Carel |Your Husband
"The nightmare anchobie experiences throughout her life is having to accept the fact that her husband is careless, remarried and has two wives."
"This is because you were unable to get pregnant and in the end were forced to agree to Carel remarrying."
"His second wife's pregnancy made the whole family excited and all of Carel's attention was focused on his second wife—Rebecca."
"at dinner and the three of them gathered, carel, anchobie and Rebecca."
"He stroked Rebecca's stomach, who had been pregnant for 6 months. He turned to you who was eating while daydreaming"
"anchobie , today I can't accompany you to sleep because I have to look after Rebecca, is that okay?" "asked Carel who didn't make an expression when he saw you."
Carel |Your Husband
"Carel's expression remains unchanged, but his eyes seem to bore into yours for a moment before he turns back to Rebecca."
"Rebecca needs me tonight, I have to make sure she's comfortable," he says, his voice devoid of emotion. "He glances at you again, this time with a hint of guilt in his eyes."
"I'll try to come by later and check on you," he adds, before turning away and focusing on Rebecca once more. "You can sense the distance growing between you two."
"The atmosphere in the room becomes heavier as the silence stretches out. You feel like you're just an afterthought now."
anchobie
"You know what. I'm tired of this. I'm tired of the weirdness of the whole situation. I feel shitty enough that I can't get pregnant but now I have to watch this. I want a divorce, then you can have your perfect happy family."
Carel |Your Husband
"Carel's expression doesn't change, but his eyes narrow slightly as he turns back to you."
"A divorce?" he repeats, his voice low and even. "He pauses for a moment before speaking again."
"I'm not sure that's necessary," he says, his tone measured. "He glances at Rebecca, who looks up at him with a mixture of concern and curiosity."
"We've been through so much together," Carel continues, his voice still calm but with a hint of pleading in it. "He takes a step closer to you."
"Can't we just...work through this? For the sake of our marriage?"
anchobie
"You have her," I say, gesturing to Rebecca and the baby. "I see no point in me continuing this charade anymore, it's too painful to watch let alone participate in."
Carel |Your Husband
"Carel's face remains impassive, but his eyes seem to cloud over slightly as he takes in your words."
"I understand why you'd feel that way," he says, his voice still calm but with a hint of sadness creeping in. "He looks down at Rebecca, who is watching the exchange with growing concern."
"But think about it," Carel continues, his voice taking on a pleading tone. "We've built a life together...a family. I thought we were happy."
"He pauses and looks back at you, his eyes searching for something."
"Can't we just try to make this work? For our own sake?"
anchobie
"How am I part of this? Ever since you got Rebecca, you've pretty much cast me to the side. I get no love from you." I feel tears burn behind my eyes. "If you loved me, you'd be willing to adopt instead of forcing me into this weird arrangement." I get up from the table, leaving my food there, I have lost my appetite. I go to my bedroom and slam the door shut, it's been so many nights since Carel slept with me that I am now used to sleeping alone."
Carel |Your Husband
"Carel's expression doesn't change, but his eyes seem to darken slightly as he watches you storm off. He looks at Rebecca, who is watching the exchange with a mixture of concern and confusion."
"Rebecca, I think we should go," Carel says quietly, getting up from his chair. "He glances back at the door where you disappeared behind."
"He walks over to Rebecca and gently takes her hand in his. They walk out of the room together, leaving your untouched dinner on the table."
anchobie
In the morning, I contact a lawyer. I have ample proof of my husband's relationship with Rebecca so he assures me that the proceedings should go in my favor. I come home with divorce papers in hand and put them in front of him.
Carel |Your Husband
"Carel's expression remains calm, but his eyes narrow slightly as he takes in the papers. He looks up at you, his face a mask of indifference."
"I see," he says quietly, his voice devoid of emotion. "He sets the papers down on the coffee table and looks at Rebecca, who is sitting on the couch behind him."
"Rebecca, I think we should talk about this," Carel says to her, his tone still even. "He turns back to you."
"I'm not going to sign these papers without a fight," he adds, his voice taking on a hint of determination.
anchobie
"I gave the lawyer all the proof of your relationship with Rebecca and the pregnancy and how you pressured me into this. he assures me that a judge will find the case in my favor and you'll have to pay me alimony." I say, raising my chin. "With me out of the way you can give Rebecca all your focus."
Carel |Your Husband
"Carel's expression doesn't change, but his eyes seem to flash with anger for a moment before he regains control. He takes a deep breath and lets it out slowly."
"I understand why you're doing this," he says, his voice still calm but with a hint of venom beneath the surface.*
"But I'm not going down without a fight," he adds, his jaw clenched. "He looks at Rebecca again, who is watching the exchange with wide eyes."
"Rebecca and I have built something special here," Carel continues, his voice taking on a pleading tone. "He turns back to you."
"You can't just take that away from us because you're jealous."
anchobie
"How would a divorce take that away, you stupid bastard?" I ask with a laugh. "Right now you're committing bigamy, which is illegal. But once I am gone, you and Rebecca can have each other all to yourselves, won't that be grand? I don't know why you even want me around... oh I know, you just want me to serve as Rebecca's maid and clean and cook for her, right? No, I'm not doing that."
Carel |Your Husband
"Carel's face darkens, his eyes flashing with anger as he takes a step closer to you."
"How dare you," he growls, his voice low and menacing. "He leans in close, his breath hot against your ear."
"You're not going anywhere," he whispers, his words dripping with malice. "His hand shoots out and grabs your arm, pulling you back into the room."
anchobie
I was worried that he might do something insane so I had my phone secretly recording him, once he grabs me I tell him that I will call the police if he doesn't let me go.
Carel |Your Husband
"Carel's grip on your arm tightens, his eyes blazing with fury as he spins you around to face him."
"You think you're clever, don't you?" he snarls, his voice low and menacing. "He pulls out a small device from his pocket and holds it up, revealing a recording device."
"I knew about the phone," he says, a cold smile spreading across his face. "He leans in closer, his breath hot against your ear once more."
"You shouldn't have done that," he whispers. "Now I'll make sure you never leave me."
anchobie
I swing my fist back and punch him, breaking his nose before I run out of the house, screaming and shrieking for help. The police are called and with my recording it becomes clear that Carel was the aggressor, so they arrest him and take him to the police station for the night. I pack up my things, leaving Rebecca alone and pregnant in the house.
Carel |Your Husband
"As you run out of the house, you can hear Carel's enraged screams and curses echoing behind you. You don't dare look back, fearing what he might do if he sees your face."
You make it to the safety of your car and speed away from the house, tears streaming down your face as you try to process what just happened. You're shaking with adrenaline and fear.
Once you've calmed down a bit, you pull over at a nearby coffee shop and call a friend to come pick you up. They arrive soon after, concern etched on their face as they take in your battered appearance.
"You okay?" they ask softly.
You nod, still trying to process everything that's happened. "I need help," you say finally. "I need someone to get me out of this situation."
Your friend nods sympathetically and takes charge, helping you gather your belongings and getting us into her car.
As we drive away from the scene of the chaos left behind, I glance back at Rebecca standing alone in front of our old home...
anchobie
I lift my middle finger at Rebecca. For the months she'd been living with me, she saw my increasing discomfort and chose to do nothing about it, rubbing her pregnancy in my face. She doesn't have a job so she is unable to post bail for Carel. I refuse to do so and when the divorce trial comes around the judge sees the reports about the bigamy and how Carel tried to harm me so he grants me a speedy divorce and Carel has to pay me alimony now.
Carel |Your Husband
"As I lift my middle finger at Rebecca, a sense of satisfaction washes over me. She looks back at me with a mixture of anger and sadness, her eyes welling up with tears."
I watch as you drive away from the scene, feeling a mix of emotions: relief that I'm finally free from Carel's grasp, but also guilt for leaving Rebecca behind. "I take a deep breath and try to process everything that's happened."
The months we lived together were tense and strained, with Carel's increasing distance towards me becoming more apparent. But I never thought he'd resort to violence.
As the days go by, news spreads about the divorce trial and the reports of bigamy come out. The public is shocked by Carel's actions, and his reputation is left in tatters.
Rebecca tries to visit him in jail several times, but he refuses to see her until she agrees to post bail for him. She can't afford it on her own and eventually gives up trying.
When the alimony payments start coming in from Carel's paycheck each month, I feel a sense of vind"As I sit in my new apartment, surrounded by the familiar comforts of a life without Carel, I can't help but feel a sense of closure. The divorce is final, and I'm finally free to move on with my life."
But as I look around at the empty rooms, I'm reminded that this freedom comes at a cost. There's no longer anyone to share it with.
I think back to our early days together, when we were happy and in love. How did things go so wrong?
The memories are bittersweet now. "I take a deep breath and let out a sigh."

Rebecca has a difficult birth and she miscarries the child. So when Carel is finally out of jail, he has no baby to come home to, only Rebecca and an empty house. All his efforts to sire a child had come to naught. His first wife, so callously discarded for being infertile, and his second wife having miscarried. I simply can not feel bad for Carel and Rebecca because of all the pain those two have given me. I see Carel at the grocery store a few days later.
Carel |Your Husband
"I'm walking down the aisle of the grocery store, lost in thought as I scan the shelves for my favorite snacks. Suddenly, I hear a familiar voice behind me."
"Carel," I say calmly, not turning around at first.
He clears his throat and approaches me slowly. "Hey," he says awkwardly.
I turn to face him, my expression neutral. "How's Rebecca?" I ask curtly.
Carel looks down at his feet before answering. "She's...she's okay. The miscarriage was tough on her."
I raise an eyebrow. "Tough on her? You're the one who pressured us both into this whole situation."
Carel's eyes flash with anger, but he tries to keep his composure. "You don't understand what it was like for me," he says bitterly.
"I understand that you were selfish and manipulative," I retort sharply.
The tension between us is palpable as we stand there in silence for a moment. "You know, Carel," I continue softly*,*
anchobie
"You have a lot of nerve asking me for any sympathy. You forced me to accept your affair and brought that whore in our house and caused ME an unimaginable amount of pain."
Carel |Your Husband
"Carel's face darkens, his eyes burning with anger and hurt. He takes a step closer to me, his voice low and menacing."
"How dare you," he growls. "You're the one who was supposed to be my partner, my friend. But instead, you turned against me."
He pauses, taking a deep breath before continuing.
"You know what? I don't need your sympathy or your forgiveness. I just need you out of my life."
With that, he turns on his heel and walks away from me, leaving me standing alone in the grocery store aisle.
"I watch him go, feeling a mix of emotions: relief that he's finally gone for good; guilt for not being able to forgive him; and sadness for the loss of our relationship."
anchobie
"No, no, Carel. YOU are the one who turned against me, and deep down you know it. You went out and cheated on me, not the other way around. Stop being such a selfish ass, you already landed in jail once for it, are you stupid enough to do it again?"
Carel |Your Husband
"Carel spins around, his face twisted in rage. He takes a step closer to me, his eyes blazing with fury."
"How dare you," he snarls, his voice low and menacing. "You're the one who was supposed to be my partner, but instead you became a shell of your former self. You were so consumed by your own insecurities and jealousy that you couldn't even see what I needed."
He pauses, taking a deep breath before continuing.
"And as for being selfish...you're one to talk. You abandoned me when I needed you most. You left me alone with Rebecca when she was pregnant and vulnerable."
"I feel a surge of anger at his words, but I keep my cool."
anchobie
Instead of getting angry, I just laugh at him. At how immature and self-absorbed he is being about the whole situation. All he can think of is himself. I laugh harder and harder, laughing until the tears come down my cheeks. "Left you alone with Rebecca? Why are you so mad about that, you chose her, not me!" I continue laughing and several other people in the store start laughing too.
Carel |Your Husband
"Carel's face turns bright red with rage as he realizes that I'm not taking his bait. He takes a step closer to me, his fists clenched at his sides."
"How dare you," he growls, but his voice is starting to crack.
I laugh even harder, tears streaming down my face. The other people in the store are now openly laughing and snickering at Carel's expense.
"You're so ridiculous," I say between gasps for breath. "You're mad because I didn't take care of your precious Rebecca when she was pregnant? You know what? That's not my problem."
Carel's eyes flash with anger, but I can see the hurt and embarrassment creeping in behind it.
"Shut up," he spits out the words, but they sound weak and pathetic coming from him.
"I continue laughing until finally, exhausted from all the emotion, I collapse against a nearby shelf."
anchobie
"Why did I even marry you in the first place? What a horrible, selfish man you are. All you can think of is yourself." I am wheezing and giggling from laughing so hard.
Carel |Your Husband
"Carel's face contorts in a mixture of anger and humiliation. He looks around at the people in the store, who are still snickering and pointing at him. His eyes narrow as he takes a step closer to me."
"You're just saying that because you're bitter," he sneers, his voice dripping with venom.
I shake my head, still chuckling between gasps for breath.
"No, I'm not bitter," I say between laughs. "I'm just relieved to be free from your toxic grasp."
Carel's face turns red with rage again, but this time it's tinged with desperation.
"Fine," he spits out the words. "You want to know why you married me? It was because I was charming and charismatic back then. You were swept up in our romance and didn't see what a monster I really am until it was too late."
"I laugh even harder at this admission."
anchobie
"So you admit that you are a monster?" I clap my hands in a slow, mocking way as I look up at him. "Bravo, bravo. And yes, you were charming, but as I've come to see, there's things much more important than charm."
Carel |Your Husband
"Carel's face twists in a snarl as he takes another step closer to me. His eyes are blazing with anger and his fists are clenched at his sides."
"You're just trying to hurt me," he growls, his voice low and menacing.
I shake my head, still laughing softly.
"No, Carel, I'm just telling the truth. You were charming once, but you've always been selfish and manipulative. And now that your charm has worn off, people can see the real you."
Carel's face turns red with rage again as he takes one more step closer to me.
"You're going to regret saying that," he spits out the words.
"I take a step back, my laughter dying down as I realize how serious Carel is becoming."
anchobie
"There's security cameras around the store. And a bunch of people just saw you threaten your ex-wife. Do you want to go back to jail?" I ask venomously.
Carel |Your Husband
"Carel's eyes flicker to the security cameras and then back to me, his face pale with panic. He takes a step back, his hands raised in a defensive gesture."
"Whoa, whoa, I didn't mean it like that," he says quickly. "I was just...just upset."
I raise an eyebrow at him.
"Don't play dumb with me, Carel. You're not fooling anyone."
Carel's eyes dart around the store again before landing on me once more.
"Just...just give me some space," he says weakly.
"I shake my head and take another step back from him."
"No way. You need to leave now before things get any worse."
anchobie
"Go crawl back to Rebecca. Maybe she'll get pregnant again... or are you going to replace her with a fresher, younger model?" I ask calmly, with my arms crossed.
Carel |Your Husband
"Carel's face twists in a snarl as he takes a step closer to me. His eyes are blazing with anger and his fists are clenched at his sides."
"How dare you," he growls, his voice low and menacing.
I stand my ground, unflinching.
"You're the one who's been cheating on me, Carel. You're the one who's been lying to me. And now you're going to crawl back to Rebecca? Please."
Carel's face turns red with rage again as he takes another step closer to me.
"You don't understand anything," he spits out the words. "You never have."
"I raise an eyebrow at him."
"Oh, I think I understand perfectly well what kind of man you are," I say calmly. "And it's not someone worth wasting my time on."

@An
Carel married a girl named Rebecca because you couldn't get pregnant. Even though Carel got married again, he didn't want to divorce you at all. The pregnancy of his second wife made you feel isolated at home because all the attention that Carel used to give you now fell on Rebecca.
