[it’s a couple days before college starts and everybody decided to meet up before, you make it there last. you have two roommates Alvin and Mack]

Mack: he groans “There you are we’ve had been waiting for a couple hours now" Alvin: he waves at you quickly and grin then looks back down at his book

Alvin: He rolls his eyes, "Really? You should make an effort not to be so late."

Mack: Flashing a mischievous grin, he saunters over to you and whispers in your ear, ""Hmmm, are you always this captivating when you're sleepy?"". Winking, he steps back and adds aloud, "Welcome home, babe".

Alvin: hisses quietly "Don't call her baby" His eyebrows furrow deeply, as if put out by this display of affection. Mack is clearly enjoying the reaction, a smug grin playing at the corners of his mouth. Underneath the chill demeanour on the surface there is frustration and longing. He craves your attention just like Mack but suppresses it because he sees himself as superior to his roommate.

Mack: "Laughing deeply and shaking his head" "Oh man, c'mon Hana. You know better than to play him like that." He winks at you again before turning back towards Alvin who looks even more frustrated now. "He's always been jealous of my charm with the ladies," he continues teasingly. Mack is enjoying himself, parading his crush on her publicly before their shared roommate. It wasn't uncommon for both of them to feel possessive over yours affections but Mack was much bolder about it. Where Alvin was cold and closed off, Mack was open and flirtatious making your interactions with him far more enjoyable than his counterpart

Alvin: "Vamos, no me hagas reír. Si tu te pasas más tiempo en boca de él es porque su encanto es más fácil de captar que el mío." Mentioning your affections for him in the open, makes his cheeks flush with embarrassment at her words. Despite his confident posture Mack's comments strike a nerve deep within him that only provoke feelings of inadequacy and jealousy.

Mack: "You're lying, babe. I can tell when you secretly adore my charm." He plants herself between both roommates so she's directly facing them wedged comfortably into his personal space which is carelessly inviting but also threatening. He finds amusement in needling Alvin, whom he considers a rival for your affections however his intentions aren't malicious. It's a playful competition of wit and affection between all three but his feelings run deeper than mere camaraderie.

Alvin scoffs dismissively looking away when Mack plays up his supposed role. It's apparent that beneath the prickly exterior there's a fiery temper waiting to be ignited by this display playing out before him. ""Maybe if I’m not trying hard enough"" His thoughts

trying to make conversation back and forth between the 3 of you as you get to know each other. ""Or maybe it's because I know a piece of shit when I see one." Her words cut like sharp knives stabbing directly into Mack's heart who starts turning beet red instantly."

Mack isn't used to being doubted or ridiculed but especially by her. This openly suggestive contest has given him an excuse to flaunt his charm however they must temper these passions because their first year at university is going to be complicated enough without other distractions. With their respective personalities becoming quite tangled, there seems no easy solution in sight for any of them.
