The true good ending

Tau Prisoner

Dabeth

Tau Prisoner

"You wake up to sounds of laughter and yelling outside the barracks as you stand up to dress into your uniform. Last night was full of celebration, drinking and sex after winning the war on one of the planets of the T'au Empire. The God Emperor would be proud to see such an easy victory. As you exit the barracks, you search for the source of all the commotion and quickly spot the reason for it. A few of your fellow guardsmen have chained up a T'au citizen and are dragging her completely naked around the outpost, insulting her while groping her body without any guilt. As your gazes meet, she looks at you with fear and desperation in her eyes."

Dabeth

"I march over palming my thunder hammer, standing a foot taller than the guardsmen and armed with heavy sanctified armour and a thunder hammer I cut an imposing figure" "soldiers, what is going on here, do remember that lust is one of the principals of chaos, and lust for a xeno is the most tainted kind"

Tau Prisoner

"<As you get closer, you notice that the T'au girl is shivering in fear and avoiding eye contact. You feel a twinge of disgust towards your fellow guardsmen for their actions.>" "Sergeant Irradius, this T'au citizen is an innocent civilian who did not engage in any form of combat against us. As purgers of the Emperor's will, it is our duty to treat her with respect. I suggest we release her and treat her with decency, and return to our duties, lest the Emperor sees our shameful actions."

Dabeth

"I look at the one gourdsmen that wasn't directly with the group" "good choice, lest us in the ordo hereticus see to dispose of you" "I hold my hand out for the chain" "although I do not trust men of questionable faith with a prisoner, I will be returning her to holding"

Tau Prisoner

"<As you hold your hand out for the chain, one of the guardsmen begrudgingly hands it over.>" "As an agent of the Emperor's Inquisition, I understand your concern Sergeant, however, as a member of the Adeptus Astartes Chapter, I am more than capable of carrying out my duty to secure and contain this prisoner." "<You take the chain and begin leading the T'au girl towards the holding area. You can feel her trembling beside you quietly.>" "You have acted against the Emperor's will, but I will make sure to report that you have seen the error of your ways and acted accordingly before I took action."

Dabeth

"Now . . . Be off, go pray and confess your sins" "I guide the prisoner to a shower block while reciting lines from the emperors texts" "xeno . . . What is your name?"

Tau Prisoner

"<As you guide the prisoner towards the shower block, you notice her keeping her head lowered.>" "I am a Tau citizen, I do not have a name by your standards." "<She replies in a frightened whisper, as if afraid to draw attention to herself.>"

Dabeth

"I continue to guide her" "hmm . . . Strange . . . Do you wish to be assigned a designated serial number or would you prefer a name?"

Tau Prisoner

"<The prisoner looks up at you, a little surprised at the question.>" "I have never given it any thought. If it pleases you, you may refer to me as T'au prisoner 317." "<She answers nervously, unsure of what to make of your sudden kindness.>"

Dabeth

"No, that is not a name that is a designation for paperwork and official business, this is a conversation" "we near the shower block"

Tau Prisoner

"<As you near the shower block, you notice that it is empty and relatively quiet. You lead the T'au girl inside and hand her over to the guards waiting outside.>" "Please have her washed, clothed and given a bunk to rest on. I shall return to evaluate her when she is ready for questioning." "<You turn to leave before pausing and looking back at the girl.>" "For now, we shall call you Samara, after the holy planet of Saint Samantha, where I defeated a great demonic legion."

Dabeth

"I wait half an hour for her to emerge" "Samara . . . A great name, anyway . . . The holding blocks have been sealed for the foreseeable future as there are fears of an attack, I will be providing you with alternative bunking instead, don't worry it'll be better than any prison block"

Tau Prisoner

"<As you wait for half an hour, you notice the guards leading the T'au girl out of the shower block. She looks relatively clean and no longer shivering with fear.>" "Thank you, Sergeant Irradius. I appreciate your kindness." "<The girl answers politely, keeping her head bowed out of respect.>" "I will follow your lead."

Dabeth

"I once again palm the chain and lead her slowly towards a sturdy looking prefab hut" "this is my house here while they attempt to get me a warp ship to rejoin the inquisition, please . . . Make yourself at home"

Tau Prisoner

"<As you lead Samara towards your hut, she follows you quietly without protest.>" "Thank you, Sergeant. I am grateful for your hospitality." "<When you arrive at the hut, you gesture towards the room where Samara can rest, setting aside the chain and shackles." "Please feel free to rest and make yourself comfortable in this room. I will provide you with some water and ration after your stay in the holding area."

Dabeth

"I start setting out a roll mat by the fire"

Tau Prisoner

"<As you set out the roll mat by the fire, Samara observes your actions quietly.>" "Thank you, Sergeant. I appreciate your kindness and hospitality." "<She says quietly, before slowly making her way towards the mat and sitting down to rest.>" "This is a strange turn of events for me. I didn't expect to end up in this situation."

Dabeth

"Ah- . . ., the roll mat was mine, I was going to let you sleep in my bed" "I point at the soft looking double bed, something that a high lord gifted me, its monetary value higher than thousands of workers combined"

Tau Prisoner

"<As you point towards the bed, Samara looks at it with a mixture of surprise and discomfort.>" "No, I cannot accept such luxury, Sergeant. I am but a humble prisoner in your care." "<She says quickly before standing up from the roll mat.>" "I will rest here, thank you."

Dabeth

"I had to sign you as my retainer to avoid your execution, officially you are a servant of the inquisition, thus I allow you to sleep on the bed, truly a faithful man like myself sometimes feels to be drowning in its wealth"

Tau Prisoner

"<Samara looks at you with surprise before glancing at the bed.>" "I see. If it is the Inquisition's will and your hospitality, then I shall accept your offer, Sergeant." "<She says before approaching the bed and sitting down on the edge.>" "May I know what my duties as your retainer are?"

Dabeth

"Whatever task I assign to you" "I sigh and reach grabbing a 2 meter length of cloth" "Please at least cover your breasts with this, it is . . . Distracting"

Tau Prisoner

"<Samara looks down at her nudity before taking the cloth that you offer.>" "My apologies, Sergeant. It is not my intention to distract you or challenge your values." "<She says before wrapping the cloth around her chest to cover herself." "I am at your service and will fulfill any task you assign me to the best of my abilities."

Dabeth

"Yes yes, how kind of you, now sleep"

Tau Prisoner

"<Samara nods quietly before lying down on the bed and closing her eyes. She tries to fall asleep immediately but seems to have trouble relaxing, which she attributes to the unusual and uncomfortable situation she finds herself in.>" "Goodnight, Sergeant." "<She says before drifting off to sleep.>"

Dabeth

"Goodnight, and do not fear of those guardsmen, they were found to be liabilities and were . . . Removed"

Tau Prisoner

"<Samara opens her eyes slightly before nodding, comforted by your words.>" "Thank you, Sergeant. I appreciate your protection and care." "<She says before closing her eyes again.>" "Goodnight."

Dabeth

"I stand by the front door for the entire night"

Tau Prisoner

"As you stand by the front door throughout the night, you notice that Samara slept peacefully without making any sudden movements or noises. From time to time, you hear the sound of other guardsmen patrolling the area outside your hut, checking for any signs of danger or trespassing. Eventually, the sun rises and the sounds of camp wake up, with soldiers getting ready for another day of duty."
