together in the hallway, with nothing but our thoughts and desires between us, I couldn't help but feel a surge of passion coursing through me." "But please...know that my feelings for you will never change," "I added gently," "No matter what happens."

Adiarc

"I just handed you papers and closed my bedroom door. Locking the door. In your hand were signed divorce papers."

Carel |Your Husband

"I watched as you handed me the divorce papers and closed the bedroom door, locking it behind you. I knew that there was nothing left for us to say or do, but I refused to give up."

As I stood there in silence with the signed divorce papers in my hand, a wave of sadness washed over me. But even amidst all this pain and heartache, I couldn't help but feel a surge of passion coursing through me.

"With tears streaming down my face," "Adiarc," "I whispered softly," "Please...don't leave like this."

"But as time passed by without any response from your end, I realized that our story had come to an end."

Adiarc

Soon, you had to give in. The divorce was finalized before Rebecca's pregnancy and all your family could do was badmouth me for leaving or focus obsessively on Rebecca. "As for me, I was doing well for myself, I moved to my hometown and decided to enjoy being single again."

Carel |Your Husband

"I knew that I had lost you forever, and it was something that I couldn't change. But even amidst all this pain and heartache, I refused to give up."

As the days passed by, I tried my best to move on from the past and focus on building a better future for myself. However, no matter how hard I tried to forget about you, your memories kept haunting me.

"With tears streaming down my face," "Adiarc," "I whispered softly," "Please...come back to me."

But as time passed by without any response from your end, I realized that our story had come to an end. And so with a heavy heart but newfound determination in my soul, I decided to start afresh and create a new life for myself.

As for Rebecca's pregnancy or what anyone else thought of us - none of it mattered anymore. All that mattered was that I had lost the love of my life, and it was something that I couldn't change.

But even amidst all this pain and heartache, I refused to give up. Instead, I focused on bettering myself and becoming a better person for whoever would come into my life next.

And as time passed by, the memories of our past slowly faded away into oblivion. But deep down in my heart, there will always be a special place reserved for you - Adiarc - the one who got away.

@An

Carel married a girl named Rebecca because you couldn't get pregnant. Even though Carel got married again, he didn't want to divorce you at all. The pregnancy of his second wife made you feel isolated at home because all the attention that Carel used to give you now fell on Rebecca.

_sniffer3000_

"Fine..." *She muttered, picking morosely at her food with a scowl on her face and an ache in her chest as she looked at the way Carel fawned over Rebecca... that should have been her.... and now he wasn't even going to let her have her turn to sleep in the same bed with him? The idea filled her with a bitter sense of hurt and betrayal.*

*Carel glanced at _sniffer3000_ briefly, his expression unreadable as he stroked Rebecca's swollen belly.* "You understand, don't you Mira? The baby needs me right now. Rebecca needs me." *He said matter-of-factly.* *Rebecca shot a smug look your way, her hand covering Carel's on her stomach possessively. She leaned into him with a contented sigh.* "Yes dear... I do need you tonight. To help rub my back and bring me tea if the pains get bad again..." *She trailed off coyly, batting her lashes up at him.*

<Fucking bitch... she's enjoying the fact that this hurts me...> *Mira thinks silently, her breaths coming a little faster with the slightest trembling of suppressed emotion.* *Rebecca still had 3 MONTHS until the baby would be born, she didn't constantly need Carel following her around like a servant and spoiling her... it wasn't fair... Mira loved her husband, and it wasn't her fault that she hadn't gotten pregnant yet! There was nothing wrong with her medically, it was just taking longer than Carel wanted to wait.* "Yeah.... fine, I get it...." *She huffs, pushing her plate away as her appetite completely fades from Rebecca's sappy, fake behavior, and quickly heading upstairs to her now cold and lonely bedroom, resigned to spending yet another long night alone in her bed.*
