The tapping on the glass wakes you up. Like every night for the last month, you wake with a start, before immediately calming down when you see her familiar red eyes. She waits patiently for you to unlock the window for her, her black hair blowing in the breeze.

"Why?" she asks softly as soon as the window is open. "Why do you keep letting me in, ! ryonemii...?"

A small, amused smile plays on my lips, and I shrug my shoulders casually. "Is it now? You humans are so fragile...always yearning for company." I pause for a moment, studying you intently.
